Review Jack Astor's - London

Had an amazing time, I loved the atmosphere and our server Nathaniel was incredible. He was very quick with our drinks, the food tasted great and he even helped us set up the Inspired Rewards app. He also recommended some items off the limited time menu and they did not disappoint. I’ll be sure to come here more often.

I always have such a good time here. Good food and drink, and the music is fantastic. Also, the size of their desser is huge and soooo good yummy

I went there for the SALT rescue event, as always Jack Astor’s is one of my fav places to grab a bite. It was great to have SALT Rescue there and be able to help their cause. Great initiative from Jack Astors to support them this year. Kids were having a good time, they also had face painting.

Mitch was my server, and he was an absolute STUD. Didn’t annoy us, simply replaced our empty beverages when they were empty and asked us if we wanted food. The food we ordered was spot on. Mitch is a normal guy, and serves you proper. Kylie the manager is super friendly and accommodating. Next time you go, ask for Kylie to set you up with a nice booth for your group and she will. Mitch and Kylie deserve an A+ for their service.

working in London Ontario for the past few weeks and have been trying the local cuisine. jack actors is always a good meal. I had the steak and baked potato. Man, was it ever good. good staff, great atmosphere. The price is getting up there, but it is the same everywhere, if I was getting subsidized from work then I would not be eating out like this. This not their fault its just inflation.

Visited London on Friday night & decided to come here for dinner to enjoy the nice weather on their patio. I was seated right away with no wait. I’m going to start by saying as soon as I walked in all the host & servers had a smile on there face which made the environment very pleasant to be in. My server Mitchell was very welcoming. He was able to get us started with drinks right away & help us out with the menu (since I can never decide what I want 🙈) Mitchell made sure we were always taken care of & made sure my glass was always full & never empty. Service was fantastic. Very friendly and courteous. I order the nachos with chicken. Top layer of nachos were full size, layers below were broken up. The toppings were good but not enough. I don't think half a chicken breast was used. Not an item I will order again.

It’s a great place to stop in when passing through London. It was a Saturday night and the place was packed! Service was really quick and the food was great! Very tasteful and large portions. Very surprised with the amount of options to choose from for dinner. Most places have reduced this menus as of late, but this place! Everyone was pleased with their choices!

Amazing service, wonderful food, and great service. 10/10. I had the Holy smoke BBQ burger, and was not disappointed.

Had a great time here! Server was excellent! Food was great! Best chicken fingers hands down! And the tacos were really good too! Great atmosphere with games and lots of TVs! Definitely go back and highly recommend! Great for all ages too!

Never disappoints. Went on a Wednesday night. Got seated right away. They gave our toddler a toy, colouring paper, and crayons. The server was friendly and helpful. Ordered mushroom truffle cheeseburger, chicken fingers, and side of poutine. Got a long island ice tea to drink. Delicious.

We visited while in London for a birthday weekend with our boys. The waitress was amazing. She made sure the boys felt the birthday love. She even put on the hockey game for my fiance. Food was amazing and dessert delicious.

Update: We had dinner here again on September 11th 2022 and as always it was a great meal! We ate here early November after an afternoon of Christmas shopping. Fast and friendly service, even went the extra mile to make sure there were extra cherries on hand for my youngest who loves them in his soft drink. I personally had the best steak I have ever had at a Jack Astors, and the rest of our families meals were excellent! All COVID protocols were in place and adhered to.

The waitresses are always so kind and patient. They always make my visit so pleasant and it’s always fun have a chat with them. The food is always fresh and hot when served. My favourite dish is their Asiago Chicken Pasta - definitely a go to! Their chicken fingers and burgers is also delicious. Another go to for my order is the pan-bread with cheese - my friend and I always get it every time we go. However, I still wish they served mashed potatoes as a side because their garlic mash potatoes were soo good! I also love their alcoholic drinks menu! My go to is always their blue raspberry lemonade - this drink is also really good when it’s frozen. I also like their frozen unicorn Bellini as well. Another favourite of mine is their sangria. Can’t ever go wrong with these drink choices.

Had just received a $15 coupon in the mail and decided to use it at Jack Astor's for lunch. I have eaten at this chain many times with rarely any concerns. Our waitress was prompt as was our meal, which was served hot. Gets a bit pricey if you navigate off the lunch menu. Partner had the chicken and rice salad while I had the house crab soup and their new classic- the Boss Hog Burger. This was a large burger that included a beef patty, two sausages, several pieces of bacon and coated onion. Messy but delicious. Would order again sometime in the future once my allowable meat intake is caught up. A good worthwhile experience.

Our first visit to this restaurant as we don’t have one in our home town. Typical large restaurant franchise but no waiting lines and quickly assigned table. Staff extremely polite and friendly. We started with drinks, and had to return one, but was handled like pros. Crab and lobster appetizer was delicious. My wife had chicken parmigiana and found it to be dry stating barely any tomato sauce. She would not order again. My NY steak was cooked to medium rare to perfection. Veggies and mash potatoes yummy yummy. No room for desert. Server bringing ketchup to table confusing but we appreciated her efforts!!

I have not been to Jack Astor's for about a year.  We were promptly greeted and seated by friendly and welcoming staff.  I ordered the Texas roadkill sandwich and the G.F. ordered the classic burger.  We both ordered a caeser salad to start with. <br/>The caesar salad came out promptly and was good.  By the time we had finished the salad our mains had come.<br/>I don't remember the Texas roadkill sandwich coming on a burger bun previous times I have ordered it.  The portion of chicken on the sandwich was also kind of small.  It was cooked right and tasted pretty good.<br/>The burger is what one would expect.  It had really nice grill marks on the patty.<br/>The prices have seemed to increase a lot at Jack Astor's over the past few years.  A lot of the menu items are higher than other similar chain restaurants like Kelsey's, etc...  The bill was just over $50 with tip and we ordered no alcohol, 1 soft drink and a water.  At this price threshold our dinning dollar could have gone further elsewhere. <br/>The tip was well worth it as our waiter was excellent and all the staff that were working seemed happy, upbeat and ready to serve.

I had a seminar to conduct this afternoon in London ... I had lunch first at Jack Astor's.<br/><br/>I ordered what I always order at Jack Astor's ... Chicken Parmigiana. It was delicious! There was extra creamy cheese sauce on the pasta along with some tomato sauce in the corner ... great for dippy. There were also garlic chips sprinkled on it ... I'd never seen them before and not surprisingly they were really garlicy.<br/><br/>Chloe was my server and she took good care of me. She was efficient, fast and friendly ... she brought me a refill of Diet Coke without asking.

Greed takes over Jack Astors. What a fitting name for the mangers at Jack Astors. These idiots think they can charge the same for fountain drinks as they do beer and no one will notice. They think serving grotesquely over cooked burgers ranks them as one of the best. $47 for two dried out burgers and 2 diet cokes amazing. Well enjoy the money you ripped me off for, you'll never see another dime from me.

Above and Beyond Service!. I organized a work lunch for 15 people, and I was surprised to see how accommodating the staff was! Since we were all on a tight schedule and could take no more than an hour lunch, I pre-ordered to ensure we were out on time. When we got to the restaurant, we had a friendly lady greet us and take us to our seats. Upon noticing that we were a little cramped at the table prepared for us, they immediately set up a new one, no questions asked! As a side note, it was March break and the restaurant was packed with other guests! The food came out 5 minutes after we had come in, hot and fresh with no mix-ups, and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. What's more, the waitresses asked if they should give us our bills right away so we could pay and go. I've never finished any meal at a restaurant in 30 min, but somehow staff managed to do just that for 15 people!! I am very impressed and commend their excellent, organized, and extremely friendly service :)

Not so Gluten Free Friendly. Ate there twice, both times I was promised my food would be Gluten Free, and both times I was violently ill because there was obviously Gluten in the food. Horrible horrible place that doesn't take allergies and the health concerns that come with them seriously. (Also made me pay for my entire meal both times.)

Crap sevice, Crap food!!!. Came a little past the dinner hour and were asked to wait for our table while the restaurant was over half empty- then we were seated at a table that had been sitting empty and clean the entire time we waited! We got our meals and were disgusted by the food- never asked how we were doing or if we needed anything, and no one seems to give a crap about it either. Not ever going back.

Are you serious???. I like Jack Astor's! My kids and wife like it here too! PLEASE stop serving up your disgusting creations on us customers...seriously!<br/><br/>I was there a month or so ago and had some burger on a special menu. There were different things such as pulled pork on it etc.. I ordered one. <br/><br/>I was completely disgusted by what I saw, and what I tried to eat (Tried)....they used some sort of "cheese whiz"/processed cheese on these burgers, I couldn't believe it. "American Cheese"...isn't that just the biggest load of crap you've ever heard or seen? Call it what it is or what you are..."Cheap ass cheese"...pay the extra $0.11....and get the real stuff!!! <br/><br/>Why would you even offer this to your customers?<br/>Do you really think this burger tastes better with the crap cheese on it?<br/>Do you really think that a burger with a selling price in the teens isn't worth a real piece of cheese?<br/>Do you think that everything else you offer in your restaurant is better than everyone else (atmosphere, service, drinks etc.) and that the food doesn't matter?<br/><br/>You have a great place here. Even your downtown location with limited skilled servers is also a great place. Stop cutting corners on the simple things that average person wants. No one wants to pay $17 (roughly) for a cheese whiz burger...give us a little more credit that that!! If you want cheese whiz, go to "5 Guys"...that's their thing!!

One of my favorite chain restaurants! Best burger going and their caesar salad is tough to beat. For pasta lovers try the bow tie pasta with asiago breaded chicken you will not be disappointed. Service is always fast and friendly.

Jack Astors SUCKS!!. I would just like to say that i was not pleased with my experience with this restaurant. We had reservation for new years eve and when we arrived they did not even have our names down. The manager did not even try to find us a spot in the dinning room and just put us at the bar to eat our meal. She was rude and disrespectful. I would just like to say almost how RUDE and INAPPROPRIATE it was when the manager and others got up on top of the bar and started dancing! We had gift cards and the waitress wasn't smart enough to open to the gift card along the dotted line. The gift cards were declined and we had to pay for the meal out of our own pocket!! We will NEVER go back to a jack astors again due to this experience!!

This jackastors has better service than another jackastors in London !!!!! And better food!!! This is the only one I'll ever go back to, won't bother to go to the fanshawe park rd. On and I dislike the Richmond one. Planning on having my 20th birthday here . :) try the buffalo and blue cheese salad ( the cheese is strong so ask for it on the side even if you love blue cheese )

Bad service. My sister and I went there tonight for dinner. The service was horrible. The food was bland, I definitely won't be going back.

This past friday i had the worst customer service of my life at this place. To start it took a good 20 to 30 min to get even a drink when ordering from our so called waitress who over charged us and when i brought this to her attention she got her manager who called me a liar and a theif in her first sentance to me. Ill never go back to this reatraunt ever they disgust me

Expected more from nothing.. I went in here expecting good service and food, was I ever proven wrong. The server we had didn't seem to know what he was talking about, he didn't know anything about the menu. He brought over the wrong drinks and just didn't seem to care. This place is way to loud and childish to ever take a date here...sorry I would rather something where I cant write on the table. The food was horrible, half it came out cold , I could make better food at home

Atmosphere isn't for everyone. I've always enjoyed Jack Astor's if I've been with a group of friends and have wanted to have fun. If I want a more low-key lunch or dinner though, I skip it because the staff is outgoing and try to be "fun" but it can be annoying if that's now what you're in the mood for.<br/><br/>The crab & lobster dip is amazing! (I'd rather it with just the pita triangles though instead of half those and half nacho chips). The steak fajitas are great too!

WOW. This place has got it going on! I can come in with buddies, and enjoy its huge draught beer selection, sit in the bar, watch sports, and get great service. There's ton's of TV's. Every once in a while, every single tv turns to a music video that takes over the entire restaurant. It's pretty mind blowing after a couple pints. What a visual experience! I can also bring my girlfriend, sit in the restaurant side, or the bar, and be able to have an intimate dinner for 2. Its strange... but I love it! The food is top notch. Huge selection, yet a smaller menu. After trying a few items like Lamb, or Pizza, or Pad Thai, I can tell it's smaller, because everything is fresh. The server's really seem to enjoy their job's, know what they're doing, and are having fun. They give that beyond and above type service if you need it, but also know when to go with the relaxed service approach. I would recommend this place for anybody who want's to have casual or fun night out. It's a little bit louder, bigger, and busier that most restaurants around the area, but it's definitely the coolest!

Food is great, Staff are pleasant, and Atmosphere is welcoming.

Portion sizes inconsistent. I ordered the rigattoni with chicken. The portion size that I received was easily half of what my friend across the table received. We were out as a large group, so I didn't feel I could say anything and slow everyone down, but I really hope this is noticed and addressed.

Mediocre service or not (I usually sit at the bar and get decent service) I do LOVE the parmissian chicken bowties.

I had lunch at Jack Astor's before heading home to Toronto today. Since it's St. Patrick's Day today, there were decorations, the servers wore green and they were playing Celtic music along with the usual tunes, which was fun. I ordered what I always order at Jack Astor's ... Chicken Parmigiana. It was delicious! Ang was my server. She was friendly and took good care of me.

We had lunch at Jack Astor's today. Sammy greeted us at the door and opened it and then led us to our booth. She was extremely friendly while we were there and had a delightful English accent. Every restaurant should have a hostess like Sammy! That's what customer service is all about.
