Review Earl's - London

Melanie Greenwood
We came for my brother’s birthday and had an amazing experience at this location! The manager, Dan, was very knowledgeable about allergens (I am celiac) and very accommodating & friendly. Thank you for a wonderful evening! The food was great and the staff were lovely. Gluten free pizza never tasted better !!!

Great food, friendly servers, quick service, I just hate how loud it is in there! I got the Spring Greens and Grains salad with salmon and loved it! My husband got the bacon cheeseburger with fries and he enjoyed it and my mom got the chicken Alfredo with garlic bread and also enjoyed it! We had creme brule for dessert and it was really good!

Shared a monumental and heartfelt meal with a close friend. Our server Rick and manager Branden were so accommodating, thoughtful and attentive. They went above and beyond to make sure the experience was perfect. The food was incredible. My first time trying the Blacked Cajun Chicken dinner and Pumpkin Pie for dessert. We really appreciated a special Prosecco toast. One of London’s best Caesars, hands down. Great wine. Thank you so much - we look forward to returning every October.

Pleasant dining area, 3 choices, patio, dining and social. The food menu did not have pictures so it was for your imagination to decide what sounded enticing. I picked the Cajun Chicken dish, and my Fiance chose Bankok bowl. We were pleased with the look of the food, and enthralled by the tastes!! The staff were very friendly, from the host to server and the waitress. There was only a few minute wait between ordering, eating and clearing plates where we were unattended but overall exceptional work. Would highly recommend, although with a group who would split costs to make it easier on leaving.

Food tastes great and came promptly. All the servers were nice and welcoming. The only negative I would say is the bench we say on was very high up. I’m six feet tall and had a little trouble getting up easily.

My mother’s birthday was today, so we celebrated at Earls Kitchen + Bar. After getting comfortable in our booth, we ordered the Warm Spinach + Three Cheese Dip. This came with fresh focaccia and a green dip with garlic and chives. For my main, I had the Ribeye + Truffle Butter, which came with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. The Ribeye was tender and flavourful, but the truffle butter was the cherry on top. Furthermore, the garlic mashed potatoes were so fantastic that I finished them even before the Ribeye. Still hungry and having lots of room left, I indulged in two desserts: the Caramelized Vanilla Cheesecake and Sticky Toffee Chocolate Pudding. I unexpectedly tasted a hint of lemon in the cheesecake, but I still enjoyed. As for the other dessert, the pudding itself tasted like a rich, chocolatey cake. It also had ice cream and was drizzled in chocolate and toffee/caramel syrup. Both desserts came with an almond florentine (cookie) and berries. The atmosphere in Earls is incredible. Two gentlemen in suits greeted us at the door. And depending on where you sit, you get to see the line cooks flambé. Not to mention, they gifted my mom two birthday cards! Each were handwritten. Earls was the perfect spot for our special occasion. The food, the ambience, the service— Earls has it all.

The ambiance is cool, I think they have seating sections for whatever time you come in. Don’t recall hearing any music or maybe it just wasn’t loud, meal was tasty and the wait staff that attended to us was real sweet, however they don’t sing for celebrants which was a let down as we went for a birthday party, all in all, it’s a cool place to go

It's hard to find a restaurant with all three categories; Food, Service, Atmosphere exhibiting high standards... however, this Earls in London applies. Service was excellent. Everyone is friendly and even more than one of the staff members will come to your table to make sure your needs are met. The food is delicious. I have been there both for brunch and their main menu. Although pricey, it is worth it for the quality of the dishes. I enjoyed tasting the Crab Benedict. The atmosphere is comfortable. There's good lighting. I personally like the modern industrial style of the interior design.

Started worrisome, ended great. Came for a Saturday night dinner. Long weekend so it wasn't busy. Booth inside. Very nice server. Ordered an Old Fashioned. I've had great ones and ok ones but this one was undrinkable. First time I sent one back. Switche to a vodka soda. For the app, we ordered a crab cake. ($24!). Very great texture and flavour. I ordered the blackened chicken and my partner ordered the steak frites. Chicken was cooked perfectly and juicy. Steak was cooked perfectly. Overall, a good dining experience.

We went to Earls for a 50th birthday for 10 people + 3 last minute We all loved the place, the service was 5 stars, everything was flowing. Big thanks to the servers. The food: everyone was happy with what they ordered…. Layers of flavours in each bite, I will go again and again to try everything in their menu….So delicious. Kudos to the chef… We also talked to the manager in the planning process and very professional and friendly… we do recommend this place for any event. We had a good time. Earls will become our no.1 place to celebrate. Ohhh and the birthday card was a fine gesture from Earls..

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. It was recommended by a friend that lives in the area. Our waitress, Madi was phenomenal! The food and drinks (margaritas) were absolutely delicious. A great atmosphere, cozy booth in the patio made the perfect date night.

We sat in a booth, which was comfy and lovely, but we were surrounded by very loud talkers, and this was lunch. We wanted chicken and waffles and tacos but the menu had changed. We ordered the pulled chicken club sandwich, which was really delicious. I was disappointed that the menu had changed so much, but it really was a great sandwich. The waitress was kind and attentive. She even split one if the meals into two plates for us!

Fabulous date night spot. The service we had last night was amazing & attentive. May & I believe Tatum? was her name were so fabulous to us & answered all of our questions. The food was incredible. The spinach dip was so delicious & I love the bread that it is served with! For the main I went with they truffle tortellini which was also a hit. It was creamy and the noodles were cooked just perfectly!

It does get a little loud in there with those high ceilings. But the food is always amazing.

I recently had my birthday dinner at Earls restaurant and I highly recommend!! From the hostesses, waitresses, and managers, everyone was extremely hospitable, very welcoming, and delivered excellent and efficient service! I chose this restaurant because the atmosphere and food is absolutely amazing and the vibes are always what you hope for. I’ve been several times and will continue to enjoy the experience every time. I’m terrible at remembering names so I apologize for that, but the waitress and manager personally greeted my friends and I, were very observant, and even had a cute little birthday card for me. Way to make a girl feel extra special! Very accommodating and lovely staff. Definitely recommend trying out Earls!

Great service, the food so good and the Margaritas on point, definitely a good place to enjoy your summer evening

Very upbeat and friendly atmosphere . Menu had a great variety of choices . I happened to order a meal that was a bit spicy they had no trouble taking it off my bill and we're concerned with my satisfaction . Truly a great place to eat and gather .

My friend and I love this restaurant for late night drinks and their “happy hour” menu (9pm-close). We both work late in the evening and we find this is a great option when we are a bit later but still want a classy meal and great food! Service is always friendly and prompt and we just love the swordfish tacos! A must visit!

All I can say is the server makes the dining. Brianna was one of the best servers we have EVER had. She was welcoming and ready to answer all the questions we had. We didn't wait for anything. Out drinks were full and she was back at the table in great time to make sure we were good. Food was great, so much flavour and enjoyed every bite. We will be back.

Earls across Canada has a good standard of consistency. Their food never disappoints. Ordered the Cajun cheddar sandwich and the Hunan Kung Pao with prawns. Everything was seasoned nicely and tasted good. Service was quick and friendly. I really liked the layout of this location.

My steak was cooked nicely, service was friendly.

Salty salty salty salty salty. Same strategy as the moxies but a bit more expensive. I get it you have to sell the drinks but even the potato is so salty it ruins it. Steak is nice but too much season. Waitress wears so little i find it funny. It really is a bar with the excuse of a restaurant lol.

Food is ALWAYS great. The bourbon steak is out of this world. it can get a little noisy as the dinning room is not huge however it is probably the 'best bang for the buck' within 5 kilometres of Earls. better than Jack Astors/Keg/ Milestones/etc.
Fine Diner
Went there today. Wife had fish tacos and I had the Cajun cheese chicken sandwich. Meal was excellent as well as service. Only negative is its a little pricey. Would definitely return.

I seriously used to like this restaurant , maybe they need to not focus on male clients who knows but as a table of women we received terrible service waited just to be offered water or a menu were told it was seat yourself by the hostess , immediately after she walked 2 men to a table right beside us , then after 2 more tables had been seated by u and got menus and ordered we were offered water and a menu , waitress hugging random men in groups totally ignoring customers ..... Half an hour is a long time to have ur order taken in and empty restaurant

Appalling! Food was mediocre, service was lousy. Ordered soup from appetizer menu and a steak. Steak came out first, asked where my soup was. Waiter said oh I'll go get it. Suggested he take my entree with him. Another waiter them came over and tries to convince me lots of people order their appetizer with their entree and want them at same time. I will never be going back to this high prices ripoff
Evandude5899
Every earls I have been to has been great. Not this one, dirty water glasses holding warm water and no napkins with our food. The service was average and the food was not nearly as good as I remember earls food being.
T_hg
Disappointed. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice however I found the food to be bland and a bit over price for the quality. I prefer the Keg.

Our meal. I had dinner today at your restaurant , which I enjoyed but when we ask the server for bread we were told we would have to pay, I was shock. I thought what the meal cost us we should have received bread..... I would certainly would think twice before I came back.

I love this place!. I went to Earl's soon after it opened, and honestly I absolutely love it. We had a fairly large reservation so we waited at the entrance for our group to arrive, and during this wait we were given 3 different appetizers to taste! They were all delicious, so we were excited to sit and order our meals.

Our waiter was really nice, we ordered many appetizers and he even recommended some that ended up being our favourite (the sushi! YUM). Our drinks were constantly full and we ordered a couple bottles of wine that we enjoyed our meals with. The food was delicious, and I love that you can customize almost every meal. If you don't like the sides it's suggested with you can almost definitely switch it up!

I will continue to eat at Earl's but I just wish that it was downtown! Other than that I love this restaurant for their fresh food, service, attention to detail and variety!

Owner. The food was good, service was terrible. Waitress disappeared, 2- tables came after us and we're served and finished eating before we ordered. Just horrible .

Ordered the curry chicken and it was great! It seems like the menu prices jump at a certain point, but you can still get a great affordable meal. Also agree with the previous bathroom comments, it's an experience

Great food and the most awesome bathroom on the planet....

Side show. If you want to get the earl's experience then you should walk into Moxie's, punch yourself in the groin, and then pull $50 out of your wallet and light it on fire.

The one time I went, I ordered a drink and then paid for it and left once I saw the menu and what everyone else was eating. My birthday dinner went from Earl's to Ben thanh takeout.

Boring, but Good Food... PARDON?. We made reservations for 6:30 on a Friday and we were excited about trying this place as we had heard good things. The inside reminded me a lot of Milestones and so did the menu. Nothing fantastic - just your basic burgers, steaks, pasta.
The fish tacos were great but who doesn't make good tacos now?
The starter bread with olive oil was beautiful -- house made, soft and warm, it really hit the spot.
Our waiter was perfect -- our drinks were always full and he was super friendly without being too much.
We ordered the 7oz steak, the Bronx Burger, and the California Salad. The Steak was perfect. Some say only The Keg can get steak right but I begged to differ -- this was a choice piece of meat cooked and seasoned just right!
The burger was a huge, overdone giant -- just too much going on with onion rings, a dried out egg bun, and a tiny patty -- slightly disappointing. The salad review was 2 thumbs up and I noted he dinner serving of salad was really generous.
Will we return? Nope. Why bother? It was just like Milestones ONLY WAY LOUDER!! Oh did I fail to mention that? If you are going here to have a nice chat think again -- go here if you don't want to hear a word your date is saying BECAUSE IT IS THAT LOUD. I go to sports bars that have better acoustics.
Oh well....

Excellent!. I heard so much about this restaurant from friends out west & it doesn't disappoint. London needs more casual upscale restaurants like this. A little modern for my taste but that's just me. Nice decor & atmosphere overall with a really nice hidden patio. Great service! Too much staff seriously!? Maybe that's because you're use to the understaffed restaurants here in Ontario due to the obscene high minimum wage. Everything I have ordered has been excellent. The sirloin steak is far better then a sirloin steak should be. They carry Rolling Rock & Kokanee, 2 beers hard to find in London plus a decent wine list. The desserts are excellent. Only 2 quibbles, not a fan of mashed potatoes with everything & I would like some bread. Expensive, yes but you pay for what you get & at least it's not like Tru where I paid $35 for 3 lamb chops! The manager was really nice. Definitely one of the best restaurants in London. And yes, you can take kids if they're not Honey Boo Boo. I know a lot of kids in Toronto who love arugula. Maybe yours needs to stop eating at Mickey Dees. And right on Jebediah!

We had a wonderful meal. The service was perfection! I highly recommend it!

Crazy overpriced and mediocre food. Jack Astor's quality but downtown fine dining prices.

This resturant is the best one in London. Fresh, made from scratch, amazing flavors and service there was nothing I could say that was bad about this place. My wife is one of those that gets cold everywhere, not at earl's. But not hot for me. The desert wow I usually can finish my desert cause it's too sweet but at earl's they have combinations where it just balance it all out. As I said nothing bad I could say. If your looking for a great place, try earl's.

Amazing Restaurant. I have been to Earls many times, its a great place. Top notch service, great management. Great food. It is pricey, but that's life, its not for cheapos who order pop and fries! People in London complain way too much, about everything. Girls and guy waiters dress up in this place to look hip, there is no issue with super short skirts, cleavage- thats why alot of guys come here, what is this the 1900s, so shut up you insecure conservative people. To say the food is mediocre is a pretty broad and ignorant thing to say about a restuarant that has so many items to choose from. You loser haters are everywhere these days. Earls is probable one of the best restuarants in London. This is not a family restaurant, hence "Bar". And to say staff are too friendly is just a really dum comment to make. I enjoyed having staff ask if things were good, and get me an unlimited refill on my pop or another beer. Having extra staff is great too, at least it keeps people in this city employed. The only thing i would like to see is knifes and forks wrapped up and not to ask for water.

-----20 Nov, 2012-----

Great Restaurant. Had some great steaks here. Particularly like the blackening spice. Garlic pan fried bread was a little overboard though.

Great atmosphere great food. Took my girlfriend to earls for a nice dinner on friday and was super impressed. A lot of the reviews say they are overstaffed but we didn't see why that was a bad thing. From the minute we walked in the door they treated us like we were regulars. All the hostesses made eye contact and chatted us up while we waited at the door. They gave us free champagne as they were on a wait but we didn't mind waiting the 15 minutes.

They brought us to our table and gotta say the seating is pretty awesome. Very comfortable leather booths and chairs. We ordered the prawn dynamite roll which is like a cooked shrimp sushi roll and my girlfriend loved it soo much she ordered a second one to-go before we left. Drinks are great too, they have about 10 beers on tap and their cocktails are pretty fancy.
The service was amazing. Both my girlfriend and myself are in our late 20's early 30's so unlike some of the reviews we didn't find an issue with the clothing (I predict many of the people who said that are older or haven't worked in the industry). Our server seemed to know everything about the menu and for first timers like us it was greatly appreciated. Apparently earls makes most of their stuff from scratch which greatly impressed my gf as she has worked at moxies and other places and knows how bad the food is there. Earls bakes their own burger buns (which I enjoyed thoroughly), they make their own spinach dip, salad dressings and basically anything they can including desert. For dinner my girlfriend had the roast chicken entree and like I said I had the bronx burger. Everything tasted as fresh as the server said. Our server was super helpful and always checked up on us. She knew to bring extra napkins and refill our drinks without us asking.

I also agree with the other reviews that the music can feel a little loud but from our experience I feel it is more a general noise not from music but from it being a full restaurant and the chatter and noise + the music. We mentioned this to our server who immediately brought a manager over who explained the music level selection. The manager explained that they are not a family restaurant and cater to the business clientele and a young professional clientele. We appreciated the managments presence to immediately explain why the music was the volume it was.

If your looking for a good time out WITHOUT the kids or elderly parents then earls is the place for you. Probably best for a boys night out or ladies night too. We were VERY impressed with the fresh food and the quality of the ingredients.

We already made our next reservation for friday and can't wait to try something new. Highly suggest making a reservation as on fridays and saturdays they are usually full by 5pm and on an hour wait.

After reading the reviews on here I was a little apprehensive when my boyfriends parents invited us for dinner. We were all blown away. The food was delicious. I had blackened chicken, tri coloured carrots with mashed potatoes. It was fantastic. Other meals ordered were the jeera chicken, another blackened chicken, and the steak. Everybody enjoyed their food. The prosecco was great, as well as the albino rhino pale ale. The server was friendly, knowledgable , but never pesky (which is one of my big pet peeves).

The decor was really nice, the volume was appropriate for us to have good conversation. Overall the atmosphere was great, food amazing and the service was commendable.

Will definitely be back !!
Diner
Sooo inappropriate. II understand they're going for an upper class club-type restaurant but there are limits. I was so shocked to see how short the skirts on all the hostesses were. They were constantly pulling them down. And I am sorry but I do not need to see all your cleavage either. You can still dress classy and modest. What we saw was just disturbing....not to mention they looked kinda funny moving big plates of food and furniture in 5 inch heels while also trying to cover their butt cheeks. Food is mediocre....but the outfits by the girls suggest they may sell other than food.

Nothing like the vibe out west( started my kitchen career out there:) but the food and service was great! happy birthday to me I really enjoyed it!

Very boring and bland food. This is a case of style over substance. The are obviously trying to create a hip chic vibe but it falls flat. To start like many have said before, the entrance is just terrible, more staff than I can count greeted us. We were seated on the patio seeing as it was a lovely evening. The first thing I noticed was the music was pumping so loud I could not speak comfortably with my wife across from me, this is not really comfortable for a 6:30 dinner. The second thing I noticed was the atrocious and terribly offensive outfits the waitresses had on, low cut in all sorts of ways. This is not how I wish to enjoy my evening being served by girls in almost underwear. The third thing I noticed was the table across from us was obviously off duty staff, they were obnoxious and kept yelling at the on duty staff to come over and chat. When we sat the first thing the waitress asked was what we would like to drink, I stated I wouldn't know because I just sat down and you haven't even given us a menu. Once we ordered I found the wait time to be acceptable, the food however was anything but good. Nothing tasted like it was fresh and it lacked any sort of flavor, I usually don't expect much from chain restaurants but this was defiantly below par considering the price. For the same price I could have had a beautiful meal at one of the private owned restaurants down town. I would maybe suggest Moxies if you're in that area, the atmosphere is the same but the food has some actual thought put into it

Absolutely amazing!. I had heard a couple things about Earl's from some friends who lived out West for a little bit. All great things! when i visited the London Earls everything they had said about Earls was right. The door service was amazing. It was a saturday night and obviously busy but the friendly Hostesses welcomed us with big smiles, Presecco, appetizers and some friendly chit chat. They even opened both doors for us. They were MUCH sweeter than the hostesses at Moxies and seemed very down to earth and friendly. When it came to being sat our hostess made even more conversation with us and introduced us to a couple menu items which i must say were delicious. We sat in the "lower lounge area" with the big tvs but lower tables and our server was quick to greet us regardless of how busy the restaurant was. She was just as friendly as the hostesses and very accommodating to our health concerns. When our food came it was absolutely delicious and our drinks complimented it perfectly. everything we ate or drank was recommended by staff. at the end of our meal a manager came by to make sure everything was great. Let me tell you these people are so caring and accommodating.

over all i felt so welcome by all of the ladies at the door, i even chatted with them before i left. I wanted to bring my younger kids but i was informed that there were no highchairs or booster seats which is okay because it is a very mature kind of atmosphere. you don't see moxies having those things either so idk why people are complaining about that stuff. and as for people complaining about them being over staffed, give them a break they're new to London and are probably still trying to figure out the flow of their rushes. I'm sure they would rather be over staffed than under staffed because then customers would receive their food and service much slower. its always great to have back up..

OVERALL amazing and i will be visiting again soon :)

The atmosphere is very cool loved the look of the place found the staff friendly and the service was good they for sure take care of there customers. The food Is pretty mediocre for the price however. I had one of the pizzas it was ok. My Bf had the chicken and brie sandwich and felt it was a little bit of over kill with all that was on it. A friend got a $18 salad and said it was tasted but def was disappointed with the size and the amount of ingredients, would go a get, but I'm in no hurry
Anita
My first time there and it was a huge mess. Disorganized staff, girl at the front had to wait until someone else showed up to tell her where to seat us. When we got to our table we were asked if we would like to order drinks while we looked at the menu. We did and 25 minutes later out drinks showed up served by a different person. In that time, we also saw someone else who took our food order. Then someone else delievered our food(which was more timely than our drinks), and when part of our meal was forgotten, another 10 minutes ensued waiting for it, to have it delievered by yet someone else! The burger was NOT a 15 dollar worthy burger. The fries were frozen mccain. The pizza however, and ceasar salad both were quite tasty. At the end of the meal, leftovers were taken away to be "boxed up" and never seen again. They were extremely prompt in extracting the money for the bill from us. All in all lame service, mediocre food, inflated pricing and a desperate attempt at something trendy. Moxie's version of windows vista ;)

Intrusive staff was a little offputting..... From the moment my wife and I walked in we were a little off-put by the amount of staff just standing inside the doorway. The wait staff needs to be better trained about approaching the guests as they are dining and seemed to be too in your face, way too often. To be fair I am sure these issues will be resolved in time, the only other problem was the pricing was just a tab on the high side. Expect to pay 25 to 30 dollars a head ...more if your having a few drinks.

Very enjoyable lunch..... We decided to give the restaurant a try and are happy we did. Very pleasant hostess and wait staff asking if we had a any questions. I ordered the pineapple and ginger margarita, oh my it was good. For a entree I had the crab and prawn linguini and my husband had the hunan with chicken, both were exceptional. Plenty of food, we couldn't eat it all. Our lovely server Arielle came over many times to check on us. We had a wonderful experience, looking forward to our next visit. Give it a try.
Sean
Horrible. Me and my family went there for a few drinks and an appetizer. What a joke, they give you a cup filled with ice and some pop, that tasted like water after a minute, and we ordered some fries just to talk over. $7 for a small low quality fries. Would not reccomend to eat there.

No place for a Business lunch. Food places a distant second to this obvoiusly bar with food concept. My wife and I took a business lunch only to be confronted with some 6 staff at the door and dismay at our rewuest for a booth. during the meal we were interupted over 12 times we refills questions and fishing for compliments on the atmosphere and food. For starters the food doesn't represent value of and inspiration to justify the high price. One of use selected a burger which was most definitely way undercooked. this was met with a " a burgers are cooked to medium" response. The wait staff's attire had many unappropriate examples. both staff and management had difficulty processing a giftcard. This was not able to be done tableside and we found out later that our tip had be artificially inflated without our consent. This would not be the place to bring clients let alone my family.
Melissa
Enjoyed my food but weird atmosphere. Definitely seemed over staffed. Greeted by 5 people on arrival and another 6 +stood uselessly by the bar during my entire meal. People constantly at your table asking how you are- nice the first time but annoying afterwards. I'll stick with moxies or the keg.
Rob
Wow. Really surprised by the prices on the menu at first. I then assumed that the portion sizes must be good. Boy was I wrong! A group of us all ordered different things and all of us left still hungry. Perhaps if they didn't have so many people holding doors open and saying hello to you, they could drop the prices on their menu! Or better yet, add 20% more food on the plates.

Not Worth The Money Or Time. I went for the first time to an Earl's on April 23/2012 in London, Ontario to the new one on Wellington St. S. My gf and her mom have been out west in B.C. and loved them. This was not the greatest, I'd say is the best way to put it.
When we went in (for lunch) there were literally 5 people to greet us. Not sure why so many were needed to say hi. Then sat down and got a small glass of champagne while we waited (one good point). My gf ordered a virgin fruit margarita which came salty with salt around the rim - something we found quite odd; usually it is sugar for that kind. So sent it back and asked for no salt and that's what we got, no sugar either. I ordered one as well as it was a deal that day and they come not blended either. Check one of the pics I posted - I find odd not to be blended but makes it look like they just make a big batch and pour one part in and then the other. Unless you ask for something odd (like no salt) and then it's blended....haha.
Had sliders & chicken wings for starters - wings good but oh so small. Sliders were very good.
Looked over around 2 at the bar/kitchen area and there were 15 people (again literally, counted them all) just standing doing nothing. There was no rush of customers or anything so it was weird to just see them all doing nothing, not even trying to pretend to work. Most of the girls wearing very short skirts/dresses - good for me but not for women or children. Weird atmosphere - guess they are trying to attract men?? I thought it was family ish restaurant.
Food was not worth the money, can get better for cheaper in other places. If you just want girls in short clothes, go to a strip club or Hooters. Doubt it will last that long, in my opinion.

Aweful process to get in....they are dazed. When we were close to getting in, an employee walks in and gets bumped in immediately....pricks!

Leave the kids at home. As with almost every Earls out west in regard to children under the age of thirteen; London's is no better. What was once a family restaurant filled with garish parrots & greenery along with a child friendly menu has become a lounge setting filled with suits & club hoppers out for a pre "meat market" bite to eat. Not a high chair, crayon, or chicken tender in sight. We ordered the meat ball sliders for our little one--$10.50 for 3 little mini "burgers" filled with a marinara meat ball, cheese, & arugula on a mini toasted bun...no fries or vegetables on the side...no drink or dessert included. They were delicious to me; however all that was eaten was the bun & cheese. The meatball was "too spicy" and the arugula tasted like radishes. Upon ordering milk my daughter was sadly dismayed to find they didn't serve it. She settled for an orange juice. This was left untouched due to the pulp that was also included. Once again, I thought it was amazing, but her pallet did not enjoy the texture of the extra bits involved.
My husband enjoyed his jeera chicken, rice, & naan bread while I ate half of my meal & lost my appetite. This had nothing to do with the food. The food was amazing. Chicken, brie, apples, & a fig spread grilled between the slices of a toasted ciabatta bun. The ceasar salad was also delicious--home made ceasar dressing & butter crunchy croutons on a bed of very fresh romaine lettuce--all green without any of the white stems. I should have been smart and taken my husband's lead by ordering a meal that needed utensils. Being squished between a hungry four and a half year old rubbing meatball sauce on my once clean shirt and a squirmy baby in need of a high chair rather than a car seat or a lap made me long for my own dining room and food that didn't require the use of both hands. My not even half eaten meal was soon packed up in a small cardboard box to be finished later while my pint of Blanche de Chambly went down the hatch lickity split as not to hold up the line of my young family exiting our booth. I ate the cold remnants of a once delicious sandwich from my lap in the front seat of the car on the way home. At least I had both hands free with the kids buckled in their carseats behind me.
We will return...one day...kid-loose & fancy-free. Unless of course Earls decides to accommodate young families with children by purchasing a few high chairs and offering kid-friendly (and smaller / cheaper) meal options. Mein Street, while lacking the delicious food Earls has to offer, definitely has the kid friendly thing down. It would be nice to find a place that actually includes both.

Meh. Was really excited that there was a decent bar/grill open until 2AM coming to the White Oaks Area of London. Walked in around 1:15am, as i work late, on a Tuesday.. a week after they opened. They advertise they are open until 2. There were 2 bartenders working. They stared at us with their mouths open glaring at us as if we had just ruined their lives. We sat at the bar. After a couple minutes one bartender came over and just looked at us. Didn't say a word! We ordered drinks. He unenthusiastically said "uh ok" and gave us our drinks. A few minutes later 2 other gentlemen across the bar ordered asked for 2 bottles of coors light. he honestly completely literally said "uh.. fu*k!" , tore open the fridge and gave it to them. I couldn't believe the atrocious service from such a reputable company. I understand they are new, but that's no kink in your system... I will be reluctant to return with my family and friends for dinner.
