LOVE RAJA! Finest Indian food I’ve had in Canada. They are masters of flavour and spice combinations. Beautiful quality, truly. And generous portions (you can’t tell from the picture, but this was a mountainous serving... lasted me 3 meals). This is my favourite dish: their saag. Many delicious, satisfying veg options. I order from Raja all the time and each time, I am so delighted and my taste buds happy. My whole family is hooked. Always served fresh and hot.
The Beat Indian food restaurant in London. My first time and will only go back there to eat Indian food. I had the buttermilk chicken and it's to die for 😉
SO good! I read a lot of negative reviews so I was skeptical, but this was the best Indian food I've ever had. Yes, the bar items were slightly restricted. Yes, the food took a little bit of time... but hardly worth slamming the place for considering the quality. Our waiter was also super friendly. Please don't let negative reviews dissuade from going... the food here is amazing.
Great service with friendly and attentive staff. We had several dishes and each was fantastic - great flavours and colors and everything I've come to expect and hope for I'm good Indian cuisine. The prices are reasonable for the amount and quality of the food and you can definitely expect to bring home some leftovers. I highly recommend this restaurant and hope to return soon!
We have been here many times and it is our go to place for authentic Indian cuisine! There are many wonderful dishes to try ranging from mild to very spicy depending on your tastes. It is served hot and everything is freshly prepared. The waitstaff is attentive and very knowledgeable. If you've never had Indian food and want to try it Raja is the place to go!
Serving good Indian meal at upscale atmosphere but affordable price.
Excellent food, no matter what you order! My boyfriend and I have been here a few times, the service and cuisine are both exceptional. Prepare to share the dishes you order amongst the people you go with; you'll want to try everything. The price is very reasonable considering the fabulous quality of the food.
Excellent food. We had beef and lamb and the meet was nice and tender. The spices were delicious. Service was straight forward and fast, not super artificially friendly. We didn't go there to make friends. Bathroom clean.
Nice Indian food with a great decor. Service is lovely and overall appearance is top notch. This place has very attentive wait-staff and delicious dishes. I wasn't too familiar with Indian food but the staff recommended dishes that go well together as well as appetizers.
Paneer Jalfrezi was pretty good. Not much of vegetarian options
I visited Raja this past week and increased my rating because even though I left a poor review they treated me well.
This past weekend, Skip the Dishes called me and said that the Raja Fine Indian Cuisine complained about my requests and told me that they will not be cooking my chicken biryani without cinnamon, as requested and instead will try to fish out the cinnamon before sending to me.
Everything should be about the customer experience and refusing to meet my requests; most importantly the cinnamon in the biryani has taken this 5 star review to a 3 star review. The only reason that this isn’t a one star review after these recent events is because the restaurant has sent me extra pieces of chicken in my Biryani and extra Chicken Tikka in the past, which I have offered to pay for but the fact you've sent them for free has always been greatly appreciated.
However, sending me an extra few pieces of chicken with my orders doesn’t excuse your refusal to remove cinnamon from my Chicken Biryani before cooking it, because as previous people have mentioned, it can feel like a rock. I have recommended your business to many people calling it the best Indian cuisine in London and even convincing family and friends to vote when the LF Press has the “Best of London” competition.
Anyone who orders in or goes to a restaurant expects to have their specifications met and if they are not met, they would be displeased with the entire situation as I am.
My typical biryani request is: Mild, no cinnamon please and thanks.
My typical tikka request is: Mild, any and all extra pieces are appreciated
My only extra request this past time was that the food be in the tin containers and I even told you that I would pay you extra for it.
Just before the packaging changed to plastic, then styrofoam, the quality went downhill a little bit which I just assumed was because you were busy. I’ve had no problem waiting a little bit extra for my food, I always get a notification stating that the kitchen needs more time to prepare and package my food.
As per your request to alter my rating because I didn’t pay for the extra pieces, I have done that already from a 1 star to a 2 star. Also, I have offered many times to pay extra but Skip the Dishes has never called me to request an adjustment on my card or ask if I’m paying cash for the extras.
Again, I have appreciated the extras as I’m sure you have appreciated my businesses over the last four years, all the referrals I’ve made, telling people to go to your establishment and yearly votes in the Best of London contest.
Honestly, I wouldn't have minded the cinnamon in it, if it didn't prove in the past to turn into rock hard pieces that hurt my teeth to chew on. This has been a complaint by other customers in your past reviews as well.
Stopped in to try the lunch menu with my son. Service was prompt and friendly. All lunch menu items come with a veggie of the day, side salad and naan. Very yummy, and filling. I’ll definitely be back to try some other dishes
