Review Osaka Sushi - Laval

July 2021 2.5★ take out order. The reviews are a bit misleading. Personally, didn't like it. The rolls tasted fine, but lacked character and really fell apart as you picked them up despite it looking decent. Seemed like they were made carelessly. The cucumbers are 1 huge piece and probably a reason why things feel apart. Personally had better elsewhere for the same price. Though there is an unspoken 10% off for cash pickups which might entice some.

Dine-in. Sushi was good but was overshadowed by terrible service! Order was incorrect and got order after 3 hours or waiting. They give priority to takeout and Uber orders. This was our second visit and service has not improved from the last time. This will be our last visit.

Nice bring your own wine restaurant. Sushi was good and it seemed fresh. Service was good as well, although a bit slow. "Océan gratinée" will make you love this restaurant, I'm confident. Love boat is a good option if you want to try different things from the menu. Osaka as well. " Little Prince " not that great though.

The food is fresh. No doubts here. But... Our first time was so good, that we though we have our "to-go" place. We came back (take-out again) and second time was, well, mediocre at least. Probably, "Chef's choice" for combos is always diifferent, but this time "You chose poorly". Sadly, will keep looking for another option for sushi nights. Oh, and check the photo of cucumber roll's older brother!

It was really good + it's bring your own wine. We ordered a miso soup at 5 different rolls that were delicious with no exception.

Don't mind the glamorous reviews, Shady place. Meat missing in dragon ball, and all of our Makis. chef refused to redo or swap for other dishes Picture 1 : Maki supposed to have spicy salmon and caviar, the later is nowhere to be found. Basically just tons of tempura , very little rice a a tiny bit of salmon. picture2: Maki listed to have crab meat/crab stick /Tobiko and shrimp... All you'll find is few grab stick in a sea of tempura. Chef and waiters wouldn't do anything except telling us that "no one ever complains"... basically so sucks to be you... Service VERY slow ( over 30 min for first dish, 20 min in between others) Not coming back and I strongly advise you do that same, there are so many other great sushi places.

It's good food, with good presentation, it's nice to have a bring your own wine sushi restaurant. Service was slow but nice attention to detail. And was a quiet night
