Review White Spot Walnut Grove - Langley Township

There’s no option for zero stars so one it is! Let me explain how my curbside pick up order went today: sat outside for 15 minutes after my order should have been ready, called the restaurant to see if they were running late. I was told that they in fact did not have my order. After walking into the restaurant to see what happened I was told by the manager on duty (Glen) that sometimes ordered get bumped to a different location…… very odd. But his solution is what was really strange, I was told that I could call the other location and lie to get my money back; he told me a family emergency would maybe convince them to refund my money so that I could re order at Glens location. I was shocked that he refused to help me any further. I fully understand that technological issues happen all the time and all Glen needed to do was to offer to call the other location to explain my situation so that I would have a better chance of a refund. But instead I got an explanation about how the restaurants are franchised and he doesn’t get “credit for the sale” if he reaches out on my behalf. Truly the worst excuse for customer service I have experienced in a long time. Embarrassing for the walnut grove whitespot establishment.

They had limited serving staff for a weekend evening. Not complaining about our server she was doing what she could but more how the manager was running the place. There was tons of staff that was behind the bar taking vs clearing our plates etc We spoke to the manager saying we see our server is busy but we wanted to put in our order for food- we had young kids. He then goes and gets the server. If your restaurant is busy then maybe as a manager you should step it up and help out. There was no bussing staff and when we did ask for someone to clear our plates she said no We won’t be returning to this location.

I went for dinner with my mom and she had one of the chicken burgers and I had the legendary burgers with bacon, cheese, mushrooms, lettuce and tomatoes and my god, my mom and I both agreed that these were the best white spot burgers we’ve EVER had. The cooks name is Rico, yes we asked. They both weren’t dry and bready or soggy…and the way it all came together was perfect. My mom joked that she would drive out from north van for this burger. Rico should train people how to make burgers 5 stars

Amazing experience!! I require a service dog and the staff was exceptional. I always drive an extra 15 minutes to go to this specific location. Food is always delicious and the spot caeser is the best caeser I have had. It is clean and family oriented while still offering a private and enjoyable experience for drinks with friends. I will always come to this location!

Service is usually great and food is always consistently good. Our go to items are the Mediterranean Chicken burger, Fish & Chips (who would have thought?), White Spot Club and the beef dip. The dry ribs are excellent during appy hour as well as the Shrimp Gyoza. Updated: Service was excellent again even with reduced staff.

Honestly, the worst service I've ever gotten from whitespot. I will not return here again. We were a party of 6, waiting on one last guest. Our server came by once in 30 minutes to see if we needed anything. Asked to order my toddlers food first while we wait for our last guest. Once our order was taken, took 10 minutes to get an answer for a specific alcohol drink. Once dinner was done, asked for our bill, server passed our table multiple times chit chatting, with regulars from our guess, before realizing we are waiting to pay. She finally comes with the bill, only to say I'll be back with the machine. She again stops to chit chat. We finally got up and asked to pay our bill up front, at which list she comes running with the machine.

The hostes had a very ‘I don’t want to be here, but if I must’ kind of attitude. She brought us to the table, placed the menus down. As we got to the table, she was more or less walking away, we said thank you, and she said ‘ahhh huh.’ Um no. Be professional, wait at the table til the guests get to the yable to sit, mention the specials of the day, then walk away. Our server was polite and attentive. There was one pit fall, she could have been around a bit more when we finished our drinks to have them filled up. The menu for breakfast items were rather limited. I ordered a typical eggs, sides and toast. The cooks slapped one thing of strawberry jam on my plate. What if I had an allergy to strawberries? There wasn’t a jam/peanut butter catty at the table. My husband ordered the shrimp benny. He noticed the sauce had an over powering dill flavour. Dill should be used as a flavour enhancer. But I think White Spot gets their Hollandaise sause brought in pre made. Just saying

I haven’t been to this location in 20 years so the first thing I noticed was the renovations since. No more ugly green carpets or booths barely a step up from church benches. It’s cozy with laminate flooring and nice paintings on the walls.

The greeter did an adequate job of saying hello and showing us to our table but immediately turned her back to us and when I thanked her I got “hmmmmm” as a response.

Fortunately our server was great. She smiled while addressing us in a polite manor and seemed happy to be of service.

I ordered the Shrimp Florentine Benedict with a side of Chorizo Sausage. The Poached egg was under cooked spewing its soupy yolk across the English Muffin making it too soggy for the fork to pickup and all I could taste was dill. The Chorizo Sausage was nicely grilled but sat long enough to be room temperature by the time it was served, not like my wife’s breakfast sausage which was still hot from the pan. The shredded hash browns were tasty but not as crisp as they should have been. They now offer endless hash browns so I ordered a second serving and they came over cooked (not burnt but the inconsistency of the cooking temperature of the pan was obvious).

I went into the restaurant while my husband was parking the vehicle. I stood in front of the reception desk to put our name down. Josh, who was at the reception desk looked past me and asked the gentleman behind me for his info and then proceeded to ask the next person behind him for their info. I just raised my hands and said “excuse me” what is going on? He stated he assumed I was with another gentleman behind me. This isn’t the 1800’s anymore. A woman can go into any business without a man. I was absolutely appalled by the behaviour of a younger male employee, to be completely ignored, standing right in front of him.
Noticed he was married, good luck to his wife.

Good place to go to for lunch. Service was good and so was the food. Tried the fettuccini alfredo and it came with couple of garlic breads - good and tasty.

All in all a decent place to go to.

I have some dietary restrictions and my family has decided to go to White Spot to celebrate a birthday. I called ahead to speak with the manager to see if they would be able to accommodate me and got a flat out no. Manager was not flexible at all and I'm very disappointed. I had thought that such a big chain would happily accommodate its customers, apparently not.

I've been to this location a number of times; always a good experience. Although I'm from Alberta, White Spot is a go to place. Really enjoy the burgers here; buns are fresh, soft and a good size. Got to have the pickle! Fries are very good, get gravy on the side and yummy coleslaw; one of my favorite seasonal deserts is the blueberry pie.

Strawberry Waffle Luncheon. I was looking forward so much to a lovely Strawberry Waffle luncheon as we are frequent customers to your restaurant and never ever
had any bad experience, but today it was different I was ashamed even to call the manager how amberest he would be, my mistake not to call him, make the story short, menu reads fresh strawberries or blueberries, I ordered strawberry, since they are in season, well
on my 4 tryangle pieces of very salty waffle I must got no more than 1 berry in total cut up in little tiny peaces and no no not fresh very
very soggy tasteless, tried to explain to our lovely waitress but her comment was we'll give you next time double, let me tell you there want be no next time, specially driving out from Burnaby to Langley

Wheres the service!!!. I took my daughter into White Spot this afternoon at a very quiet time of the day 3:30pm. There were only two other table in the restaurant occupied and yet we sat there for ten to twenty minutes minutes without menus or any service from the waiter. We got sat down at a table but that was it. We finally gave up and walked out and went to The Spaghetti Factory across the parking lot. I have to say we usually are taken care of really well but this is a huge unforgivable mistake especially when I could here the staff behind are booth chatting away with no consideration to my table or any of the other tables. The Spaghetti Factory had way more tables occupied and I wouldnt be surprised if some of the customers came from White Spot.

Not far off from mcdonalds.... Went to go pick up from this place... really only because i had a gift card. placed four orders of food.. two of my orders where wrong for the sides part.. the burger i ate was layered so thick with sauce, and mayo, and rubber onions i gagged, and didnt even finish it... i still have $50 on the gift card.. definetly not going back.

Yikes. New Years Day we decided on White Spot for breakfast. Had the Classic Benedict, it was the most bland, plain, boring, tasteless Benedict I have ever eaten, I could only stomach half... barely. Would not recommend this to anyone. The English muffin was rubbery like it had been microwaved, the ham was chewy and barely warm, the egg was ok, but hey, it's just an egg and the hollandaise was just ok... and the hash browns... what the hell??? a lump of barely warmed stringy potatoes, which I sent back to have them cooked more. Awful!! BUT, the chocolate shake was good!! I do like their lunch food, the burgers are great but their breakfasts need a serious overhaul!! I'm out!!

This is definitely one of the best White Spots. I've eaten here for many, many times and have never been disappointed. Service can be hit and miss sometimes but the food is always good.

Now, I have to say, White Spot is not my favourite restaurant by far. I've kind of avoided the place since being diagnosed, since the only meal I used to like here was the Legendary Burger. Since I can't have the bun, whats the point of going? Well, we decided it was time for our son to have his first Pirate Pak. Ahhh...memories. That meant taking one for the team and going along for a meal. It is within walking distance for us. I had heard that White Spot now has a gluten free menu, so I was interested in seeing what they have to offer. Well, the menu itself was on a neon orange piece of laminated card stock, cafeteria style sans photos. Surely people, you can do better than that!! The menu is in fact quite brief, with not a lot to choose from. I decided on the steak and mashed potatoes, with seasonal veggies. My MIL who is Celiac, decided on the curry dish. Her meal arrived with a piece of bread on top....tsk tsk...apparently our waiter had not been educated on cross contamination. I
