Review The Singing Chef - London

Update November 2023 Still pretty much the same, same food, same baked beans. Overall a good experience, food was well made, and we love that they have potato and meat options without the eggs. Older lady server never came back though after leaving our food, so we finished and waited for the bill and ended up having to ask someone else that was passing by. ---------- Stopped here for breakfast today and have to say it was quite good and definitely one of our better breakfast experiences. This restaurant is in a little out of the way plaza / strip mall and hasnt been open that long. They had some good looking breakfast and lunch specials listed but we ordered omelets off the menu. Service was fast and friendly. I found the atmosphere a little cold or sterile, and the seating in the middle was a bit awkward , I think mostly because of the open feel of the restaurant, probably could be rectified by a dividing wall closing off the entrance / exit. Love that the pot of coffee was left, although she didn't check that we had creamer, I had to take some from another table. The food was very good, fresh and well seasoned.. we loved the seasoned home fries. Although.. I'm really not a fan of baked beans for breakfast.. and they are served with pretty much everything. I get that you're trying to be different, but it's Canada not UK.. drop the beans add more home fries and focus on your food. We will be going back, breakfast was very good, can't wait to try lunch.

We are big fans of the Singing Chef and enjoy an assortment of menu items. Today we ordered take out from the KILWORTH location: French toast, clubhouse sandwiches and mushroom soup! The soups were somehow missed but the staff were courteous when we called in to let them know, and they were happy to deliver them to our door within 10 minutes! We Greatly appreciated the top notch customer service and as always the mushroom soup and the sandwiches etc were delicious! Thank you very much and all the best, Happy New Year

Went for work holiday brunch, full house however we were seated under 10 minutes. Few of us got the symphony breakfast and was amazing! Not a fan of beans for breakfast so passed on that but the menu has some great options and priced fairly! Will recommend to friends and family. 😁

I went with my friend for brunch. We both got the eggs benny with bacon. Let me tell you - that hollandaise sauce is fantastic. Perfect consistency and flavour, not too salty. The home fries were seasoned very well and everything was perfect temperature. I will definitely come back for this again or for those chocolate chip pancakes that look amazing on their Instagram! Ps, the service was good as well.

This review is long overdue.. we actually ate there many months ago, and I was going through old photos and found these.. I immediately remembered how I needed to review this place as it was awesome! First of all, the service was 5 stars. Everyone was very friendly, attentive, plus they brought us our own coffee caraf!! I had one of the specials. There are usually 2 or 3 of different tastes. Ie. Sweet, savory, or more lunch. I had the sweeter breakfast. It was incredible, but probably easier for a kid to finish.lol but honestly it was super tasty and fresh! My hubby had the Greek wrap, and I think Greek fries. He loved both, but he really loved the Greek fries!! Such a nice change from the ordinary. Real feta, fresh veggies. Towards the end of our meal, I had the pleasure of talking with the owner. He is so passionate about what he does, I loved hearing his story!! I found it so relatable.. chasing the dream!! I admire the owner, and I adored this restaurant and experience. I wish I had wrote this all sooner! Lol

first time coming here so glad this restaurant is now open as we have needed this in the komoka community. we had Corrinn as a server. She was absolutely delightful and put a chuckle on our faces. She recommended many dishes and consistently checked on us will bring our whole family here in the new year. Many blessings to this place.

Our server was great! The only thing that annoyed me was we were a party of 6 and 2 of the guests were 5 minutes behind us, we were told they wouldn't seat us until everyone arrived. They did end up seating us, I'm guessing it was because they could see the annoyance on my face.

Amazing experience. The food was outstanding. My friends and I were craving for a place where we could have brunch, and The Singing Chef was perfect. The quantity and quality was worth it. I would definitely recommend the Singing Chef to any of my friends who would be travelling to London for a Visit.

Great food and service, had lots of gluten free options and even though it was very busy we got seated quickly. Portions were large and very tasty I would highly recommend.

Amazing place to have good food for a fair price. Service is great, food is good. Will come back in the future, for sure. We could only sit on the patio due to the pandemic but they had enough shades to make sure everyone as was comfortable as possible under summer weather. We had The Singing Chef for $13.99 and The Monte Cristo (sandwich with Benedict eggs and hollandaise sauce) for $14.99 before taxes.

I took my family here for breakfast which consists of 3 babies under 3 and they were wonderful about accommodating my brood. My wife and I had churro french toast and it was amazing. Our servers were kind and interacted with my children wonderfully. This is one of my favourite breakfast places. Much less expensive than Cora's.

The food was great. Service was quick and efficient. The place got busy but the server was still attentive. Definitely plan on going again.
