Review O-sho Japanese Restaurant - Lethbridge

This was my first time here. We were asked if we wanted traditional seating or a booth. We, of course, picked the traditional Japanese seating. Our server promptly brought us water and took our beverage orders. We were pleased with the food selection as there were several items my daughter could choose from as she. Annoy eat sushi (she is pregnant). The food did not disappoint! Everything was absolutely enjoyable! I will definitely go back!

Dinner for one. Noodles, shrimp, chunks of beef. Katsu fish, Teriyaki beef. Cabbage. Sumono salad. Lots of tasty sushi. Always good. Service was top notch. Father’s Day supper. Will be back for sure!

First time at O-Sho! Great experience from the moment we entered the restaurant. The host asked if we wanted to dine in a traditional Japanese setting or regular dining. We opted for traditional, very unique experience! Super private, relaxing, and authentic Japanese environment. Food was priced fairly well, large portions! Ordered two, dinner for one meals. Much larger than expected. I guess ordering rolls was a bit too much... ha... no room for dessert 😋. Only weird thing that I felt wasn't very Japanese was the fried noodles that came with the dish, just a tad greasy for my liking, otherwise satisfied! 4 out of 5 stars! Worth the visit!

I have been my here for years and there are things at O-sho that I love. I have to give 4 stars because I decided to try out their new poke bowl and I was really disappointed. They put the food into a ridiculously small bowl! It looks pretty and very impressive but completely impractical. Then they put a huge layer of lettuce and cabbage under all the food stuff which I made a huge mess taking most of it out and then I had a side plate of salad. So what looked like a huge amount of food was actually salad.... Very disappointing. The overall quality of the food items in the bowl was good - tuna, seaweed salad, edamame, carrot, mango, kale, and rice. Put it into a bigger bowl with less lettuce and cabbage and I would order this again. 5 start service. My son loves coming here. Edit: May 17, 2022. So delicious, excellent service. I'm changing my rating to 5 star, I love coming here.

I have eaten here for years and I regret to say it has unfortunately went downhill. Portion size is small for the price you pay. Food in general taste pretty good. I used to come here expecting to pay under 25$ but now I don’t think I can leave satisfied under 35-40$ Overall if you willing to pay it is pretty decent. Overall Rating: 6.5/10

We ordered take out. It was ready on time but the food was mediocre at best. The yam tempura was not crispy, it was cool and a little soggy. The mango roll was just okay, not much mango sauce. Miso soup was a bit bitter, not much tofu or seaweed all. I've had much better sushi in Lethbridge. I do not recommend O-Sho.
