Our family of 11 stopped at Waldo’s to celebrate the end of our vacation on our way home. The food was amazing. The servers were all friendly and helpful. The owner Mark went out of his way to make us feel at home. The grilled calamari and beet salad were particularly wonderful starters. My perch entrée was perfectly cooked. From the youngest at 10 to the two grandmothers, everybody enjoyed their meal immensely and are looking forward to returning again

Have eaten here a few times in last few months. Every meal lovely and beautifully presented. Staff have all been friendly and attentive. Is more for nice dining so prices reflect this. It's not a 'fancy' decor place but is close to down town market and theater so great location for meal out before/after a show.

Super friendly service and great freshly prepared food.  The caesar salad and soup are my go-to for yummy lunches. Super beer selection in bottles and on tap.

I have been to Waldo's a number of times and remember the old location. That said, change is good and this was a nice change. High-calibre service, those guys are pros. Great place to go for a date and a nice steak (or seafood) dinner. This is my birthday restaurant of choice. Great food, nice wine, excellent service.

Thanks guys.

Amazing!! The food was incredible, the service was beyond exceptional! How refreshing to visit a "wine bar" where the server is actually knowledgable and passionate about the wine! The baked portobello stuffed with goat cheese and escargot were delicious. We stumbled upon this place and couldn't be happier that we did - will definitely be back - highly recommend this place.

WOW...!!! The service was exceptional. It has been a long time since I have had someone actually engage me in a friendly and casual conversation rather then just take my order! The mushroom soup was excellent and the catch of the day (pan seared cod with fruit salsa) was wonderful. Thank you for a memorable experience of flavours and friendly faces!! We will be back.

Fast and delicious. Went in for lunch and had my entree within 15 minutes! It was the best quiche I have had in a while. Prices are reasonable (for a popular downtown restaurant). Worth checking out.

A bistro in London. A terrific bistro with lively atmosphere and good food.

I'm big fan of the beet salad and striploin steak. The fare is a bit on the pricey side, but it is good food prepared correctly, so always a good bet.

BEST BURGER IN LONDON!. I eat here all of the time, and they have HANDS DOWN, the best burger in London! Comes fully loaded with cheese, bacon, sauteed mushrooms, onions and green peppers, lettuce, tomato and of course pickle! You can order it the way you want (rare, medium etc.) and their caesar salad is amazing too - which is a FREE side, no upcharge. All of the food is good here and the price is really good (burger is $12).

Absolutely an experience. The bistro is very cozy, and beautiful. The food was awesome! The grilled Calamari (appetizer) was a killer! I had the salmon, my husband had the pasta feast? (I think that's what it was called). Everything tasted delicious. Our server was extremely nice, and they were very accomodating of our needs. We brought a cake for the birthday we were celebrating and they brought it out with spark candles, then cut it for us and served it in a very beautiful way at an added cost but was absolutely worth it because they add some fruit and decorate it. Thanks so much, we'll definitely be back!

Authentic foods! Service excellence! Comfortable contemporary yet relaxed more upscale atmosphere. Fresh and delicious and great friendly staff. Care and love went into it. Also, they can accommodate orders quite quickly. It's a Waldo's On King Bistro & Wine Bar.

My husband and I are relatively new to London, and we have been looking for our 'go to' dinner spot. This place is it. The service was amazing, our waiter John was friendly and helpful, made great recommendations and made sure we were taken care of through out the night. Food was delicious, flavourful, it taste home made. Up until now, one of the generic chain restaurants has been our default place to go for a weekday/weekend dinner, and it is fine, it is very standard. When you visit a place like Waldo's, the food taste home made. It tastes like some one made the dish just for you. Price is fair and reasonable, portion is generous. We will be coming back here.

Great place for a ladies’ night out! The entrees are amazing! Strongly recommend the lamb rack! Duck breast portion is smaller than we thought but the sauce is outstanding ! We had scallops as well! Super friendly waitress talked us into the desert! Wish they cut the strawberry’s end off for the desert, Double fried fries are okay I think I had better fries at Waldo during lunch time.

Had dinner here on Friday, and had a good experience. The service was quick and attentive, our server John did a good job. I had a Tom Collins and it was awesome! On the sweet side just how I like it. Food was great, we had mussels, Cesar salad, and a rulibeye and striploin steak. Bonus points for not using seed oils in their cooking! Would like to come back!

We LOVE Waldo's! It is our favourite place for a special occasion and/or a date night. There is always so much care and craftsmanship with the food preparation and presentation. Sometimes it looks too pretty to eat but smells too amazing to not eat! 🤭 Theresa is our favourite server of all time. Anywhere. Ever. She is amazing, and knows what you need before you do. And she is just downright lovely!

This has been my second time back, and both times, I did not suffer the dread of buyers remorse. The service was, without a doubt, excellent, no it's ands or buts. It did not feel force and the setting was rather great, even though it is small, it feels nice to sit in. Not over the top, simply a good place to enjoy a meal. The soup of the day was quite nice. Though I wish there were mushrooms inside of the soup, it still tasted great. I had a croq monssiuer (Forgot how to spell it, sorry...) with a garden salad- orange vinaigrette. The only thing that felt out of place was the mushrooms, but other than that, I was pleasantly surprised on how good the salad tasted. The sandwich itself was nicely done. Rich and filling. Though I had to add a pinch of salt on both sides of the bread. Normally, I would not have desert but to give it a fair shot, they gave me something off the menu. And again, they did not disappoint. Creamy, not too sweet (but pairs well with tea), the syrup actually tasting home made while the strawberries actually tasted great, I finished it all without forcing myself to. Though expensive, for once, I would like to formally say that this place is well worth the price stamp it advertises. I have never shown a finished plate until now. I highly recommend this place.

Went to waldos on Saturday night for my birthday. Haven't been since before covid-19. It was just as good as ever. It is pricey but worth every penny. Had the lamb that has been my favorite for years. My wife had the short ribs and she loved them. Scott are waiter was wonderful. Great job for keeping it a memorable spot for me. I will be back soon. Recently had lunch here with a friend. It was wise to have made a reservation because the restaurant was full. I had the chicken pot pie and fries. Portion size was generous. Pastry was very flaky and the filling was fabulous. Nice chunks of chicken, together with leeks and mushrooms. Fries were fresh, hot and nicely seasoned. The only downside was the cost to park in the garage. It was $15! I pay less in Toronto.

With Patio season starting we had a lovely lunch outdoors recently and were served by our "favorite server" who treats you just right. We had fresh perch as an appetizer (breaded) and as a main (pan fried in butter). My Baboo had the mushroom crepe. We splurged on dessert and tried both the creme brule and the creme carmel!! It's one of our favorite, and convenient, spots in London. On King at the Market.

I have been to Waldo’s many, many times with family, friends and dates over the 17 years they’ve been open in the Covent Garden Market and it’s somehow never enough. Extremely consistent both in their delicious food and their above-and-beyond service. This high calibre extends to their take-out as well! Sunday we were treated to one of their Seafood Extravaganzas - fresh and plump Malpeque oysters, ludicrously jumbo shrimp and scallops, a whole Maine lobster, a perfectly-seasoned Caribbean lobster tail and a pound of mussels in their addictive curry broth, rounded out with one of their perfect Caesar salads, two lovely berry cheesecakes and a delicious bottle of Prosecco. As always they deserve a special mention for their sauces - the brown butter for the scallops, the mango-habanero reduction for the oysters, and two for the shrimp, one vinaigrette and one mayo-based. Every single bite was scrumptious - one of the best restaurant meals I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying anywhere, let alone in my own home. Waldo’s never fails! I definitely have to echo some of the other reviews on here with a big grateful shout-out to Scott - he can turn even a couple of appetizers into a celebration.
