Review Fireside Grill And Bar - London

Today, I bused over to Fireside Grill and Bar for breakfast. I couldn’t resist because a friend (who used to work at Fireside) mentioned they have something called the Avocado Smash. So the Avocado Smash is what I had. Guacamole and two poached eggs sat on a slice of toast. Hash browns and two other pieces of toast with jam came on the side. Next, I ate some French toast with chocolate chips and powdered sugar. My server also offered maple syrup. Last but not least, I had a chocolate milkshake for dessert. It was topped with whipped cream and drizzled chocolate syrup. The dining area is spacious. They have a bar with three TVs, and there are dart boards. Fireside even sports a nice patio in the warmer months. My total came to $43. I want to thank Sandra for being my server. She was just the best! They are open 7 days a week from morning till night. They have many regular goers that enjoy classic, homemade food. There is a reason why Fireside is cherished by locals.

Been a few times now and will keep coming back for the great service and delicious food! We've tried the wings, burgers, quesadilla, fried pickles, fajitas and fries so far and all were great. Highly recommend, definitely try their hand cut fries !

Family went here for dinner and glad we did. Kids had fingers and fries, wifey had the nachos with chicken and guacamole, and I had the smash burger. Everything was great! It was dinner time and assuming Sundays are their slower shifts. Just a bartender and one server on so the service suffered quite a bit but it wasn’t horrible. We will be returning soon

Being in the food business ourselves, definitely a place I would come back to! Everything was absolutely delicious. Calamari appetizer outstanding, as the beer and cheddar soup. I had fish tacos, my husband had the liver. Both excellent

I took my 4 year old son and we both had a great meal. He had the kids fish and chips and I had the chicken burger. Everything is made in house and is delicious. We will be back!

I had the nacho with beef and she had the kong pasta and we were both happy with our meal. Large portions, fair prices and great service. Only complaint was the burchetta bread on the app menu could have been toasted a lil longer and the whisky sour was served in the wrong glassware. Overall, Very happy with our first experience here and we can't wait to try more of the menu.

We have a Twitter group that meets up monthly and this was our December spot. Great service!!

The food was amazing, the service was amazing, only 1 star from 5 because I got burned from grease on my burger. Would definitely recommend though and will definitely be returning!

I had the fish tacos, and I have to say it was the most tasty, and innovative thing I ate this year. The fusion between the fish, pineapple and avocado was something I would come back for. Thank you!

every time I go in it's either for the panzerotti, chicken fingers or the burgers. I'm sure that everything on the menu is great, but I'm definitely stuck on those 3 items

Where is my server. I went to the Fireside several times as it close my home and it seemed convenient place to go out for dinner or drinks, or so you would think. When I first walked in I wasn't quite sure where I was. Is this a restaurant or is this a bar,. There was indeed a bar, but strangely there were no liquor bottles on the shelf, just some cheesy candles and a bottle of red wine. <br/> The dining area was populated with furniture one might expect to see at a high school assembly or maybe a retirement home, needless to say to I wasn't impressed with the decor. The most glaring failure on the part of whoever owns this establishment is the apparent lack of anything resembling an actual fireplace anywhere in the restaurant. You would think a business calling itself "The Fireside" may have an actual fireplace! I suppose they chose this name due to the fact that a local fire station is located nearby. Other than locals however, no one passing by would be likely to notice at all.<br/> On a positive note, the service by my server Alyson, who introduced herself by name, was top notch. Very professional and curtious. <br/> The food on the other hand was quite average. I ordered an all day breakfast, a personal favorite of mine. The home fries were literally raw below the surface, half cooked at best. The rest, aside from the eggs tasted like a TV dinner reheated three or four times. <br/> Despite the decor and food quality, I tipped well as the service I received was excellent. Unfortunately I will not be back. anyplace that cannot cook something as simple as a potato properly doesn't deserve a second chance with me.

No teamwork. Went here a couple of times there is an older lady real skinny likes to talk and talk and talk but not do her job the other lady had to get out drinks our food and refills but then it was a miracle the first one showed up to give us our bill what greed sad the other lady server us last time too but wasnt our server then either i hope she gets paid double for doing twice the work,

Discriminated Customer. I couldn't believe what I was seeing/hearing when I went for lunch with my parents to this restaurant last Thursday and the wait staff was discussing my sexual orientation with other staff and loud enough that I could hear it from where I was sitting which was by the entrance. Also, every time I looked up the Manager was staring at me from different areas of the restaurant. He creeped me out!!!!<br/>Oh and to set the record straight "no pun intended", I am 100% heterosexual and love the companionship and intimacy of a man. So if the waitresses want to talk about my sexual orientation they need to get their facts correct. Also, peoples' lives must be so boring and depressing and lack something to be so interested in someone's sexual orientation. Why would anyone care???????????????

The laziest staff and owners ever. Did not like it the new staff is slow and unknowledgeable yet dont care, the owners are never there i guess they will take our money though to many restaurants to give them the time of day but if you complain the solution is give you free food so everyone go eat for free they have to beg for business

My wife and our three children just moved to a new location and wanted to go out for dinner. <br/>Friends and family all said "go to the Fireside, we go there every week and it's right across the street from you".<br/><br/>I got there first to meet my wife and kids and intended on at least ordering all our drinks before they got there. But after just over 15 minutes, not only did I not have our drinks, and not only was the table still covered in dirty dishes, but I hadn't even been ackonwledged yet in any way at all!<br/><br/>After more than 15 minutes!<br/><br/>Maybe a bit understandable had they been busy but there were only 6 tables with customers and a minimum of 3 waitresses.<br/><br/>I don't know how a place with this kind of (lack of) service can stay in business, but at least I know they are now guaranteed 12 fewer regulars and 5 less new customers.

Been here twice for breakfast! Both times were fantastic. Service, food, and drinks all made the adventure worth while.

Use to go all the time but food has went down in quality. Burgers are now more bun and pastas are bland use to go at least 1-2 times A WEEK

I found a hair in my food and and the manager did not believe that it was not my hair. It was long and black hair, mine is short and brown. Bad idea to come here.

Ehh!. I've eaten here a couple of times because it was convenient. I ordered Fish & Chips and got a couple of those highliner fish sticks and some cardboard fries. My wife got the soup and a Clubhouse. Soup was a little salty but not too bad, the clubhouse was cold and soggy (tomatoes were pulpy). The second time I went I had the Burger. It wasn't too bad, but they had the same frozen fries on the side. The prices are cheap, but I'd rather have better food and pay a little more. The place seems to cater to the senior crowd on fixed incomes, so I don't see anything changing. That said, I don't know too many sit down restaurants where you can get a burger for under $7. Still beats McWhatever.

Owner has egg on his face..... A million times better!!. After a horrible previous "egg exploding experience" I decided to give this place a second chance, as I heard it was under new owner/management. <br/> Well, it is awesome now! Food and staff are amazing. I had the fish and being from Newfoundland I'm picky about good fish. It was fresh and delicious! Prices are great and the new owner gets it. I am very easy going and rarely complain about anything. But I think exploding food it's worth mentioning! I simply was telling the owner how dangerous it is to microwave eggs. If that's how he runs his business how do you know what really happens to your food back in the kitchen!!!!

THE OWNER/MANAGER HAS NO CONCERN FOR THE PEOPLE THAT SUPPORT HIS BUSNESS AT ALL!!!!!!!!<br/>I used to go to this restaurant on a very regular basis & brought friends & family there until NOW!!<br/>I brought friends with me for breakfest, my friend ordered eggs benedict & asked for the yolk hard. order came with yolk soft. They microwaved the eggs brought them back, and when my friend cut into the egg it BLEW UP all over the place, the table, walls, our clothes, coffees, EVERYTHING. <br/>A microwaved egg as you've probably guessed is VERY HOT, and felt it through our clothes, THANKFULLY nobody got any in their eye or this could have been VERY SERIOUS. <br/>Had to ask for the owner/manager because he didn't come on his own, explained the situation, which he did not seem to care. Explained the seriousness of the situation, did not seem to care but rather got all defensive about it. And to top it all off he still brought them a bill for the 1 meal that was ordered and stated that my friend complains everytime they're in (this was their first visit) they had never even seen him before. But he did not care.<br/><br/>HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE, THEIR SAFETY, HIS BUSINESS OR HOW THE FOOD IS COOKED SINCE THAT WAS PROBLEM THAT STARTED THE THING, THE EGG WASN'T COOKED RIGHT. Great food good prices BAD SERVICE. I have been to this establishment 2 times the service was good the first time I was there and so i came back the following weekend for breakfast.<br/> <br/>This time I was served by an older women who after taking my order and delivering my rather large breakfast retreated for the whole rest of my meal after delivering it to yak with the other waitresses. I needed a simple drink refill and since she wasn't coming over to visit me I asked the "hostess" who when asked for a drink refill said "sorry i'm the 'hostess you will have to get your waitress to get that i don't do that" I was in shock at that, I have never heard that before at any other restaurant. So I finished my meal as soon as I was done the waitress brought me my bill and i went to find the manager to speak to him about the service in private. He said he was one of the owners and he basically defended the waitress and said she's always so good and he can't believe this would be an issue I told him that the week before I had received excellent service and I liked the food and the prices but that I was disappointed this week that the waitress didn't come to the table even once after dropping my food off except to bring the bill, and that i was very disappointed in the hostess response. He basically shrugged it all off and said he didn't believe it and then the waitress came over to double team me and also tell me how wrong I was. I paid the bill and then left before I lost my temper but I will not be returning, if the owner had simply said sorry and ill talk to them I would have been very satisfied and would probably be eating there next sunday, but since he doesn't care to deal with polite concerns even when brought to his attention ( I have been a manager for years and most annoyed customers walk out WITHOUT telling you what was wrong and never return telling lots of friends about the bad experience, when one DOES stop to give you feedback its golden! as now you have an to fix the issue and keep the customer, and avoid him telling others about his poor experience when this happens generally the manager should not ignore the concern and defend his staff blindly then have the staff member get involved and escalate the situation) I will vote with my wallet and not return.

Good prices, great food. I have been here for breakfast on several occasions. The food tastes great, you get a good size portion and the prices are very reasonable. <br/><br/>I would recommend, have recommended, I will be back and have been back.

Excellent service. The staff is always friendly. They are great with kids. The food is very tasty. Great plave for some burgers and fries.
