The tapas concept is one that I truly enjoy allowing us to sample different things in the menu. But with so many options come a certain level of risks, meaning not all plates will as delicious as the next one. The food was tasty in general. Beautifully presented. The lemon pasta with scallops and the gnocchi were our favorite dishes of the evening. The griot Bao was underwhelming and the Bao bread was dry. The tiramisu cake was delicious while the eclairs were not worth it. The good thing is that the menu changes monthly.

If I could give it 3.5 I would ...but rounding up to 4 stars. I came to the black forest for dinner on a Thursday evening and got the Menu Dégustation for 3 people 200$ (apperently there is a 20$ off on Thursdays but they didn't apply it to my bill!). This menu includes 10 tapas and one dessert. The first 3 tapas were very disappointing...Shrimp ceviche served on a Tostitos chip? Then a beet salad which wasn't very tasty. And a lemon pasta plate with very dry pasta. Fortunately, after that it got much better ! Delicious plates of tartare, black sausage, veal, Haitian griot...my favorites probably were the Artichoke Naan with cheese and the Gnocchi. I like that there was a large parking lot for the restaurant.

Ordered the tapas tasting menu. For the price you pay, it's honestly pretty good. I liked a lot of the tapas, some of them I didn't. Cons: - Biggest downside is that the place gets so filled up and loud as the night continues, that it's next to impossible to hear the explanation of each dish when being served. - The whole service took a whopping 3 hours, for 12 small dishes. I've had other tasting menus with a place full of people, that took less time than this, and had much more food. - We were three people, but some of the tapas only came with two "servings" - Dessert is hit or miss - sometimes its two servings, sometimes its one, sometimes its all three. It really depends on which desert you choose, and they unfortunately don't explain that in advance. Pros: - Portions are good: it's tapas, what more is there to say - Price / person is stellar. Came out to about 100/person, tip included. - Servers, waitresses, and the chefs are patient and clearly care about their craft - Atmosphere is pretty nice at the start of the evening, but beware: the closer it gets to 7:30/8 PM, the louder it gets in there.

the food is very good for the price. fresh ingredients and good cook on them. every components work well on the plate. i would still be happy if the price was higher. the only down is the service time...it takes way too long. i sat there for 30min before my order is taken. And there was only like 10 dishes on the menu. the dishes took too long to come out as well...But food itself is perfect especially for this price.

I had such an amazing experience. We had the best waitress!! She was super friendly and very quick and efficient. Every plate I took was so tasty and every component of the dish blended so well together. Their menu changes every month and they also offer a type of tasting menu. I highly recommend this gem!

Very nice restaurant, not too chic, just enough! The ambiance was a bit loud, but not unpleasant. The food was fantastic and the service was very good as well. There was a bit of delays in the dish delivery, but nothing that could have reduce our enthusiasm and our overall experience. I was with my 3 foodie kids, and they were very well received which definitely a plus for me. We all enjoyed every part of the experience from my kids’ mocktails up to the deserts. Special star for the tasty sweetbreads with chocolate crumble and the irresistible clam gnocchis! I am eager to go back to taste the famous octopus!

Excellent cocktails. However in some respects the food isn't as good as one would expect for the price and is very heavy for summer fare. For example, the cabbage rolls with veal and calamari tasted like something out of a crock pot and it was impossible to make out the ingredients. The music is a bit loud too. The wine list was short and they were out of 3 or 4 of the dozen or so red wines. Overall it's an ok place but a bit underwhelming considering its outstanding neighbours Oregon and the Boating Club. The menu changes monthly so I hope that they build on what works - their cocktails, nice restaurant space and terrace as well as enthusiastic serving staff. Maybe it's all just because they recently opened. I wish them the best of luck in becoming another go-to place in ste rose.

Wow très belle expérience. Une cuisine urbaine où les chefs n'ont pas peur de réinventer des classiques ou à faire le contraire de ce que tout le monde fait. On peut réellement voir qu'ils ont eu du plaisir à élaborer les plats en cuisine et la recherche de saveur est exhaustive. Les 5 plats que nous avons eu étaient absolument délicieux et nous avons également très apprécié que le chef propriétaire vienne nous expliquer chaque plat. Nous nous sentions vraiment comme s'il nous invitait chez lui et ça nous faisait chaud au coeur. L'ambiance du restaurant a tout été refait depuis La Vielle Histoire et ça ne fait pas de tort du tout! Une ambiance décontracté et lounge qui se paire parfaitement à la cuisine urbaine qu'ils servent. Ils changent également leurs menu à chaque mois! Finalement les prix du vin et et des cocktails sont très raisonnable et le verre de vin servit est un vrai verre de vin et non un 1/2 verre comme dans certain restaurant. La liste des vins offerts pourrait être plus grande toutefois. Une très belle surprise et ma copine et moi y retournerons très bientôt c'est sur!

Sérieusement!!��� félicitation pour le carte des cocktails , j'ai pris le sweet spiced beer� le service était sa coche on se sent comme des amis rendu la ba!!!! Pour la cuisine le menu de juillet vraiment wow bravo a Jean-François et Gab dans la cuisine�� expérience culinaire hors du commun;)

Je vous conseille le tartare de cerf et foi gras, les petites sauces qui accompagnaient le tout... DIVIN ... J ai adoré le chardonnay américain pour accompagné le tout . Nous allons revenir avec des amis c' est certain...
