Review Grace Restaurant - London

I can't believe how long I've waited to nosh at this stunning spot! Went for the price fixe 4 course and was completely satisfied. We tried one each of the appys, french onion/ tomatoe soup was awesome and the eggplant with cheese and arugula was so perfect! Plums with cheese and nuts was the next, and pork Belly to die for! Perfectly crispy with tender meat. Rainbow trout on apple and pearl barely was fresh and flavourful, and my spatzel with beef Mushroom ragout was such a blend of magical tastes. Buzz tart with chocolate ice cream was perfect but her canele was a beautiful sculpture that tasted equally beautiful. If u haven't taken a cruise downtown London, this is def worth it. We parked in the Citi plaza two blocks away for 4 dollars, covered with security patrols.

Went here for my partner and I's anniversary. They obviously try to do interesting things with the menu, and I can definitely appreciate that. I think the easiest thing to do here is to make a baseball analogy. Grace swings and swings hard. Sometimes, the swings turn out really well, and sometimes they turn out poorly. Zucchini fritters was decent and the sauces it came with were unique, but the fritter itself could have been crispier and better salted. Boston cream salad was crisp and refreshing tasting, but overall didn't leave a big impact. Burrata was excellent, very fresh. The apricot jam was delicious with it. Again, the tortilla chips were underseasoned and lackluster. The crudo was interesting but the whitefish itself didn't have a ton of flavour and the amount of roe was sparse (its saltiness was very needed to balance out how sweet the rest of the dish was). For the mains, both dishes, a whitefish loin and a steak, had questionably sweet components. Why does my main course need sweet mushroom jam, or compressed watermelon? Flavour wise it didn't make sense and didn't go exceptionally well together. Funnily, the smoked potatoes with the steak reminded me of how All Dressed Ruffles taste. For dessert, the lavender crepe was just okay, it reminded me of a worse lemon bar. However, the chocolate cake with miso ice cream was incredible, and oddly perhaps the most deep flavour-wise of anything on the menu. The cake was moist and fudgey, the ice cream both sweet and umami, and the sesame crisp on top gave the whole thing some great texture variety. Highly recommend both the chocolate cake and the burrata. Everything else was just okay to mediocre. Service wise, the servers were nice and attentive but each course took about 30 minutes to come out and so the entire dinner took over 2 hours which imo is way too long. Overall worth it? I'm not sure, it probably depends on the exact menu they have going at the time. There's sparks of genius in here, but the execution perhaps is on the fence. I liked it, but didn't love it.

It was the best meal I’ve had in the city in years. Pictured is an eggplant fritter with cheeses and herbs (“Garden frost”) on the menu. I had meant to photograph each dish as they came out, but I quickly forgot after the first dish because it was too good. Each dish was well thought out, plated beautifully, and all were unique. The portion sizes mean that you really should order the prix fixe of four courses, whereas a la carte ordering might leave you wanting.

My only complaint is that I can't decide if I liked the food or the service better? First, the restaurant - Very bright and airy, comfortable seating and lots of room between the tables, so you can still have a nice conversation. The food - We did the Prix Fixe menu, and it was delicious. Lots of options, vegan, gluten free etc. Everything we had was delicious. I know it may sound silly, but one of the favourite dishes was the carrots. The dessert was also very decadent and a large portion The service - Admittedly, I eat at a lot of restaurants, and I am not sure I have experienced such kind, patience, and fun service in a very, very long time. We had two servers that were interchanging (it's killing me that I cannot remember their names), and they were both outstanding. Good sense of humour, knowledgeable and very nice. They accidentally punched in one of our plates incorrectly, so we got an extra plate for free. They were so apologetic, when at other restaurants, you can't even get a "sorry" if your whole order is wrong. (It's the little things) Bonus - The drinks - We had a glass of the sparkling wine, a Paper Plane and a (very) dirty martini. All of them were made with care and tasted amazing. Next time I'm in London, I'll be stopping by for at least a cocktail, if not the whole experience again.

Fine dining in a more relaxed atmosphere. Food was all interesting and flavourful. Well presented and courses told a story. We tried the place out for Londonlicious and would highly recommend. Price is incredible for the experience, good portions. Drinks can be a little pricy, but we're interesting cocktails and paired well with dinner.

I recently had the pleasure of hosting a corporate dinner party at Grace. We host these parties all across Canada in various cities. Grace really stood out to me. Service was on point, very friendly and attentive wait staff. The team at Grace not only accommodated our requirements for a custom 6 course tasting menu with a select wine pairing to compliment the menu, but surpassed expectation. Each course was bursting with flavour, and the selected wine paired so well with every course! Compliments to their Chef and Sommelier for creating a wonderful experience. And a huge thank you to the Manager and his team for exceptional service!

Excellent food, creative menu, and staff was very courteous and informative. We chose the more upscale restaurant for a milestone celebration and had a wonderful time: all the dishes we had an interesting edge and were beautifully plated. Some were bold, others delicately flavoured, All were delicious!

I came here Sunday morning for a birthday brunch and wow were we blown away. The interior is stunning, with a beautiful open concept kitchen into the dining area. You can watch the chefs working their craft and see the bustling magic of the bar. The waitresses were so friendly, patient and kind with our group especially with accommodating allergies such as dairy free and soy free. I cannot stress enough how hard it is to find a restaurant that takes the time to check their ingredients and offer more than a bare minimum for people with dietary restrictions. The food was absolutely delicious!!! The poached eggs here are at another level. The Bene's and cappuccino were amazing. I highly recommend Grace Restaurant and can't wait to return. Update: The 5-course dinner was divine. I am definitely a Grace Restaurant addict now.

Deliciously creative and well-thought-out dishes. Everything we've had at Grace's has been delicious. We did their New Year's Eve dinner - was super impressed by the food, wine pairings, and service so we went back. Again absolutely delicious and worth the trip! We've tried both the set menus and the a la carte options and both are great. I'd highly recommend the set menu with wine pairings for special occasions. Their fresh oysters are consistently good. Cocktails are always a hit!

The first thing you notice when you walk I to grace is the beautiful atmosphere and the warm comfortable feeling. You are then promptly greeted by one of their amazing servers and taken to your table. The servers are very knowledgeable about the menu they are serving and the food is fantastic. Cutlery is switched between each course and you never feel like they do not have time for you. No detail is missed at grace, from the comfortable seating to the very clean bathrooms. I highly recommend dining at grace
