Review Ra Sushi - Langley City

Super friendly staff. Food is good. Unagi roll and agedashi tofu were very good. Spicy tuna rolls have mushed up tuna though, unfortunately.

Used to be our favorite go to place when it was RA. Sadly they are gone. Went to there tonight hoping for our usual and saw it was under new Management and a new name. Too bad! It was quality food with great service. always treated our family really well. Probably why Chris Papp had a really bad experience last time he was there. New place “Sushi I” service was so so but the food was a 1 out of 5. I really tried my best to not be critical and treated it like just a new place we were trying. And like all new places I try. If the food and service is good I go back. I’m not going back.....

One of my favorite sushi places, I still stop there when I can even tho I’ve moved out of Langley! When ordering to go I would double check to make sure all the sauces are there (they have been missing once or twice) and it would be great if they could get some gluten free soy sauce. But overall it’s a great place to eat!

I am eating here now, I've ordered the salmon maki, dynamite roll with real crab and yam tempura roll. All taste delicious! The rice is not too sticky sweet or salty, it's perfect. It's the best rice I've tasted for sushi. The salmon is fresh as well as the rest of ingredients. The tea is probably the best tasting tea I've tried at a sushi restaurant! I'm so impressed :) the service is friendly and the music is actually nice background music!

Ordered to go items couple of hours ahead and a staff told I can pick up at 1330 but finally picked it up an hour later. Was not even in regular lunch hour. Seems all of staffs are not organized includes kitchen staff. Food taste, price and quality is not that great. Fish was not fresh and rice wasn't soft(bit uncooked) The amount of food as well. I don't think I go to this restaurant again in the future even I live very close by. Not recommended!

From the excellent customer service I have received every time I have been to Ra sushi to the best sushi I have had in greater vancouver hands down. I would recommend Ra sushi to anyone who enjoys sushi. The presentation and creative colourful rolls always surprise me to something new and flavour combinations. The fish is fresh, they even will use brown rice for a healthily choice if you like or brown and wild rice. I've never had a more consistent fabulous meal with customer service excellent again and again at a restaurant before, till I experienced Ra sushi. I would rate Ra sushi the number 1 sushi restaurant in the Fraser valley!!!!!!

It is always a pleasure to go to RA for sushi. The staff are excellent, friendly and from our frequent visits have gotten to know us. The food is always fresh and delicious. The service always pleasant. An all around great little local place to go and enjoy sushi! Highly recommend it.

The team at Ra Sushi have treated us like family for the last 7 years. Terrific, consistently high quality food is always served, and the servers are always super friendly and pleasant. A great friend told us after moving to Walnut Grove that Ra is 'The Only Place that you need to know for the best sushi in town'. He was right then and he's still right!

Planned for a night in with dinner and a movie. I have severe allergies to wasabi and ginger. I made two separate orders so they would not package my sushi with my friends and accidentally put in ginger and wasabi. When I placed my order I made it very clear about these allergies he said okay and it is no problem to not add those two ingredients. When I got home and went to eat I opened up my sushi and there was wasabi and ginger in my sushi and it was all over it. I called to see what they could do and the guy didn't know what to do the only response I could get out of him was "oh....... Uhhhhhhhh...... Sorry it won't happen next time." Or "let me talk to my manager to see what I can do and I will call you back" I gave it 20 mins before calling back only to have the guy tell me he doesn't know what to do. And a lot more "oooohhhhh, uhhhhhhhh" answers. I asked to speak to the manager and he said he would get him to call me back. Still waiting......1 hour later still no call. I am upset because I spent $40 on sushi that I can't even eat due to allergies.

Excellent sushi every time. With so many sushi restaurants out there, it's always nice to find a go to. It *is* a bit pricier but, as they say, you get what you pay for.

Went to Ra Sushi for the first time today for lunch take out. I got the Lunch Box A and it was amazing. Huge portion, and it was delicious. The service was extremely friendly, and quick. All in all I was very impressed and will definitely be going back!

I went to Ra Sushi for the first time to order take-out while I was on my lunch break and they were very quick, super friendly and even gave me tea to drink while I waited. The food was very good and I'll definitely be going back!

Food taste is meh at best. Service is bleh at best. Went there once because Akane was closed that day and have regretted it since. The servings are small and the taste is definitely not worth the price. Also saw one of the employees getting publically humilated by the owner. Would not suggest.

Got take out from here a couple days ago and they were very quick and the food was great! The place itself was very nice on the inside but a little tight.

Just okay.. The food portion is small. mediocre taste. probably wouldn't come here again unless it's for convenience. I think the reviewers previously are quite fair about the food taste.

Terrible food and service. Akane sushi and sushi avenue down the street use ALL wild salmon. This places charges so much for wild salmon subs.
My raw fish in my sushi was frozen solid and when I told the woman working there, she shrugged and said the fish come frozen!!!!! Lol I have never heard of a worse excuse lol. She didn't take it away nor offer another unfrozen piece. That was the last time I went there. Akane and sushi avenue have much better service and the quality of the food is much better.

Consistently Good. Good quality sushi and sashimi with some interesting house specials. Low on decor and ambiance, think stripmall chic. Service has always been terrifc, friendly and quick. Good spot for lunch.

Horrible Experience. My colleague and I stopped by this joint on our way back from a trade show hoping for some decent sushi. I had high hopes because of the ratings on Urbanspoon but was appalled at everything here from the food to the service. I ordered a nabeyaki udon that came WITHOUT any prawn tempura and it reeked of burnt pot...you know that ashy burnt taste that infiltrates the whole pot of soup or broth when you leave it on the stove too long? When I politely explained, the lady working there actually scoffed back at me saying that she can't smell it and that my colleague wasn't complaining about hers (but hers was a ramen, which has an entirely different broth!!). When she took it away finally she never asked what else I wanted to order instead so while my colleague finished her meal I had to wait an extra 15mins to flag her down and then put in my order for the same ramen she had since I didn't want to try and be adventerous anymore with the menu. Also, we had some sushi and rolls which resembled the quality of 7-11 boxed sushi no joke. I couldn't understand why this place had such good reviews...then I realized I was in Fort Langley and this must be the only decent place for Japanese food so everyone thinks it's authentic but it's actually an overpriced low quality joint run by Koreans with horrible customer service skills. Never returning again.

All Around Best Sushi in Langley. We are sushi fanatics and have tried many different sushi places in Langley and the Lower Mainland. We always seem to regret dining at other places and end up going back to Ra Sushi in Walnut Grove. The food is always fresh and delicious. The staff remember their customers. It's a great sushi place.

Best sushi in Langley. I don't go to any other sushi restaurants besides this one. The owner does not skimp out when it comes to sashimi. Good services. They're always super super busy cuz everyone knows it's the best sushi restaurant in langley, and they keep coming back for more. I'd recommend the mexican roll. the housemade special sauce was none like i've had before. Even for simple sashimi affair, this place is definitely worth the visit (and more!) I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for sushi in langley.

Horrible service..waited half an hour to get a glass of water or menu!
when the food came it was gross and not fresh..my dynamite roll was cold when tempura is supposed to be warm and made fresh. smallest sashimi pieces as well. no compensation for the bad service or food when I brought it up even mentioned it was only my second time there and I live close..guess they don't want consistent well paying business. they never came by to check on us and left our dishes on our table as they kept walking past.
there's A LOT of better sushi places in town! don't stop here!

Best sushi in North Langley. I have tried every sushi place in North Langley and Ra Sushi is the best of a very good group. It has a very simple layout and is relatively small but when we have a client coming into town and want to have a nice working lunch this is the place we take them.

RA RA SUSHI SUSHI. This place is excellent ! Great sushi and fresh sashimi. I have been to probably every sushi place in Vancouver and and all over the lower mainland and this is definitely a top one !

Very Tasty sushi. This restaurant is a great addition to the Langley sushi scene. Their prices are one of the best bangs for your buck, I can NEVER finish a bento box that I get for take out, and I have a large appetite. Its fresh, and always very tasty. I'm a big fan of their spicy tuna rolls, and the Gyoza bento box. I'm not a fan of their miso soup which I find lacking in flavour, but it could be that i'm used to very westernized japanese, perhaps its more traditional? Overall the staff are very friendly, Ive only ever done take out so I'm not sure how their in house serivice is but its always quick for to-go. I wouldn't reccoment the chicken teriyaki as I found the chicken a little on the fatty and grisly side and I think its deep fried or something before hand which for me I'm not a fan of. The beef teriyaki on the other hand is great. Its a great little place!
