Review The Port - Little Current

Fantastic experience at The Port while visiting Manitoulin. VERY GOOD fish and chips - huge portion sizes, great fresh food, way more fish than breading (unlike a lot of bug chain places). I'd highly recommend to come here while on the island 👍👍

A must stop . Fish is the best .The fish is local and a Italian crumb style . So yummy tried thw lake Huron and the port is better. The fries are awesome

These types of local eateries is what island life is about. Friendly staff and delicious fried foods. Don't miss the locally caught whitefish!!

Fresh and delicious fish and chips! The breading was very thin and you could taste the flavour of white fish directly! Outdoor seating was plenty and spaced out very well.

Only OK Stopped for fries as a treat, they were crispy but not cooked through and a bit hard.

Great location right when you come onto the island from Espanola and across from the Beer Store (can't get much better location than that). The food was okay in my opinion, there was nothing wrong with it but everyone has their own tastes and preferences. My husband had a cheeseburger and fries, I had the chicken fingers and poutine. I felt that the fries weren't very crispy and just lacked that texture I'm used to at a chip wagon. The chicken fingers were also okay but unfortunately ran out of plum sauce (had I known ahead of time, I would have ordered something different). Burger also wasn't anything to write home about, but still okay. The owner was great/super friendly and has made a really good business for himself. We will definitely go back when visiting again but try other things!

Fish and chips is PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!! The fish is not frozen instant type. Also, the fries is crispy.
