Review Calvi - Laval

Worst service EVER .. blaming it on « Covid » Is not an excuse! Can’t even tell you who was the waiter except he had black hair serving front portion of the restaurant! Completely ignoring us .. table of 6 … acting like he dosent here us … the service was difficult from the first minutes in and the Fkn 4 hours after !! It was my birthday.,impossible to eat the « fish » he recommended after I tried to order the « seabass » .. I returned the dam fish for the « kitchen »to return the same fish but all cut up … uncooked 🤨 waiter dint give a fly that I ate or not until I requested the bill and started to talk load how horrible the waiter was and how « he « Wasn’t looking even to my face … well He looked at me and said «  I’m here now « So I gave him my $.50 cents and told him never again I will come !!! Bill came … full .. i was beyond insulted … after 10 minutes.. he came back with a corrected bill .. this was my birthday supper !! Ruin by the Calvi service

Rented the upstairs private room for a very special event. The food was great but what was even more outstanding was the service and attention from Philippe and Karen. Philippe helped us take our pictures, made sure everything was perfect! Offered before we had to ask, his service was A1. Highly recommend!

The staff was awesome and the food was amazing, nice wine selection with its own wine cellar. Although food was "expensive" it was priced well for the quality. The only negative was we were told it was 1/2 off wine which I did not receive. Will go again despite that!

The experience was great. Food was amazing The services was great but a little slow at times. They had a huge choices of wine. If you like great good and don't mind waiting a little it's a great place to try

Very nice cozy place to have a business lunch, owner is down to earth, Costa was welcoming the moment we entered the restaurant, he’s a pro, staff is very friendly, smiling all the time, quick, food was great, I highly suggest giving Calvi a try, you wilt regret it. The burger is totally different than any burger we had, fish n chips is A1. The wine cellar is 😍 very nice touch.

Went to this restaurant last night and the food was great! The unfortunate part was the ending! They rushed us out by bringing our bill without us having asked for it, what if we wanted to order something else? Even if there were other customers coming in and you need to free a table, you should have started with all the other tables of people who we found there! I have a theory on why we were the chosen ones to be rushed out but hey that’s cool!

Food was good. Service was ok but please, if you have a deal on the wine, please mention it! Not great to discover it after we ordered.

Friendly service and atmosphere. The food was delicious and prepared to our liking.
