Review The Mediterranean Grill - Lethbridge

Friendly people working here, and my order was correct and the super donairs are huge; however, the donairs were very messy (the pita bread was falling apart), and the meat was dry.

The Mediterranean Grill is a Mediterranean restaurant, which serves authentic Mediterranean food. There are Two locations in Alberta. The location that we’ve been is in the city of Lethbridge. This location is on the west side of Lethbridge, near to the University. This location is around small shopping area, which is easier for people to find and park their cars. We’ve been to this place yesterday afternoon. Since it was still earlier than the dinner time, the restaurant is not busy. The restaurant is not big, but people can still eat in. We’ve ordered two super beef donairs to go. After we waited for few minutes, the food came out. They were fresh and well cooked. The beef donairs were huge and they were so tasty. The prices of the food were OK. They were not very cheap, but they were totally worth the prices. We had a great experience there.

They call it "super" donair and sell it for 14$. If I can eat it in 6 bites it's not a super donair and it's over priced. I attached a picture of what a 14$ donair looks like in Calgary, so you can get it right.

Walked in and waited over 5 minutes to even be acknowledged. A gentleman behind the counter sat in the back and was playing on his phone. Finally as I was about to leave a woman walked in and took my order. I ordered a super Donaire which came to 12 and change and she asked me if I wanted change back off of 20. Just got the donair and it's easily half as big as Sam's. I will definitely drive the extra to go to Sam's from now on.

Awesome service and great food. I asked if they could make my meal in a particular way, and they did! I asked for a high fat and protein meal. They suggested a mixture of beef and chicken with some leafy greens. It was awesome! Beef and chicken tasted just fine when I went in, so I don’t agree with some comments on here. But people taste things differently from others. I definitely won’t knock them for their food. It was all hot and fresh. They were helpful and gave me some macro info on what I was eating. The price was very fair and you do receive healthy portions. I was full when I left.

Consistency is a huge issue. The owner is always fantastic, and gives reasonable portions. If anyone else is making your food you may as well flip a coin, you will either get a ton of rice and meat and no veggie or a ton a veggie and almost no rice and meat. Or almost none of both, which is why this last experience brings me to do a review for them. I will not return food is tasty but not worth the money. Hopefully they get half decent staff soon enough.

We were four families coming back from a trip. Took a stop over for late supper. It was almost 9pm closing time. The owners generously accepted orders for 16 people and let us all sit there and finish our meal. Very kind of them. Food was great. Clean place. Have good choices inc fries. Would come back again.

This place used to be one of our favorites. There was always consistent food and friendly service. I was in about a month ago and it was mediocre, I assumed it was a one off. When I went in today I realized it wasn’t a one time thing. I am not sure what changes happened here but they are definitely negative. There was maybe one light on in the place and only one person working. The portions used to be much bigger but now are not, I also watched them heat up the rice in a microwave. Some bits of the beef were so hard on the outside they were hard to chew. I am disappointed that this place has now become so inconsistent and sadly I don’t think we will be returning.

I absolutely love the place. It is always clean and tidy, employees are friendly, helpful and really know what they are you doing!!! I absolutely love the food, it is always fresh and always delicious. It truly is the best health food. I would 100 % recommend the place. Great job guys !!

Ordered 2 donairs From Skip the Dishes, they messed up both. When called they argued it and told us it wasn't their problem, but instead put the blame On skip the dishes. I will be sharing my experience with anyone who will listen. First, and last time Mediterranean grill will receive my business.

Get regular cravings for this place! Love the food (all of it, everything I have tried has been amazing) and the service is awesome!!!

My favorite place to eat out in Lethbridge! I have been several times and its always so fresh and delicious! Keep it up Mediterranean Grill! You Rock!

The food was cold, came from a container, meat was fatty and way over priced for what we got.

The food is very tasty, but this place unfortunately might of just lost a customer today. The worst customer service I’ve experienced in a while.. Not only did she not acknowledge me when I walked in because she was on a phone call, she continued on that call, during my order, while she was cooking and still while she passed my food over when it was finished.. Absolutely brutal. I would imagine your call could of been put on hold for 5-10 mins while helping me.. and if it was a important call, a simple smile would have gone a long way.

My kids and I tried it for the first time and were super impressed. Delicious food, great portions and amazing customer service. We will definitely be back!
