After did whole housework, my boyfriend took me to Moxie for dinner. The restaurant is located downtown, Lethbridge. It’s a big fancy western restaurant. The lounge has a great atmosphere and modern design, which gives customers romantic feelings. The servers were very friendly and helpful. They all wear the black uniforms, which look so nice. We arrived the restaurant around 5 pm. The restaurant was not busy yet, but there were still many people here. We had no problem to get a table. As soon, we sat down, our table server came and brought drinks and menus to us. The menu is very simple selection, but the prices of the food are more expensive than other restaurants (such as State & Main and Boston Pizza). We were struggled for while to order the food. The server was very helpful who introduced the dishes to us. After a few minus, we finally ordered our food. We ordered Calamari (tempura shrimp, sriracha aioli & sweet chili sauce) to share. It was a small dish: Calamari and Shrimp Tempura with deep fried green pepper and pink ginger dipped into sriracha aioli & sweet chili sauce. The sweet chili sauce tasted great for it. After that, we had Slow Roasted Baby Back Ribs full order (fall off the bone tender, your choice of potato + fresh seasonal vegetables) and Herb Alfredo (grana padano, penne, asiago cream, chives). The Ribs were well seasoned and well cooked. The Mashed potato was tasty, but it was too salty. The fresh seasonal vegetables were OK, not very excited. Herb Alfredo was decent with a small piece of Grallic Bread as well. Also, I added their $7.25 soup combo that we can have soup and dessert for the cheaper price. The Feature Soup came with a piece of Grallic Bread. The soup tasted OK, but it was not hot. Little bit disappointed. The White Chocolate Brownie dessert was awesome. I love the french vanilla ice cream so much. The food came very fast, but the server served water very slow. The food was decent. We had a good experience at Moxie’s.
Review. Came here the other night and the food was great. I had a steak sandwich with sweet potato fries and my boyfriend had a clubhouse, we both really enjoyed our meals.
The atmosphere was exceptional, and the service was friendly. As for the food, it was good. I got chicken Alfredo, which seemed a little boring, but that was my fault for not trying something different. All in all, great decor, good service, and good food
My all time fav restaurant and I just keep coming back. Love the sandwich and burger menu. Probably have been over 30 times the past 5 years. Not always the greatest service but I just love the menu.
Unmet Expectations. Though the food was good, especially the pasta primavera, and the service and staff were absolutely stellar, the prices were over inflated and the food did not match with the dollar signs. I could find the same pasta for less money. I think Moxies is trying to make itself into a chic, upscale restaurant, but its menu fails to live up to the high prices.
Go for the dessert!. For a casual night out for drinks, this is a great place to go! I just really dig the new location, its decor and everything. But you must go and have the white chocolate brownie. It is one of the most amazing desserts I have ever had.
Fantastic new location. Relocated and reno-ed in late 2009 it's a snazy snazy joint to go to. You should go just to check out the tile work in their. Even in the bathrooms!
The food is the same it's always been. My co-workers like the food more them me so we go lots and I'm only satisfied 50% of the time, One time I even got ill after. Management is more then willing to keep a customer happy though so I stand behind this business
Cute setting, very helpful waiter and I loved that he kept bringing refils to the table even before we were finished :) very fast service. I had the beef dip, and it was good, and the price was at value.
My all time fav Restaurant, but.... Since moving to their new location way, way, way to long of a wait.
