Review Prince Albert's Diner - London

Javier Pacheco
Good food and varied menu. Service could improve. The burrito was more of a wrap but it was tasty. The burger was good and a decent portion, fries were okay. The milkshake was bold and flavourful. The place is welcoming and street parking is free on Sundays.

Being new to London, I was relatively unaware of how good this place is. Went there to try it out once before it closed down. There was a lineup to go inside (Sunday lunch) but it was so worth it! The place has a nice vibe and the servers are friendly. Food was amazing and the portion sizes were big! We had a veggie thai burrito and a bonanza burger. To top it all, milkshakes were so filling and amazing! The prices were quite reasonable given the portion sizes. Might go back once more before it closes!

This is second time here and it did not fail to impress me. First time I came here, I had myself the Fat Albert (double patty, bacon, cheese) Burger and it was a fantastic (non frozen) burger. The portions are fair and the prices are great. Today, I took the risk trying their Wally Burger. The picture is in the attachment. And I was surprised that peanut butter and bacon go well together. This burger is what Prince Albert's Dinner is known for and I'm glad I tried it. A friend of mine tried their foot long with rice. He said he was very happy with his purchase and it got the spot. Definitely, a great ma and pa diner to visit.

Old school Diner type restaurant with great food at great prices. Always busy but the service is fast and friendly. This place was featured on a show called "You gotta eat here", and for good reason. The food is always well made, good quality and served fast. It seems like a small space but they turn the tables quickly without making people feel rushed. If there's a line up its definitely worth the wait.

A second visit and still good! Smoothies are too sweet and creamy for me but friends like it a lot.

Ambience A Friendly and casual atmosphere. The staff are not overbearing neither do they hover at all and you can have an uninterrupted conversation. The Staff always smile and are very friendly. Food and Drink I ordered 1. A Wally Burger + side upgrade to Caesar salad - Love the concept, the portion size was too small for me. The size of the burger was a size small for me. The seasoning and taste of the meat was good not great. 2. Strawberry-banana milkshake - Good balance of strawberry and banana, not too heavy and just the right amount. 3. A Green tea - Served with a green tea bag in a pot. And obviously hot water refills are free. Cost (4 out of 5) A bit above average for the quantity and quality but nonetheless an enjoyable experience. A Wally Burger + side upgrade to Caesar salad + Strawberry-banana milkshake + a green tea = around $25 What is it good for One on one casual meetings or a group of 4 people. Seating would be comfortable enough for 4 people.

After a night out on the row, this is the spot to go. Open late for all your drunk munchies, the food here is good and there’s a lot to pick from. Definitely a London staple for late night food. Garlic chicken burrito never disappoints 💯

Ordered a poutine from here and it was absolutely delicious, service was very kind and quick even though they seemed quite busy. Looking forward to coming back! Order: Poutine well done, extra gravy.

It's like a time machine. Stepping through the doors, you get taken back a few decades. It's too bad the place is so small, as it can fill up quickly and often. The food here is good, typical diner fare. The main event here is by far the milkshakes. A must do here!

Great family run dinner good dinner food with character and a diverse menus. hamburgers, Burrito, classics like real Turkey clubs, Liver and Onions homemade milk shakes that are really just great. Prices are fair open often and open late most nights until 3am. A staple in downtown London
Ivy L
There is a public parking lot right behind the restaurant. The price is fair and the portion is huge and love the fries! The only con would be debit and cash only.

Amazing food, atmosphere and service!! Going miss this amazing London landmark! Thank you 25 amazing years!

Really cool retro spot! Quick and friendly service. Their milkshakes are absolutely amazing and one is enough for two to share!

Can’t say anything bad. Food was decent. Place was clean. And people are friendly

Lovely diner vibe, excellent food at good prices. (This reviewer starts at 3 stars and goes up or down accordingly.)

I got a pumpkin spice milkshake and it was amazing. This is the first time I went into a diner and felt that the price of a milkshake was worth it. They give you a milkshake cup and the cup that they used to mix it, you get like three milkshakes for the price most places charge for one! Food/service was great too and their menu is big. Will definitely return for more :)

Amazing place with good vibe and tasty food in affordable price ❤

I LOVE Prince Alberts. Their dogs are so good! I've had a few more things from this place, which are all delicious, but I am here for the shake. The milkshakes really do bring all the boys to the yard! After a night out we always go here for some mid night food. Price is slightly high IMO, but I'll do anything for that milkshake at this point. The dogs are slightly on the small side, but other stuff has decent portions.

Absolutley LOVE the PAD. Been coming here for thebpast 20 years and will continuento do so!! Very friendly staff, amazing food at great prices! Keep up the good work guys

Hands down one of the finest dining experiences in London! A quaint little diner in Richmond street that we've been longing to pay a visit to, and when we did, we had an unforgettable experience. First off, the service was pleasant and fast. We kinda planned what to order beforehand, so we straightaway placed it.
Coming to the food, we ordered
Chipotle Burrito: 5/5- Delicious, the wrap was fresh and the chicken yummy.
Veggie Perogies: 4/5- I never had perogies before, so wanted to give them a try and they were good.
Cheese Grilled Sandwich: 5/5- simple and perfect.
We took fries and rice for sides along with the main dishes and the fries were fantastic.
Chocolate and Peanut Butter Milkshake (this place is famed for its milkshakes): Couldn't get enough of them. Insanely thick and perfect.
Red wine was good.
Couldn't try their peanut Butter Wally burger as we're completely satiated by that time. Can't wait to go back and try that one!

This is a charming diner. Nice decor. Good diner food with daily specials. Milkshakes are a must. The food wont be on a diet plan but itvwill be delicious going in!

This is a great go-to diner when in London. Delicious breakfast menu options, and lots of good burger choices for lunch and dinner. We’ve eaten here many times but I still have never ventured for anything other than a new burger choice. Classic burgers, hot pepper burgers, peanut butter on a burger, all great. Milkshakes are incredible too (and are well known to locals) and they also have limited bottled beer options. Staff have always been friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

It's hard to get an actual good 'Diner-style' burger these days, but Prince Albert's delivers! Their burgers look like thin, classic, 'smash burgers' and they have plenty of flavour as you'd expect.
Of course, this place is famous for their peanut butter burger, which tastes good, but which I found to be a bit heavy.
Fair prices, classic decor, and friendly staff.

I have no clue how this diner ended up on You Gotta Eat Here. The food is not good at all. I ordered their fish sandwich special and was expecting a battered fish on a bun. However, the fish was pretty much the size and shape of a fish stick. Therefore we are sure it was a fish stick sandwich. I paid an extra $2.50 for the Greek salad and it was pretty much a plain salad drenched in kraft greek dressing with some feta cheese. My husband ordered the chili and was not impressed. What bites was this restaurant had great reviews and we really do not get why. We were in London for a daytrip and really wished we went to Moxie's instead.

Tried this out for the first time this weekend and was very favourably impressed. The pub is down a quiet street just opposite the canal (though without a view of it). The tap selection is excellent, with a few beers I had never heard of before and an old favourite, rarely seen in London, the excellent Castle Rock (Nottingham) Harvest Pale, which might the quintessential summer ale--I wouldn't know, since I tend to drink it all the year round.

The space has excellent "corner karma" and is very light and airy inside, with a combination of large windows, comfortable couches, and the typical pub stools and tables.
Weyward_j
Went to Prince Al's for dinner and decided to try something new- the Monte Cristo sandwich. Meh. I was frustrated with myself since there are SO MANY great things on the menu (burgers, Wally burger, perogies, etc.). Definitely hitting this place again- but will be smart and not re-order the Monte Cristo.
Fine Diner
A diner is defined as a railroad car or one shaped like a railroad car for dining. Prince Albert is an excellent example of this definition. Situated in a now crowded restaurant area in downtown London this quaint diner has been around for over 45 years and is a busy student hangout when school is in session. Locals know the best time to go here is the summer. It has appeared twice on a popular national food show and usually ranks in the top 10 in London on all the food sites.
The interior is clean and the look both in the seats and on the walls is very retro.
It was about 2/3 full when we arrived and we had menus and our orders taken within 15 minutes. There are so many choices on the menus that a little extra time is appreciated. I had their famous Wally Burger which is a burger with onions and lettuce slathered with peanut butter. Absolutely fabulous! Also had their great fresh cut fries and topped it off with one of their famous milk shakes. You owe it to yourself to have a shake! Partner had liver and bacon and house salad with house dressing accompanied with fresh cut fries. She gave a thumbs up to her entire meal. This place has it all including fair prices. Is it the best in London? There are so many sub categories of good eating places in this city I am unsure you can pick one as overall best. But, this is definitely the best diner in the entire London area. Try it you'll like it!

Been here a few times with colleagues. Had the burritos, perogies, burger, fries and rice. Sides are well seasoned. Mains aren't big but decent sized. Taste is good, service is good. Overall, decent place where its nice to go eat.

Went into London for the weekend, and how could I not visit dear old Prince Alby's, which holds a special place in my heart? Brought me back to my undergrad days as a Western student — those late-night fries and milkshakes will never be forgotten. You get good greasy diner food here, and the staff and atmosphere transport you back to another era. I hope they stay in business for years to come!
Fluffy
Greasy bar food. Cheap and big portion. Service is delightful. Standard dinner food, nothing original, nothing to recommend. At least the food is some what fresh because this venue is pretty busy all the time. Decor is cute.
M
Pretty good food, although I've tried some busts there - chicken souvlaki is not my favorite at all, but their burgers are good. Overall the place has a nice atmosphere and decent food, fairly priced.
Scott Kinoshita
Found out about the Wally Burger from "You Gotta Eat Here" and I never thought peanut butter would work so beautifully on a burger but it does! Yes, even with the onions and tomato. Actually peanut butter works REALLY well with the onions, because I sampled a PB & Onion piece that fell off my burger and it shocked me that even that little morsel was so good!

I love the atmosphere too - if you love diners, then it's really a great place to eat!
Alisha Ding
I admit, it's not unheard of to put peanut butter on a burger, but the peanut butter here is something special. When you order the Wally Burger you have to prepare yourself for a sensual experience (and be sure not to get any toppings with it, you don't want to corrupt that pure PB taste). It comes hot, fast, and dripping with ooey-gooey pb goodness which may or may not cause a foodgasm. And when that hot mess gets all over your fries, oh man. I'm serious, their fries with melted peanut butter was SO DAMN GOOD I ordered a plateful of it (see photo for evidence). It was the single best thing I've eaten all month and I'm pretty sure they'll put it on the menu (without giving me credit but that's kay, I'll settle for a lifetime's supply of PB fries). Long story short: I was not drunk when I invented this so you must order their fries with melted peanut butter on top for an unforgettable experience!

It's 2:40 a.m.-ish, you just heard your favourite Semisonic song which told you to "gather up your jackets and move into the exits" and informed you "you don't have to go home but you can't stay here." You have decided to take this advice, home, not yet, but where??? You start walking North (or possibly south depending on where you decided to wet you whistle earlier) down Richmond Street and you see a line starting to form that reminds you of 3 hours ago when the bar you were at was trying to create the illusion that they were busy and the wait must be worth it. This time it is!
Stephanie Lau
Exactly what you would expect from a great diner! Quick service, cash only. Not too greasy, but just enough to be tasty. Portions are humongous. Would recommend the poutine, perogies and milkshakes!
Gristle
This place was alright. Medium sized restaurant with some open space, but doesn't comfortably seat groups more than 4. The service was pretty quick, didn't wait more than 15 minutes for our meals to arrive. I got the souvlaki plate which came with a fairly generous portion of rice and salad. The rice was excellent and the salad was good, too with lots of feta. The sandwich, however was just meh. The bread wasn't toasted and the excessive amount of tzatziki on the sandwich wasn't very flavourful, and just tasted like plain greek yogurt. The chicken, while being delicious and perfectly cooked, there were only a few pieces inside. I found myself having to search for the chicken in my sandwich which was drowning in the greek yogurt.

Food is always what I expect and it's always quick. One of my friends is notorious for falling asleep in here after our trip to the bar. We always seem to have the same lady serving us and she must see worse because it doesn't faze her.

Must try: burger with egg and peanut butter. Thank me later.

Unimpressed. Wow lots of good reviews.Certainly not my opinion.Ordered a mushroom swiss burger that was a lot smaller in person that on the "Gotta eat here" show,it was just ok but not worth 10$.Passed on the fries as I saw them coming out and they were dark brown, either old grease or double dropped,no thanks.Noticed they made milkshakes for 5 $ figured they must be good, wrong again.Honestly better vanilla milkshakes at McDonalds for half the price. Not sure where the good reviews came from probably friends or employees.Waste of 15$ for a burger and milkshake. Not to mention the condition of the place was horrible.Worst of all the place was busy but I did notice a lot of people looking around waiting for food or service and only 1 guy taking all orders and serving all tables. Don't waste your money.

Love it. Love the food and service is pretty good two. Best milkshakes in London. Definitely worth checking it out

Good Food, Confederate Flag?. While eating at Prince Al's there was lots of retro decor hanging around the dinning area. Some pieces behind the cash had the Confederate Flag on it (used by the KKK). It was for 'Dukes of Hazard' but I felt that this was inappropriate and resulted in an uncomfortable experience when accompanied by the unfriendly staff.
I would highly suggest that they remove those pieces to create a more welcoming environment. Other than that the food was actually pretty good especially for the prices.

Great food terrible service.. The food here is amazing but the customer service has to count for the business here. It's terrible at this place. Tall guy with tattoos is the worst male server I've ever encountered. He never asked if my food was okay, if I needed anymore water and when I tried to get his attention by saying " excuse me" he completely ignored and walked by. Worst service I've ever gotten. Great food tho.

Prince Al's. Their fries are definitely my favorite and their burgers are so delicious. Its a bit pricey, so I only go on occasion as I am a student but its one of my favorite diners. Its very relaxed and I love the 50's/60's design.

Quintessential diner food. Very good prices. I always get peirogies and salad, husband likes the burgers and poutine. My daughters love the huge milkshakes. Been many times, never been disappointed. Good service, relaxed atmosphere. Can be super busy once the students are back, so I usually look in the window before I bother findings a place to park. Cash only but has an ATM in the restuarant.

Don't go here for breakfast!. This diner does not serve all day breakfast. It isn't open early on weekends (opens at 10 am) and then promptly stops serving breakfast at noon. Ridiculous on a weekend when you are a diner. I tried to come with my father at 9 am on a Sunday once and was shocked to find it not open yet and then tried to go for brunch at 2 today and they would not serve me breakfast foods. Their dinner menu is alright, but overpriced for what it is. I would go here again for dinner but have decided to swear this place off for breakfast because I am always so disappointed! My quest for a true 'Diner' in London continues...

Best diner food in london. Will always be one of my favourites. The wally burger is a must try! I reccommend just pickles. Also they have very good milk shakes made with an antique machine. Only the best. Ps, the music is always fantastic

Eh.. I'm very passionate about cooking, and I truly don't understand why this place is so hyped. I often love "greasy spoon" places, but I just don't like it. It's a typical diner and I haven't had anything standout from here. I've tried the crispy chicken sandwich (boring), garlic burrito (bland/dry), fries (too soft for me), rice (bland), perogies (deep fried, which is weird for me because I like traditional boiled ones, but I'd deal with it if they weren't bland)...

I will say that their milkshakes are great, customizable, and generous. It's definitely got a cool diner environment, but I'm just not into it--it's not that flavourful. It'll certainly fill you up for a decent price if you're out late downtown, though. If you like typical diner food and cool environments, you'll love it. Service is also good.

I've never had their burgers, which are homemade and supposedly very popular. I know quite a few people who love this restaurant, but I should note none of them can really cook and they're not very picky. Good, satisfying place for the bar crowd, but avoid this if you're looking for a quality meal.
Michelle
Good but I know it could be better. Gunna say after going there a few times.. the last was not as good as the first few... food was good.. definitely a great diner feel but the service was lacking. . Will go again and hope for that little bit more...
Jessica DeWitt
Most Popular in London? Really?. I had the garlic chicken burrito with rice. Chicken was dry and tasteless (but still gave me garlic breath somehow), the rice was dry and tasteless. What they call a burrito is really a wrap. An unimpressive wrap. It was also quite dirty, I get that it is a "greasy spoon," but greasy spoons have to have good food to make the greasiness okay. Another bleh. Come on Ontario, you're letting me down.
Jonathanwstephens
Great!. Chicken Thai burrito is one of my favourite things in the world
Pinkygirl
To stephens comment. Let me start off by saying if you want to write a review please know what your talking about... first off restaurants that have a green in the window that means its a pass.. Second I go to the diner often and I usually get the chicken Greek salads best in the city the actually use real chicken breast.. third you cant blame anyone about how your lettuce comes when its not in season and even if you go to the grocery store the lettuce is still the same.. and I don't think someone will serve rotten lettuce
Karla
This place is DISGUSTING! I remember going as a kid and it was great. The service is the worst I've ever received. Since when did freak waitresses become above everyone else in this world? Complete jerks to all customers. The food tastes freezer burnt. It looks and feels so dirty. So sad to say I will NEVER go back after how I remember it as a kid. Wish The Works was open as late as this place. Prince Al's, you SUCK! And are DISGUSTING!
Alexia.29
Disgusting. Absolutely disgusted with the service i received while at Prince Alberts. Not only was the staff very rude, but the owner of the restaurant screamed at a member of my party, which is inexcusable in the restaurant industry. THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT! NEVER ever going there ever again. Probably the worst service i've ever received at a restaurant not only in london but even in toronto. Rather go to mcdonalds next time.

Disgusted.
Edward Truong
In reply to Kevin's review. I am sure you love the place, but a friendly urban reminder:
you gave it a thumbs down instead...:(
Mark
Peanut Butter Burger. DO IT YOU WILL BE SURPRISED

That is all.
S
Good for late night. Because it is on Richmond, it is open late, which can be especially good when you want food that is not part of a bar. It's all good and reasonable. Popular with the university crowd.

Great food, bad management.. As a long time Londoner, I've always loved Prince Al's. Until I encountered the scary and mean manager/owner lady. Completely rude and unwelcoming. My boyfriend and I walked into the place on a week night - only 1 other party was there. So naturally, we sat down at a booth. She asked us to move because "booths were reserved for parties of 3 or more" - but there was no one in the place! She was extremely rude. The servers are great, the food is incredible, but I think management is a little too arrogant about their success to treat customers kindly.
Lisa Steele-Hillier
Always a good standby. Prince Al's is a good "greasy spoon". I love the loaded pierogies and fries and the shakes are awesome! Don't expect low cal or healthy here...definitely a guilty pleasure!! Always had a good experience and will return-again and again. Only inconvenience is NO debit. Make sure you stop at the bank or you'll be paying a premium at the private ATM.
Spooky
Love it. Prince Alberts is a great little diner with good cheap food. its rather busy full of the bar crowd but its worth the visit. I've tried a lot of the stuff on the menu and love all of it. My fav is the wally burger however i get extra bacon and pb and no toppings. The milkshakes are amazing and the staff is great.. Alot of goodlooking men with tattoos. The GCB is also tasty.. Love their fries and perogies.
John
Best place in London. Out of all the fancy restaurants, plain ole same ole and wanna be BBQ joints. You can't get a better place for creativity and atmosphere then this place.
Kevin
The Mystic of Prince Al. Let me toss in my 2 pence. By day this humble corner establisment serves as a downtown diner, by night it becomes a vital munching ground for heavily "partied" university students. My excursions to Prince Al's have always been after 1am. The "Wally" is mind blowing-and not for the faint of heart! To prevent a hangover a peanut butter chocolate shake paired with perogies covered in bacon, chili and sour cream is exactly what any knowing doctor would recommend. It is a Diner, period! And a damn good one. Don't expect foodie food. That's for the likes of the Black Trumpet or The Only. Drop 15 bucks and order that last beer that you probably shouldn't. Repeat the following week!
Shawn
Lunch. Fast, good prices and Delicious!!! I can't wait to go back and try something else!
Divinosha
Go...Just Go. Bring cash and go. Try one of their burgers - their meat has an excellent, unique flavour.
Fkniflee
Snubbed by an older blonde employee or owner who was inconvenienced by a customer. Young waitress was very nice.
OMnoM
Not sure why??. Really not sure why this is one of the top rated restaurants in the city, worth a visit for sure.. but not on a regualr basis.
I also think it was a tad misrepresented on television, but oh well.. Try out the GCB (garlic chicken burrito) and the cheese fries after a bar night are divine. Ecleptic mix of diner food but nothing really over the top.. Milkshakes however are top shelf.
gets a little busy inside late nights, but its part of the experience.
also fairly inexpensive as well.
Mariam
Wouldn't return. I called in an order for a lunch takeout last year. I ordered a milk shake and perogies as I heard that these perogies were amazing. When I went to pick up my order at the time I requested it to be ready at and pay for it ($18 approx- shockingly expensive), they advised me that they didn't take VISA. I don't know many restaurants that don't accept VISA when such a simple meal costs so much money. I told the boy who took my order that he should have told me that on the phone because I had no cash. He just shrugged and pointed to an inhouse ATM. It charged $2 or $3 dollars to take money out and knowing that my bank would as well, I decided that $22 was going to be far too much to spend on some perogies and a milk shake. I ended up finding US cash in my purse and paid with that I think. When i went to take a sip of the milk shake, I saw that it was half melted so they obviously made it far too early. The perogies were like the el cheapo variety that you buy frozen in No Frills. I thought they'd be special homemade ones at the price they were selling them.

What a colossal disappointment this place was. I'd never return.
Cari Jersey McIntyre
Love it - you must try the garlic chicken burrito - delicious - and a huge staple in the London foodscape
Lou
You DON'T Gotta Eat Here!!!!. I went to Prince Albert's Dinner because of the show "You gotta eat here". I made the 1 and half hour drive. To try the Famous WALLY Burger they featured on this show. Well I must say I was very VERY disappointed. It was nothing like what I saw on TV. the burger was half the size covered less than 3/4 of the bun it was thin and Dry very little bacon and just very underwhelming. I got the poutine as well. It was very poor attempt at poutine. Gravy seems as its from a pouch served on very little shredded cheese instead of chucks of cheese curds and some kind of homemade gravy. You can taste the lack of quality and lack of pride in preparation of their product. I strongly recommend you do not waste your money and go to this place. I felt that I had to write this because that place has gotten more business than it deserves because it was grossly misrepresented on that TV show and I had to say something.
Profcritic
Great eatery for late night!. I have been going to PA's for 20 years, and love it. Small place, with great food, and good service. Often very busy, but the staff are friendly and professional, even when they are smoked. Ends a great night out with great food every time! Highly recommend the milkshakes, perogies, gyros, and fries.
L
Best milkshakes in town. I've been to Prince Al's countless times. The food is always good (and inexpensive)- the milkshakes are second to none and most of the staff are very friendly. Shout out to the tallest male staff member (I should really know his name) who is always extremely friendly and does an awesome job overall. I would definitely recommend this place!
Colleen
Meh. The Decor is fun but having a history does not a great diner make. Too much inconvenience with a cash only attitude and paying for refils... do they WANT me back?
No thanks.
GrantN
Pay for refills?. I can never respect a place that makes me pay for refills on pop. I thought he was joking when I asked for a refill and was told I would have to pay. The price of syrup is next to nothing. They could give 20 refills and still make profit on the sale. Absolutely ridiculous. Also the "cash only but we have an ATM' is a joke. If you have the infrastructure for an ATM you have the infrastructure for debit. Will not be back.

#1 in London? Not in my opinion. I have been a fan of Prince Albert's and have enjoyed their food many times. However, on my last visit (and probably final), I was very disappointed. Fountain pop was flat - sent it back twice and when when it was still flat a third time, I did not drink it. I was not even offered water with my meal. The fries, which used to be the best in London, were dry and tasteless. The service was okay but nothing special. I don't think I will be eating in the restaurant again.
Candice
Meh. It was alright. Milkshake was pretty thin! Not bad, but not amazing.
LynnV
Cute Diner :) Great food!. The milkshakes are amazing and there's a lot of it!
Burgers are homemade and very tasty.
Service is good, price is good, environment is amazing.
Kirsten-Sarah
Fun!. I highly reccommend Price Als! Any time - brunch or after the bar food, it's always satisfying. As everyone else said - try the WALLY BURGER!! Don't pre-judge, just order, you'll love it! I think the chefs are all very friendly, but the cash/door staff could be a little more welcoming.
The FOOD GURU
Good food, a legendary Place to eat in London, you must try the peanut butter burger
Ally
SO DELICIOUS !!!!! they make the best perogies and chocolate milkshakes! Would go here every day if I could!!! The waitress can be very rude thoug
Matthew
Classic Diner. Tasty food, affordable prices, and awesome music! 100% recommend.

Best London Eatery-EVER!. London's best place to eat is definately Prince Albert's! It has been around for a long time and cant see it closing up any time soon! Its the best place to go for breakfast/lunch/dinner! My mother has been going there since she was a UWO student and still loves to go there for there greek fries, zeus burger, and a delicious shakes! Even my grandfather can enjoy their breakfast and environment, and my snotty nose little cousins eyes sparkle when looking around at all the old posters, coke signs, a shiny vinyl seats- and its cheap (in price)!
Amy
Prince Albert. This place has excellent food in a diner environment. It's clean, great prices and great variety. The milkshakes are huge and delicious. My hubby loves the banana and I am partial to chocolate. The chicken burrito was very tasty and the gyro in pita was delicious. Servings are not huge so you don't waste which I love. Service is friendly and fast. You should check this place out for sure.
Lockhart
I liked the atmosphere, but the breakfast wasn't anything special. I'll try the lunch menu next time.
Handsome Mike
Love the Diner!. I usually order the famous "GCB" or Garlic Chicken Burrito. The staff is great, there is always good music playing. If you're there for lunch or grabbing some 2:30am after bar grub, you will not be let down. Everything is fresh, and made in-house. Salsa, burgers, fries, chicken, chilli.
Darcie
I LOVE THIS PLACE!. I absolutely LOVE prince al's diner! I go there atleast a few times a week and it never gets old. The service is always fantastic no matter how busy it is. No matter what you get on the menu it's always delicious and the price is defiantly right!
Lb
It's gross and very greasy. The fries are overcooked to a dark brown. The place is always dirty and grubby looking. I see them wipe the counter with towels then throw them in a pile on the back counter only to reuse them again. The chocolate milkshake is awesome.
Guttila
Great diner. We are always looking for a place to eat out with reasonable rates and good service. The place fit the description. The service was excellent. Better than most expensive restuarants I have eaten at recently.
The meals were delicious. I will certainly return again.

Wonderful. Really, really enjoy it here - cute decor, a little small but it's all part of the restaurant.
The service is SPECTACULAR, and food is amazing
The prices are average, not too bad.
It's cash only though - the only thing I didn't like.
It's open late, so great greasy food for after the bar!
I would definitely recommend.

Amazing!. I am always so impressed by the amount of patience that the Prince Al's staff have. Even on a Saturday night when the bars get out, the staff are still super efficient and always pleasant. I am in love with the peggie perogies with a side of greak salad! Day or night, Prince Al's is an absolute favorite of mine!

Best of ALL TIME. Prince Al's is the best restaurant in London. The food is amazing and the service is always great. I've never waited longer than 15 minutes for a meal, which is amazing. Plus the prices are awesome. It is my number one fave place to eat. I highly recommend well...EVERYTHING!

Greasy but good.. One of the greasiest diners I have ever been to but also one of the best. If your up for trying new things go for the Wally burger, its just one of thoset things that you have to try at least once. Wash it down with a milkshake and your in for a good night

I'm not too sure about this place..... The taste is okay, but they are just too greasy that even though i wasn't even a half way full, I couldn't finish my meal..
And the milkshakes are also okay but too sweet that made me nauseated...
I wouldn't go here again unless they start make the food with less fat and sugar..

Best diner food downtown. Great and cheap, I wish they opened earlier.

Great diner located right in the heart of the Richmond row, the decor, tables, chairs and booths are like stepping back into a 50's diner. When you walk in you take your seat (or order for take-out) and the "waiter" lol came right away to hand us the menus and take out drink orders. A couple mins later he returned and promptly took the food orders. The food was prepared to order fresh and delishious and came out very fast actually, all 3 meals came out at the same time and in no longer than 10 mins even though they were pretty busy, which they usually are whether you there at 2pm or 2am. But none the less the food tasted great and big portions as well. All in all great place to stop in for a quick bite after the bars or anytime of day while browsing beautiful downtown London. And great prices too, nothing is over $10.

The garlic chicken burrito is legendary. Good at 6:00 pm, even better at 2:00 am.

Best place for post-bar food! The line gets pretty long around last call. Great food and the kitchen staff is usually rocking some good music over the speakers.
