Review Boston Pizza - Langley City

Went for a late evening dinner last Saturday. Arrived to a nearly empty restaurant and we were told there was a 20 minute wait to be seated. We just about left in disgust but then soon realized they were very understaffed trying to do their best. As we waited to be seated, many more customers arrived and several with very large numbers in their group, several skip the dishes drivers also doing pickup orders also crowded the front desk. Finally our name was called for a table for two and we were seated. We were greeted by a friendly server who apologized for the wait and took our drink and food order. We were checked on quite often and despite being understaffed our food came out fast, fresh, hot and delicious and the beer was nice and cold. What really bumped up our experience was this server who we later found out was actually the assistant manager Alicia. It was defined a stressful and busy night yet she took the time to check on us and have a nice conversation as well. She was doing an excellent job delegating, checking on customers, helping out everywhere and getting things moving along. We generally do take out and wanted to make sure we took the time to comment on our experience we received by Alicia and wouldn’t hesitate to dine in again if we see her. Great job Alicia and to the staff working that evening.

First impression wasn’t that great, they were understaffed and we waited a long time (40+ min) to be seated. We ended up being seated in the lounge with children. We weren’t impressed, but we were hungry so we made the best of it. The server Tony redeemed the experience. He was absolutely amazing and single handedly bumped my would be 2 star review up to a 4 star review. The cook staff need some recognition as well, because all our meals were tasty despite how busy they were.

Ordered dinner for pick up and unfortunately got the wrong pizza (tropical Hawaiian instead of tropical chicken). Spoke with Keith who was manager on duty and he credited the correct pizza and was so friendly, professional and just great to deal with! Thank you BPWG, doing a great job! :)

Busy group today after a hockey tournament but the servers here really hit it out of the park. They were great with the kids and everyone had a great time. Food was really good (you can't go wrong with the spicy perogi pizza), and they actually had decent beer! Great choice if you are in thr area! Highly recommended.

We visited your resteraunt 2x in last few weeks. 1st time the foor was a dirty mess with food & napkins , the pizza & service was good. We thought it might be an off night or short staffed. The 2nd time a week later the floor & the tables were littered, in fact there was food on the seat I sat in, I guess no- one had cleaned properly,keeping in mind this is a time during covid still. However we ordered & received drinks & asked server to give us 10 min with the menu, 20 min later we had to yell across the resteraunt to get a Servers attention.We ordered our food, food arrives ,1 Pizza is correct & 2nd one was wrong, they then took pizza away to fix it & left my husband's behind to get cold,15 min later brought new pizza then had to go warm up his.We were compensated by not being charged for 1 pizza. Don't really care about being compensated just wanted a couple of beers & pizza in a clean resteraunt. Not too Complicated.

Was a regular customer before COVID, this is my first time back in over a year and not the same restaurant. Arrived to a 1/4 full restaurant , waited 10min to be greated, then after being seated my family and I waited for 15 min without seeing a server to order drinks. The table next to us smiled at us got up and left saying they were seated 5 min before my family. We waited 5 additional mins then also got up and left. Not sure what to say other than the staff did not appear to want to serve anyone and we wasted 30 min of our evening.

A couple months back I came to pick up a order I placed. They messed up and told me my payment went through and I just assumed they were correct. I didn’t think anything of it then 3 hours later (close to 12 at night) they called us wanting me to come back because apparently the payment didn’t go through. I was in bed and honestly kind annoyed that they called so late, so I told them no I’m not coming back tonight. Fast forward to me and my girlfriend trying to call to place a order tonight … Apparently we are banned for life 🥲🤣 You cannot make this up.

The quality of their food and beer continues to dwindle. Yet, I can't figure out why my kids love the bugs and cheese so much.
