Review Streats - Langley

Love their tacos, especially shrimp. Great service. But... tried the poutine for the first time today. Not a fan of the fries and lacked gravy/cheese (I had two bites of poutine prior to photo). Update - I posted the above before I ate these tacos. Peri chicken was too spicy to eat! I had asked worker and she said it wasn't... Guess we have totally different heat levels!

Mixed feelings on this one. I visited this restaurant accidentally before it opened, and then once informed of when it was opening, came back.. that was a long time ago. I really enjoyed that experience. It was one of the few places open on that building during the build-up of Willoughby Town Center. The food was tasty, fresh, the place was packed to the gills and everyone was having a good time! The owner or manager apologized about the lack of air conditioning, that it hadn't been installed yet. I visited two years ago during the 'pick up only' phase of the pandemic and got some food and it was tasty, though the atmosphere was dour since noone could sit there - merely collect their food and go (not their fault - it was a Pandemic). This trip though.. something changed, and not in a good way. When I went in, it wasn't busy. Of the four TV screens showing their selection, one worked, two were off completely and the one between them was on but with a black screen. One menu TV was spattered with food. The tables were not clean. There was stuff on the floor. The A/C apparently was never installed because it was warmer there than outside which was in the high 20s due to the heatwave. Then I got the food- two chicken tacos and the plain fries I requested. The chicken was nearly inedibly salty. I ate it and half the fries but seeing the sorry state of this restaurant I previously enjoyed and the 30+ degree temperature inside, I didn't finish my food. I will probably never return... if you're going to run a restaurant, the very least you can do is keep it clean in the small seating area provided... rags and Windex are cheap, and losing customers is not. Sorry for the negative review - it just was unpleasant as heck. PS: The fries were hot and delicious.

Ordered a Buffalo Chicken & a Mexican poutine. Tasty.

I liked this place! Lots of different types and styles of poutine, or just go with the classic! Alcohol available. Affordable prices too.

I cannot express how much I liked this place. My first meal at any restaurant is fish tacos (if available) and that's my benchmark. strEATS exceeded my expectations and then some. Not only was the value there but the portion and taste as well. The menu has everything I love, tacos, fish & Chips, poutine , and burritos they even offer vegetarian and Beyond meat. I ordered the two taco combo which included a mini poutine (cutest thing ever) and a drink for 13$. I got a fantastic fish taco and and equally tasty coconut shrimp taco. My boyfriend ordered The Mac Poutine, basically a deconstructed Big Mac and loved it. Thank god he went with a regular size because he could not finish it, a large size would feed two. The location itself was clean and bright, lots of parking too. Try this you will love it.

I have never tried a fish taco before, but my coworkers recommended me to have one. The taco is super AMAZING! I will definitely come back to this place to try other tacos as well. 😋

Food is fairly good for a fast foody place, but the amount of sauce on my order was beyond too much. It was dripping off every forkful. See the picture for a halfway through snapshot, compare to how much sauce they show on the menu. They show a drizzle, but actually made my order with a downpour. So, this is not really the same as Freshii or Chopped Leaf, as I thought it might be from the menu. Doesn't feel as healthy haha EDIT 1: Owner, is this an unusual amount of sauce, or do your bowls normally have this much sauce? Whether the picture on the menu is changed or the sauce amount in the actual dish is changed, you should make the two line up more closely so people know what they're buying.

Perogy poutine was delicious. Portion sizes were decent and I felt the prices were fair. Definitely want to try the tacos.
