food is pretty good everything is great the soup is fantastic I'll tell you this sushi restaurant is amazing like I'm not joking right now I'm coming back again

Leduc, you know how to do sushi! Came here after a long day of driving on Jun 12, 2018. I’m staying at a nearby hotel and appreciated the short walk here. Was warmly greeted when I walked in and shown to a booth (there’s lots of space if you’re a bit of a bigger person).
Menu is enormous with lots of choices for every taste. I decided on salmon sashimi, chopped scallop cone, negitoro maki, volcano roll, and chicken udon. Food arrived very quickly and I dug in.
Sashimi was positively delicious! Very smooth and soft with no discernible fishy smell. Portion size was decent. Udon came next (complete with the spice!). Portion size is quite large and udon was lovely and just what my empty tummy needed. Maki was also excellent without a ton of rice (as other posters have mentioned). Cone was also good with a nice amount of scallop. All of it delightful.
Total including tax was $63. Would definitely come here again (love the music!). Servers were very friendly and I heard other tables comment on how great the food was.
Came for a late lunch and really enjoyed the maki bento...so much food!
The fish was nice and tender. No chewy chewy salmon here. We have had some really appalling sushi in Edmonton.
We will be back!

Good fresh sushi, and the platters are bigger than you think they will be. We ordered from Sushi Factory for a work meeting and everyone left satiated.. and I have since been here on my own many times and thoroughly enjoy everything they serve.
Leduc little secret, this place is fantastic!! Service is great although we were the only ones in the restaurant lol. I'll definitely come back 100%
Great sushi just glad we have something decent in Leduc rather then having to go to Edmonton just for sushi. Crunchy Oilers roll is definitely a must!!
Worth Paying For!!!. This Sushi Factory has the most generous amount of serving with the quality at its best! We all hope that this standard of them will remain ...because this is why we love this place...

This place has huge potential - similar to Sushi Sugoi, Kenko, Japonais Bistro and other competent restaurants in Edmonton.. I came here twice. The first time I just ordered a sushi platter for 4 ($60) and it was a little boring but a great bang-for-your-buck and an overall tasty experience to me. The sushi rice was actually not too bland and has just enough rice wine vinegar to make it interesting. The temperature and firmness of the rice was just right. We just didn't order anything else and got bored of eating rolls. Most of the rolls were stuffed with California roll / imitation crab meat sort of stuff. The service was excellent and the lady barely spoke English (I'm guessing Japanese descent w/ the mannerisms) but she was very accommodating.
The second time I came here was when things fell apart a little - enough to wish that I hadn't bought all the fried dishes because the oil was disgustingly re-used or recycled. What I mean is that they didn't change the oil all day or week and just kept deep frying things in it. It was a bit of a hot mess because all the deep fried dishes looked dark brown and masked the true taste of the oysters and chicken. Something that would've been otherwise wonderful was ruined by oil. Disappointing.
The rolls went downhill a little bit too. The rice felt a little more bland and the rolls didn't quite stand out - except for the lobster roll, that was kinda cool. I enjoyed the assorted sashimi though - nice presentation and it was fresh - no frills.
Overall, if the restaurant would read this review and use new oil to deep fry their foods, I would most likely come back. I would also like to commend on the fact that all fried dishes came with a side of salad to soften the blow / neutralize the deep-fried-ness of the food. In fact, I found kale (expensive!) in the assorted sashimi dish and wish I ate it instead of discarding it. This place has excellent potential and once the kinks are ironed out, it'll be worth your drive out to Leduc again and again.
My new favorite sushi place!. It's not very often that all aspects of a dining experience align and make a great dinner out, but my boyfriend and I's recent visit to The Sushi Factory was all that...

I really enjoyed the meal, and my non-sushi loving boyfriend was also able to find something on the menu for himself. At about $40 for a meal for both of us, where neither of us walked away hungry, it's a good amount of food. And we didn't have to drive into Edmonton to get it!
My only complaint is that the tables are too short for how tall the booths are built, and we had to lean fairly far over to eat our meals.
That being said, we will definitely be heading back to The Sushi Factory again!
Been twice and the food and service were both excellent. Waitress was very friendly and served us promptly. We received our food in about 15 mins. Happy to see a new quality restaurant in Leduc.

Slow service but delicious sushi. My husband and I stumbled here by accident when we were too hungry to wait until we got to Edmonton to eat at our usual sushi place. We were on the tail end of a long drive from Medicine Hat and heard Leduc had opened up a sushi restaurant. What a great surprise! Everything we ordered tasted fresh. The sashimi was buttery and tender and the rolls were full and unique. The portions were a good size and not hugely overpriced like so many other sushi places. The service was quite slow but our server was obviously learning so I would still go back. My only criticism was that the "assorted" vegetable tempura pretty much just consisted of starchy/squash vegetables - no other veggies in sight which I hope they change. That, and the atmosphere is lacking a bit - the wooden benches were very uncomfortable seats even with a thin cushion. Still, everything tasted really good and I would definitely eat here again, especially after they've ironed out a few beginner kinks.
They try hard. Since they opened, we have been here a few times. Good food and a clean bathroom will get repeat visits! They are still learning and can be a little slow. It is improving! The beef teriyaki is better then the chicken for the bento boxes. The best deal we stumbled on was the tempura basket. Lots of food and fresh and hot with vegetables I wouldn't have thought about. Very good.
Bring a cushion. The booths. Oh sweet lord the plywood booths with the paper thin mat. The most uncomfortable seating I have ever encountered. Past that, the food was hot and fresh. I thought the prices were a bit inflated, but not crazy. A nice option though in beer-bar Leduc. But the booths..........
Finally! Sushi in Leduc! A fantastic selection at amazing prices. Will definitely be back!

Potato Korokke. A great start to our dining experience. Nice and light for an appetizer. I thoroughly enjoyed how nice & crispy the outside layer was. Not too heavily dresses either. I absolutely HATE it when restaurants load on the sauce. Perfect balance. Good job SF!!!

Beef and Aspargus Robata. Perfectly cooked both the asparagus and beef. Not too much sauce which I enjoy. They allow you to really the flavours of the two. Great acidic salad to accompany the dish. Love it!

Coconut Shrimp. This was on the 'Special Menu'. The shrimp was so crunchy. I ate EVERYTHING (including the tail aka the best part). It was accompanied by a light honey mustard sauce. I only wish there was more.

I've had some Volcano Rolls in the past and this one takes the cake. The sauce was perfection and OMG the fish on top was sliced just so perfectly (not too thick and not too thin). Good portion size. I really enjoyed this one. Will be ordering again. A+++

Hello Okinawa Roll. This is my fav roll thus far. The tartiness of the kiwi balances nicely with the accompanied drizzled sauce. What a refreshing roll. Highly recommend A+++

Factory Melody Roll. This is one hearty roll. Jam packed with ingredients (crabmeat,egg,essential vegetables), this roll is definitely a mouthful. Great presentation. Plated beautifully. The kale was even crispy and fresh. Very nice touch.

Angry Bride Roll. This roll was a delightful change from the regular cold/room temperature rolls we are so accustomed to. The order came with an abundance of little scallops (which we were so pleased about). Good portion size. The roll was crispy. The flavours of the dish were not overwhelming. Just clean and simple. Love it.

Under the Sea Roll. We definitely weren't expecting this roll to be as big as it was. We were pretty impressed off the hop. Plated with an actual lobster tail, this was visually was so appealing. One bite and we knew we loved it. Not drenched in sauce like some other places, Sushi Factory chefs must know the right ratios to make this roll balance with all the other ingredients. Love how they use real lobster and not imitation. The lobster roll was nice and crispy and topped with loads of fish eggs (YUM). Great job!
