Review Mikasa Sushi Bar - Laval

The wait time was quite long but the freshness and taste of the sushi made up for it. SPIDER sushi was the best one there. I wished they had more options with shrimp on the menu. All in all, the interior is quite nice and food is fresh.

Run. Run far away unless you have an obscene amount of time to waste. It took them 40 min to take my order, 30 min for the first plate to come and another 30 for the second, and I only ordered raw fish sushi plates, nothing had to be cooked so I’m confused. Then it was mediocre sushi at best. I’m just praying that I don’t get sick, then we would really have an issue. I’ve had sushi from the best of the best but this place. Shameful.

Great experience here , the staff was friendly and was very kind. They lets us change spots to the more Intimate Japanese style rooms at the last minute. Kane the waiter was awesome and of course the food was top grade....fresh all the way.

I'm only giving one star for the waiting staff. They were super nice, friendly and efficient. But dear god the food was awful. We tried both the chicken and salmon teriyaki, the duck breast and several types of sushi. The vegetables were completely burnt, tasteless (not even some salt!!!). They just tossed some sauce on top to give off the impression that they served you something tasty. We had to send back the salmon dish because it was too burnt to be eaten and all the cooking staff did was put some fresh veggies on top to cover it up. I've gone twice to that restaurant within a year and was disappointed both times.

We have been clients of Mikasa for over 20 years - we usually order from Mikasa Chisai on Samson (which has never missed on quality). We reserved a table on the 31st and with the closing of the dining rooms from the government, I cancelled our reservation and placed our order of almost $200 in advance on the morning of the 30th since I had a feeling that the government was going to close down our restaurants. The quality was horrendous. The tuna tataki usually served in 8 slices were small shavings of leftover fish dumped into a small pile. We ordered the sushi pizza, which we were charged for and never received. I spoke to the restaurant and interestingly enough, they knew that they did not put it in our order but charged us anyways. I will never go back to this place and will speak to the management directly at Chisai regarding this issue. Update to the rude reply from the owner below: check your TouchBistro orders for the combined 2 orders placed: 2442176 & 2442655 - I called the restaurant 3x to discuss this issue and was either placed on hold forever and being hung up on.. I even left my number to discuss politely and not through swearing

Amaizing place ! I go to a lot of sushi places and this one is by far one of my favorites. The drinks are great, ambiance is nice, service is good. (even tho a little slow) The food is Flabbergasting! They have a lot of choice and the quality is definitely there. It's fresh, tasty and well presented. We enjoyed our dinner a lot! We will obviously go back.
