This restaurant is a great place for breakfast or lunch with daily specials. I find the skillets/omelets to be excellent and filling. The service is awesome and the owner/employees are friendly and very attentive.
Went here for breakfast as it is only open for breakfast and lunch. This wasn't a bad breakfast but we found the breakfast option list pretty basic except for the variety of eggs Benedict choices. Staff was pleasant and kept the coffee flowing.
James Place is kind of in the middle of two best restaurant extremes. It is just better than the basic and very affordable Saturday morning at Trissa's on Dundas where a couple each get 2 eggs 2pieces of toast 4 pieces of bacon home fries and coffee with endless refills for about $11 a couple, and they serve hundreds on Saturday, and, the best place for breakfast in London, Billy's downtown. James Place pricing, which is not exorbitant is more like Billy's but that's where the similarity stops as breakfast at Billy's is an experience.
Haven' t had lunch here as the menu was not as interesting as many other restaurants in the city. Go here for a good but pretty basic meal.

This is my first time going here, so I decided to get their classic breakfast.
It came with hash browns with cheese and onions, two eggs, bacon, a chocolate chip pancake, and rye bread toast. All of that for an affordable price.
I also want to give a special shout-out to Jillian for amazing customer service!
I was not disappointed in the slightest. Great food and fantastic service. So give James Place Restaurant a try!

Excellent atmosphere with a nice selection of Christmas music quietly playing in the background. Service was top notch with the waiter checking in several times to make sure we were looked after (coffee was topped up, checking to see that the food was good, etc.)
And most importantly the food was excellent!! I ordered a Canadian Omelette that came with toast and a generous portion home fries. I want to also make special mention that James Place has some of the Best home fries in the city in my opinion. Giving you a choice of baked or deep fried (I always go with deep fried) they are oh so delicious!! You can even add fried onions or cheese to them if you really want to, but even without they are excellent!!
Five Stars... this is one of my favorite breakfast places!!
What a cute little place in a random area. The customer service was excellent. Very attentive and the atmosphere was great. This is a true diner. The portions were huge and the food was good. The hamburger I had was average but the chicken soup was fantastic. The Buffalo Chicken Wrap is pretty great as well. Prices aren't overly expensive either.
My first time eating here . The atmosphere was warm and welcoming with friendly service . The food was delicious and a great value. Really large portions and the option of grilled or deep fried home fries . Our server was Nadette and she was fabulous . Open 8am- 2pm daily . Would definitely come back !

And the place is spotless! Not that superficial clean - I'm talking baseboards and window sills didn't have dust on them. They are very thorough with the cleaning, which is always so wonderful to see especially in a restaurant. When we were leaving, one of the staff members was wiping down all the picture frames!
Will definitely be back again and again when I'm in London.

Ample seating. Sit near the window in a booth, near the wall in the booth (beautiful sceneries painted on the wall), or sir in the middle on chairs.
Fantastic little gem. Have probably driven past it a million times and never knew it was there..heard about it through an acquaintance and wish I knew about it much earlier. Fantastic food and generous portions. Not the cheapest but definitely worth paying for quality!
Lovely quiet and peaceful place for everyone specially family. It is our first time being here on family day, and it definitely will not the last one. Thanks the kindly staff and wise manager. The menu has almost satisfying for breKfast which we were there for it.

The staff and food at James’ place is great. Our waitress was kind and doting.
The only thing I’d suggest is adding a baby changing table in the bathroom as there isn’t one. Besides that, bathrooms are very clean.
Great place but not wheel chair friendly, with no automatic door openers.
