Review The Tasting Room - London

Well done Tasting Room! We came to check you out and YUM! What a dinner experience you gave us! Our family of 4 enjoyed 4 apps and 4 mains and everything was so fricking good we almost licked the plate! The crab cakes were delicious, the pork with spaetzle is a must try, the Mac and cheese and truffle fries were all delicious! We had for mains the chicken stuffed with lobster, the melt-in-your-mouth beef cheeks but the star of the night was the ribeye: that sauce! Woah! Nanette was our serve and she was a total queen, thanks to the chefs and everyone who made our night amazing! We will be back! Oh and by the way, the prices in this place are VERY reasonable for the level of food that we got, it was actually cheap for so much food we ordered! Congrats and great job!

First timer. Went there for wedding anniversary based on Google reviews. We weren’t disappointed. Excellent service. Food was absolutely splendid, off the charts. Our server Nanette (?) was very attentive to our needs. A bit noisy closer to the bar but we tolerated it well. We had coconut shrimp and crab cakes for appetizers with rack of lamb and grilled ribeye for entree’s. I highly recommend this establishment. If you’re looking for a (really) quiet evening with your date this might not work for you.

We decided to do a share a bunch of appetizers (beef tips, crab cakes, calamari and tuna) to sample and share. Very tasty. Service was top notch. For dessert, GET THE CARROT CAKE!

Our go to restaurant in London! Never fails to satisfy. Food and service always excellent! I’ve noticed that their prices haven’t gone up as much as other local restaurants! Only downside is it gets very noisy inside.

This is a great spot for a later evening dinner…..which can be surprisingly difficult to find on a weekday in London! Excellent service and delicious food!

This restaurant’s vibes was moody and really good! This time I two appetizers and one bottle of wine, and shared with my friend. The quantity of food was really enough for us and we were really satisfied with that! These two dishes tasted so gorgeous and matched with wine :) Regarding price, it wasn’t expensive but reasonable! I truly recommend to go this restaurant!

I took my boyf for a lunch date and it was perfect, the food, drinks and dessert were top notch. The server who served us was so friendly and sweet, really made us fall in love with the place. Would def suggest this place for a lunch/dinner date or maybe a good time with your loved ones.

Second time to dine in here, have to say the artichoke dip didn’t have the sizzling entrance as the first time but the taste was still the same. Very creamy and honestly, we made sure the bowl was clean. My partner and I got the beef tenderloin and the half rack of lamb. Divine dishes! Perfectly cooked and tender, both paired well with the wine we got. Highly recommend if you have not been here yet.

Nice place to unwind. We missed the kitchen but they brought out bread because we were hungry. Manager said just run across grab pizza at Stobies and eat it here. Topped up my soda multiple times. Engaged with the staff. Other clientele in the bar were all friendly. Nice Jazz background music.. The staff hospitality will bring you back!

I had a really great dinner at the tasting room. The food and service was delicious! Unfortunately I didn't try a wine flight but had some sangria, which was a bit watery than I'd prefer. The atmosphere is a 4..maybe even a 3. I thought this would be more fine dining given the prices but a lot of diners were so casually dressed (shorts, running shoes, athletic apparel). There was no music or ambient music in the background either

This was our date night destination. Our waitress was fabulous and made great recommendations. We enjoyed small plates here and I had an paper plan cocktail 🍸 it was very delicious. And can't wait to come again.

Girls' night out was a hit at Tasting Room. Some of us hadn't been for years, and others, it was our first time. We got a bunch of appetizers and drinks. The sangria was delcious, and the food was perfect. Everything we ordered was so good.

On our day trip to London Ontario, looking for a place for lunch., we decided to chose a restaurant on Richmond Street. However, the place was closed on a Tuesday afternoon. We decided to choose another place in the area and came upon The Tasting Room. We mentioned to our server that we were just looking for some snacks …. since we were not that hungry yet. And he made us feel so comfortable and not pressure to order more!! We start off with The Aperol Gin Sour to go along with a few apps. It was very refreshing and not too sweet which is just how I like it!! Since there was two of us… thought we would order a few apps, we ordered Kangs Fiery Pork on($18) which is marinated in a spicy sauce .. really not all that spicy for me but it was delicious. It’s all also served with a sesame cilantro Spaetzel (a German type pasta) which was a great compliment. We also ordered the Truffle fries ($6) … such a good deal. I enjoyed it so much… the fries were served piping hot with a nice fragrant truffle and topped with Pecorino Cheese. Only thing, the fries were served in a metal cone shaped container, so the fries at the top had all the pecorino cheese but when we hit the fries in the middle, it was just plain. I asked if they could give more cheese for the fries in the middle. Amazing…. they surprised me with a new batch of fresh hot fries with lots of cheese. And the server came with an extra dish of shaved pecorino. Such a nice touch ….thanks so much! Great service here! We really enjoyed our server who was working by himself but was attentive and so pleasant. If you are visiting London, I recommend you visit The Tasting Room. I had the veal parmesan with fettuccine. The fettuccine was fine, I'd give it an 8, the veal parm was not good, I'd give it a 2. The veal was very dry, hard and tasteless and the coating was burned, not sure why the chef would send this out. As the main part of the dish was the veal, the overall rating for the meal is 5 at best. Also, we were seated on the back upper level where the tables are literally 16 inches apart. The couple seated next to us might as well have been seated at our table, they commented likewise. We heard everything they said during the evening and vice versa. I also heard the couple seated behind us similarly comment negatively. Packing the tables together likely allows more customers to fit in, but it kills any chance for return business as I would never return to such a restaurant where even a modicum of privacy is non-existent.

Great menu, lots of selection. I had the stacked portabello mushrooms - delish. Quainte restaurant that has been around for years and does not disappoint. Conveniently located right next door to the Grand Theatre making a dinner plans a no brainer if you are seeing a play

Amazingly delicious food! We opted for the bruschetta first, followed by the crab and lobster stuffed chicken. The chicken was perfectly cooked, with a beautiful crispy skin in tact. We will definitely be back!

Had a great time here. Food and service were both amazing. Good portions as well. I’ll definitely be back!

Ordered the featured appetizer of egg rolls with beef tenderloin & a medium rare half rack of lamb (pictured). It was absolutely delicious!

Delicious food, stunning service and a magnificent atmosphere! The wine flights aren't bad either 😉
