Review Sushico Japanese Restaurant - Langley City

Food was delicious. Sashimi was large pieces. We ordered $200 in food and the staff saw things the order that could be bundled as a combo to save money and did that for us. Service was attentive. Food came quick.

The food was generally really good with quality ingredients but the tempura potatoes could’ve used a bit more flavor

Ordered takeout for the family and one third of the order was missing. Was charged and paid for but never got one miso soup and two panko dynamite rolls. Asked the restaurant to hold off on the usual sesame seeds but the chefs still sprinkled sesame seeds everywhere on four sushi rolls. The sushi that we did get was stale and disgusting (see brownish avocado on enclosed photo). Keep your money and get your sushi elsewhere.

Excellent food, very good service. My new favorite sashimi lunch box. The atmosphere is lovely as well. Nice local business.

Excellent service with a great, quiet atmosphere. All the sushi and rolls were super fresh and flavorful with some unusual twists. I had the Sweetheart roll with super flavorful tuna. My family had various pieces of tuna sushi that all proved to be fresh, flavorful and nicely prepared. The servers were all attentive yet not oppressive, and gave some great insight to the menu, including good recommendations from a selection of sake. We didn't stay long after our meal because of theater and Knicks tickets, but felt very welcome to stay and enjoy as long as we wanted. Overall, a great dining experience.

Had lunch here late in the week. It wasn't super busy and the service was fast and efficient. We each ordered a main, which comes with a starter of miso soup. We also asked for a plate of vegetable tempura for the table. The servings were large. I put aside my soup figuring it was going to spoil my appetite. Good decision. The bowl of rice, cabbage and chicken that arrived could have fed 2 people as it was. But wanting to dip into the tempura as well meant there was going to be a fair amount left over. No problem. Just ask for a container and you can take the leftovers home. We did and they were well received by a room mate. Delicious!

I came for lunch today and was sat right away. I knew exactly what I wanted so I didn’t need a menu and he took my order right away. He instantly came back with my drinks and a miso soup. Despite the fact that they had a handful of other tables including a large party, I recieved the rest of my food within 4 minutes! I ate my food and finished my drink and I was in and out in 25 minutes. 12/10 recommend.

I don’t find myself out in Langley very often… and don’t even get me started on the City of Langley vs the Township of Langley. But we found ourselves in the area one weekend while shopping at one of the large garden centres and we needed to grab a bite to eat. Sushico is a Japanese restaurant (duh) that’s located in one of the large strip malls in the City of Langley. The interior is quite spacious (especially compared with the Japanese restaurants in Vancouver) with tall and airy ceilings and tables spaced out appropriately. We decided to try their special lunch boxes: the Sushi and Sashimi Lunch Box ($17) and the Spicy Sashimi Lunch Box ($16) which included rice, gyoza, tempura, California roll, and miso soup.

LOVED THIS PLACE! Hubby took me there as a surprise. Best sushi I have had since being in Canada. It is not authentic sushi but man they have some really good options, the one I had, had bacon. Was so good, definitely going back after pregnancy :(

Absolutely enjoyed my visit. Ordered Alaska roll, Awesome Roll, and Dynamite roll. Each roll was delicious. The ingredients were fresh, well balanced and the rice was perfectly moist. Perfection.
Yes. We,re Eating Again.
I like this place. It is sleek, attractive and comfortable. Staff seem to be friendly enough and prices seem to be similar to other places. On my first visit, I tried the sushi lunch box. Miso soup and a refreshing Sunomono Salad  with plenty of noodles came first. Then the tempura, California roll, gyoza and nigiri. All were tasty and I particularly enjoyed the nigiri. Well prepared and firm fish and just enough tasty rice. On my next visit, I tried the Japanese seafood pancake. It is something different (there are a lot of different and interesting dishes here) and very enjoyable. It was not like a Korean pancake but not your breakfast pancake either. Moist and a fair bit of octopus and other, with tasty toppings (bonito, Japanese mayo and ponzu(?)) that really made the dish. I had a couple of pieces of nigiri on the side; Ikura (salmon roe) which popped nicely and was not fishy and Tai ((snapper) which was firm and excellent. I also had the Oyako donburi (I always order too much) which was rich and full of egg and chicken goodness. It was a generous portion. Apparently now in Chilliwack also, You could definitely do worse!

I was quickly learning that the food scene in Langley wasn’t as diverse as it is in Vancouver. However, what Langley has is a strong presence of chain restaurants, and speaking with many locals they concurred with my observations. I was on the Langley bypass around 200th, looking for lunch; and my choices included familiar names like “Whitespot”, “Quiznos”, “Montana’s”, and “Milestones”, just to name a few. But the blogger in me was craving something more unique to write about. Something without multiple locations, and that search led to “Sushi Co.”, ironically with a not so unique name, exterior or decor for that matter.

Quality Japanese cuisine in a modern style decor setting. Everything tastes fresh. That's important when it involves raw seafood! It's located next to Chapters and Starbucks too so there you go!

Best part about this place is their lunch boxes. They include more than your average bento box. Prices of the boxes aren't too pricey, but I've found cheaper. Prices on other things are outrageously high unfortunately. For example a order of spicy tuna roll is a whopping $5! Average price I would say is $3.50, anymore than that is just too much. Overall a decent sushi place, more for lunch than anything.

Coming home from work and needing some money, so I stopped by the bank and checked them out. Ordered the sashimi dinner box, started off OK. The sashimi appie good, would have preferred sockeye, but portions generous. Box very good and filling, only down side is the dry rice.

The service at this restaurant was horrible. Bringing beer bottles with the caps still on, not coming to check on us on a regular basis. We had to constantly flag someone to come to our table for more food and alcohol. Even our server went to clean the bathroom at the end of her shift and then left the restaurant without one word to us. And the other server would walk by our table with dirty dishes and just look at them. We had to ask for them to be cleared. Not impressed. The food was decent otherwise

Very good. We had the $25 Dinner Set - lots of food - Perfect and really really good. Tempura was perfect. Every item we had was excellant and we felt it was the perfect amount of food and timed perfectly. Course after Course.<br/>They were training a waiter..... The new server I feel had no pervious experience... with the atomoshpere being higher end , as well as the food. They should be hiring better staff.... if they did, this place would be packed. We will be back.

Sashimi arrived last!. I went there for a birthday party lunch. We had a group of 8 people. Everybody arrived there around 12:30-12:45 pm, the server took our orders by 1:15 pm, and our first dish came out in about 30-35 minutes. The food was tasty, the tempura was divine, as was the crazy boy roll. The main gripe we all had was how long it took for first dish to arrive especially the sashimi. It not only arrived last(for a dish that has the least amount of preparation) we even had to send it back for the tough and weird taste that it had. I can agree that if one person had a bad experience with sashimi, but the whole plate of "deluxe" sashimi was sampled by our whole group and needless to say we were all less than impressed. I'm glad that the manager came out and apologized for the sashimi and she gave us a complimentary salmon sashimi dish at no charge. All in all it was an ok experience. If the group was smaller maybe our food would have arrived earlier. I'm not giving them an excuse. We arrived just after their lunch rush; there was no excuse to have such slow service especially since In the whole restaurant we were the 4th group in there. I would only recommend this place if you have incredible patience and aren't that hungry to begin with. Otherwise stay away. Oh one more thing, the service from the servers was pleasant, they were a cheery bunch, just a bit absent minded when it came to refilling teas, waters, juice, pop, and wasabi.

After several visits I have to say I really enjoy this place. Great interior with smiling happy servers. Never any delays in service. I have watched some rude rednecks treat the Asian staff poorly though. Thank for the great food and atmosphere!

Worst customer service!. I went there with a couple of friends on Friday night ordered 3 rolls cali roll, yam roll and dynamite roll. The yam roll was hard and not fully cooked so I sent it back. After about 15 min when we were finished eating I asked if I would be getting another yam roll they said they had 2 other orders that they had to make first even though we were there way before these other orders were placed. They told me they would take off $4 but there was no apology the girl that was working there told us she was not our server so it was not her problem! I will never eat at this Sushico restaurant ever again bad food and bad service!!!

Fresh and yummy. Went in for lunch yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at how fresh this sushi joint is! Definitely a step up from the other sushi places in Langley.
