First of all this place was open on New Years Day! Wasn't expecting too much, I was so surprised. The food and staff are AMAZING! They use wild salmon for the sashimi, dinner boxes were a decent size and really tasty, the sunomono wasn't too sweet, presented nicely, service was quick. The only downside is that the restaurant is very small. My kamakazi roll was perfection!

Nice fresh sushi, and quick take-out service. Only got a couple of standard rolls on this trip, but look forward to trying some others. Everything coming out looked fantastic, can't wait to give them another try!
Placed an order for take-out and it was ready quick! Delicious food and decent portions! They also gave me a few pieces of sushi for free! Would definitely come back but for dine in next time.
They came to the rescue! After waiting 1 1/2hr next door for our food which we order the night before. Akane gave us fast and delicious sushi, including a Christmas freebie! Thank you for saving our Christmas Eve dinner!
Best Sushi in Langley along with Noma Sushi which is a little more expensive. Isn't the biggest selection for special rolls but I love ordering the sushi & sashimi box and the assorted sushi combo both under $15

My coworker and I usually call Akane, reserve a table and preorder the food before we go for lunch, so it will be quick for us to arrive and eat at the restaurant quickly. We do these all the time. Orders are always well taken care of! That's great! Food came out right after we arrived. We could eat the food right away. The restaurant or chef always makes some samples for us to try. The sushi or many dishes are delicious.
We are surprised that we can find a good Japanese restaurant with good quality of food in Langley!

The Best By Far!. The best sushi by far! I travel all over north america and have found no place that has better sushi than Akane. I enjoy the food and the service ever time I stop in and high recommend eating here.
Average Sushi. Based on all the positive reviews, I had higher expectations. The service was very friendly and the food came out super fast. However it was just your average Japanese / Sushi place.
This is our FAVOURITE sushi restaurant! Always super fresh, friendly staff and when you order they usually throw a few extra pieces in for you! Can't beat free sushi! Highly recommended
Akane is the best sushi in the lower mainland. I drive 900 km twice a year just for their sushi after moving to Alberta 3 years ago. I have eaten in their restaurant at least 100 times over the past 5-6 years and I have never had a bad experience the sushi man and his wife are always kind and remember their customers you just don't get that kind of respect and great service in most restaurants these days. The food is always fresh always tastes amazing and prepared with care. I recommend the spicy scallop roll, the crazy boy roll and their beef teriyaki is incredible!

Awesome place to stumble into!. Was looking for some good sushi in Langley and found it! The food kicked *** service was super friendly, the chefs were calm and smiley. They even have us to pieces of a roll to try, and it was great! Definitely recommending and returning !

Great Sushi. There are a ton of sushi places around Langley now and This one is still my favourite. The family running it are SO friendly, and they usually give a chef's special role with your order which is a great touch. If take out is taking a little long many times the've given me watermelon or something little to munch on which is also an awesome touch. They care about their customers and make fresh, great sushi. I'm always impressed with them. It may not be the same as sushi in Vancouver, but this little gem is phenomenal!
Amazing sushi and great prices!. The food is always delicious and fresh (both eat in and take out), and they almost always give us a little extra chef's special role when we eat in. Such a nice touch! The staff are helpful and friendly, we've never had any issues with wait time etc.

Great sushi!. This is our favourite sushi place in Langley. This might not be saying much if you're used to having sushi in Vancouver, but if you're in Langley and you want sushi, then this is definately the right place. The interior is fairly plain, but the food is great.
One of my favourites. I live just down the road from Akane, and I visit there almost every week. It's a fabulous place, with very friendly people and outstanding sushi, no matter what you have. I recommend it to everyone.
What an amazing little gem! It was open later than my usual sushi place, so we tried them out, and the prices are fantastic to what I'm used to and the portions were very nice and was delish!! 5 stars!

The more you go out for lunch in the city, the more you realize how many Japanese spots exist in midtown.
It's almost like a copy-paste situation, but Akane offers something just right. A more social atmosphere, with quick service especially for larger groups, and lunch specials that are fairly priced for the area.
Give the carbs a break and order the chirashi, a secret to avoiding food coma back at the office!
Super restaurant. Excellent service, people there are so nice. Small, friendly, cozy, welcoming. Menu has a great variety. I just love it.
