Review Shiraz Grill - Langley City

Shiraz Grill is an outstanding Persian-Italian restaurant. Started with the deep fried calamari, the batter and squid was light, crisp, and enticing. We decided to focus on the Persian offerings on the menu for lunch. The meat they source is top notch, certified organic meat. The kebob plates were perfectly seasoned and grilled, and it goes well with the saffron rice. Would visit again to enjoy the rest of their menu. Each bite reels you in for seconds. The portioning is adequate and was comfortably full by the end. The service was exceptional. Both Waiter and management checked in on our table to assure if the food is okay. Water topped up consistently. I couldn't ask for a better service. I wish all restaurants would strive for this level of excellence.

Wow! I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars as it's hands down the best Persian restaurant I've ever tried in lower mainland. This spot never disappoints. They have fresh dishes for convenient rates. The staffs are so kind. They serve an awesome tea. The food quality is very good. Thanks Nancy

Amazing food and service We got gifted a gift certificate to try out this gem of a restaurant. My wife and myself were extremely delighted It lived up to my friends recommendation. We ordered the Shiraz special and it was a fantastic way to sample a variety of meats . The eggplant Dip is a great starter.

We were seated right away, as it wasn’t busy when we got there. Food was very delicious!We ordered both beef and chicken kebob and they were sooo tasty and tender! The calamari with tzatziki sauce was bomb! Highly recommend!

Wooow!! I can’t say how much I loved this restaurant and its food!! There is a lady there named Sufi I guess, she is so lovely and amazing person! I was starving and she didn’t even let me feel that by chatting with me the whole time that I was waiting for my order to get ready.

I'm a pretty decent home cook, so when I dine out, I'm frequently disappointed by paying top dollar for something I could easily have done better myself. Especially pasta dishes. NOT at this place. The quality is top notch. Everyone at the table of 4 was very pleased with their meals, not the least of which was me and my Lamb Shank with Risotto. There is clearly a talented kitchen staff, and the front of house is equal to chefs. Try the Kalamari for a new spin on an old favorite. It will make all the others seem like food court fast food. The ambiance is just the way a fine dining place should be. The quality is reflected in the prices, but worth it, in this diner's opinion.

Dropped by tonight for the first time while celebrating a friends birthday. Drove by saw it and very happy we made the choice to try it out. We shared 4 delicious appys a bottle of wine and a dessert. We will certainly go again...and happy to find out all their food is organic. I would definitely recommend it

My wife's a chef and it's hard to go out to eat where she isn't disappointed. Shiraz is Authentic middle eastern food that brings all the combinations and flavors to life. I believe they are from Shiraz Iran and you can taste the authenticity of their food and we are blessed that they share it with us. People drive long distances to come here because it's worth it.

We drived there for 45 minuets from North Vancouver as I have heard of this place in Iranian community a lot. A lady ( seems owner not a waitress) refuses to seat us as we were with our 2 years old son. She said that they don't have any facility for kids and it's a fine dining place. All the table are reserved after 5pm while we had gotten there 4pm. She added waiting time for the food is long(40minutes) and it's not fair to a kid to wait such a long time for a meal!!!

Had to wait nearly an hour to get the main course. The calamari appetizer also took close to half an hour and was subpar. The kabobs, however, were great: juicy, tender and well seasoned. The texture was absolutely lovely. Overall, a pleasant experience but I probably won't return.

The restaurant has a great food the grills the kabab koobide was delicious and the service was good , the atmosphere was friendly and the staff were very good

What a find!! Found Shiraz on this app. Went in with 5 of us. The service, the menu and of course the food was fantastic. We were all very skeptical about what to expect but we're all pleasantly surprIsed. The decor of the restaurant. The music. And the owner. All beautiful. Can't wait to go back!!

The food here is 10/10, wait scratch that 11/11 because I wish I could have more. Usually I don't leave reviews but with a combination of a great wait staff who makes you feel at home and food that makes you WANT to make it your home this place is a great eat and find for anyone. Doesn't matter if you are in the area or not this is a must try, go get the risotto because trust me you won't regret it. If Napoleon's words were true and an Army marches on its stomach, this food would have changed the battle of waterloo hands down!

This is the best fine dining place in the area. I've only been twice but loved both times. Great staff and and chicken kabob and rice were awesome. This place has a downtown feel in Langley which is nice

husband and I love this place. service is very prompt and eager to please. it is a bit pricey ,so,we choose it for special occasions and always greatly pleased and stuffed when we leave. wishing them many successful years to come.  Kebabs are excellent.

My friends and I are always looking for new places to have dinner, we found Shiraz grill online and tried it for the first time last night. Absolutely amazing. I had salmon bacon risotto, my friend had the saffron chicken kabobs. Food was cooked perfectly and service was great. The owner came over and started chatting with us, extremely friendly. I'll definitely be back!

Very nice interior decorating and atmosphere. Food was excellent. Had the eggplant dip for an appy, had some smokiness to it that was quite unique. Had a chicken kabob and arugula salad for main, amazing vinaigrette and the chicken was excellent, tender and well flavored. It was also quite a decent amount of chicken which was nice to see. Excellent restaurant.

I've been to thousands of restaurants across Canada. My 36 year career has taken me to the best and to some not so good from St. Johns Nfld to Pt. Hardy BC and everywhere in between. My brother and his wife introduced Shiraz Grill to my wife and I about 3 months ago. My bro and his wife 'live to eat' and have exceptional taste, literally. For good reason they declared that this was the best restaurant they have ever dined at. I have to agree. Exceptional food, presentation, customer service and ambiance. Service was nicer than nice, but most importantly, the food was magnificent and the servings were very generous. In the last 3 months, my wife and I have introduced a number of friends who feel the same way. We have been there about nine times, and expect to go a lot more. I look forward to going through the menu in order to start again (Hint: the tenderloin is amazing). I recently told the owners that I would like to bring two dear friends who are strict vegans. They said that they can easily accommodate but recommended that I give them a heads up so that they could prepare something special. I just made a reservation for Friday, and am anxiously looking forward to another great evening. In my opinion, this should be classified as 'fine dining' rather than the 'casual' I saw somewhere. However, the prices are extremely fair and the servings are more than ample. Maybe they have to charge more and reduce the size of the serving to get the 'fine dining' entitlement.<br/><br/>BTW this is my first crack at writing a review for anything, but these folks deserve it. Please forgive me if I ramble. Do try it and I truly hope you enjoy it as much as we have.

One of the best restaurants I've been to in the lower mainland. Anywhere for that matter. Tried several different dishes as we were a large group and nothing disappointed. Even the pasta. Definitely recommend it for a visit.

Persia has come to Langley!!!. My girlfriend and I were in DT Langley last week and were looking for something tasty and different and more classy than your average joint in Langley. We stumbled across Shiraz which from the outside looked like a very clean classy establishment. We entered inside and were pleasantly surprised to see that it was indeed very classy. The place has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere with great works of art on the walls. NOW the food... we ordered the chefs special and got the BEST looking and tasting cabobs, with lamb, chicken and an array of other delicious meats. The food was beautifully presented like art and it tasted 10 times as good!! The portions were excellent and the service was over the top. The owner was very gentle and accommodating. You could feel the love in the place and that they were doing it out of love. Afterwards we ordered 2 deserts which was the sticky toffee cake and tiramisu!! Both were out of this world! Over all we loved the atmosphere, the food, the service. Would recommend a million times over! Finally Langley has got some class.

Customer. I can say that's the best restaurant in Langley. The food is served in a very huge portion ( non of us couldn't finish the good) one dish easly can be split for two , and not just big portion but very tasty , a nice touch of Iranian spices very well combined togheder totally different . I highly recommend this restaurant .

Fantastic meal. The smoked salmon appetizer was perfect and the chicken kabobs were the best I have had. The food is obviously prepared with much care and creativity

Mouth watering!!. Went today for the first time with my fiancé the food was mouth watering and delicious. We both had the lamb with risotto and it was to die for!! The staff were so nice and friendly and were able to accommodate our gluten free request no problem. We will be back for sure and will be bringing our friends and family!!!

Amazed!. I ordered calamari, garden salad and the pesto gnocchi. <br/>The calamari was perfectly cooked and crispy, the salad came in a beautiful bowl and the dressing was perfect. The pesto gnocchi was the star! Homeade and totally amazing! I couldn't stop eating!

Delicious food! Great ambiance for a relaxed yet romantic evening. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The owner is super friendly and the staff is attentive.

The food is amazing. You can order any food from a simple spaghetti, to a dish of many great meats and appies. <br/>The service is amazing. The servers are very pleasant, and the owners even came out to say hi! <br/>The tzatziki and bread is amazing! <br/>Would recommend this restaurant to families, date nights and any big group.

Quality is unmatched!. I've been to this restaurant about 5 times now and have always left full and impressed at the amazing quality of the food. Everything is made in house. Simply amazing. My wife heard about this place from her boss. Man am I glad we went. Amazing food and atmosphere. The owner personally came and asked us how the meal was. I had the fetuccini alfredo and my wife had the spinach and cheese tortellini. Superb. Perfect serving sizes too. I felt comfortably full after my meal. Highly recommend you give this place a visit. You will not be dissapointed.

Strange combo of Persian and Italian food but good persian food. We love our Persian food so we used to frequent to Iranian restaurants in North Van. Because we currently live in Langley, we decided to to try Shiraz Grill. Their food and services were great! Only thing is that the food is a bit more expensive than other Iranian restaurants that we go but it has nice classy setting and good service. Def will go back.

Fabulous!!!. We happened to find this place online. It was a great find. The food was fabulous, service was very personable and professional. I have told at least 10 people about the fabulous food and we are looking forward to our next night out at Shiraz. I expect it will become a regular dinner spot for us.

Superb all the way!!!. Have visited Shiraz on numerous occasions since they opened. Each time the food has been fantastic and the service excellent. They make all their dishes from scratch and the quality reflects that. Their Shiraz burger is one of my favorites, but all their dishes are superb. Can't say enough good things about the food or the nice people who work there!!!

One of my new favorites. The atmosphere is elegant and approachable. The service was attentive and friendly as if they already know you. The food was excellent, great traditional Persian dishes tasty and authentic. I can't wait to eat through the whole menu.

Fantastic!. My wife and I made a reservation to try this place out and we were not disappointed. Started off with the Shiraz Garlic Prawns in white wine sauce which were amazing. Nice presentation and the sauce was great for dipping the provided bread in to. Every morsel was delicious! Now on to the main course...my wife had the Chicken Kebob and I decided on the Vaziri Kebob which consisted of one skewer Chicken Kebob and one skewer Koobideh Kebob. We both opted for having the basmati rice and salad combination with our respective meals. Once we finished with the appetizer the Chef himself brought our entrees to the table and asked how the appetizer was as well as telling us to enjoy our meal. Again...every mouthful was delicious. Very good use of fresh ingredients, herbs and spices with excellent flavour throughout. All the meat was tender and the basmati rice was incredibly fluffy and light. All in all, couldn't ask for better service or the right level of attention....everyone was friendly and courteous. Will be coming back very soon and would not hesitate to recommend the Shiraz Grill to anyone.

Yummm. Very tasty, great food, great people. We had a sharing platter for lunch today with beef kebab, chicken, steak and lamb. Dee-lish. And I'm married to a Persian and therefore feel like I know my Persian food. If you've never had kebab with sumac (a sour spice that just makes things taste freaking great), you're missing out. <br/><br/>Try Shiraz. I dare ya.

Great food and atmosphere!. Living in Surrey doesn't give much opportunity to try some of the more interesting cuisines out there . I had lunch today at the Shiraz Bar & Grill for the first time and treated to something delicious, fresh ingredients and a very attentive owner. Nicely presented dishes and beautiful flavours. I also tried the saffron ice cream with is a TREAT. I would recommend this to anyone that wants a change in the regular boring fare that is out there.

Amazing Persian food. Just had dinner here for the first time, and absolutely loved it. I wanted to try out several of the kebob dishes, so I ordered the platter that had two koobideh kabobs, a chicken kabob, two lamb loin chops, and a chenjeh kabob. The owner was very nice and, since it was my first visit, brought me their special, homemade tzatziki dipping sauce with pita on the house. The main platter came with perfectly made rice (fluffy and flavorful) and salad. I couldn't eat it all in one sitting, but I tried every type of kabob, and they were all amazingly made. I especially liked the koobideh kabobs, which are some of the best tasting kabobs I've had in a very long time. Finally ordered some dessert at the end in the form of a saffron-flavored ice-cream. You could tell that was homemade too; fresh and not too sweet, with the right amount of saffron in it. Overall, I absolutely loved the meal. It was a bit more expensive than the restaurants I usually go to, but definitely worth it.

Awesome!. I cannot say we were surprised? We read many reviews, but still Leary? Not any more! The food was huge, favorable, interesting, checked in with other customers that were enjoying their deserts (as we were leaving with our wonderful leftovers) all they said; OMG: we will be back! The location is excellent, easy parking, this is a must try restaurant! I want to add we at in the 55-60 year old range, and were delighted with the family atmosphere, we will be back, the menu jumps out and says, we must try that the next time...5 stars!!!!

Brilliant new dining location in Langley - a must try!. I cannot recommend Shiraz enough. The owners are committed to never compromising on the quality of their ingredients and menu or on their service to their guests, and it shows each and every time. Without fail each time we have visited Shiraz we received a fantastic experience with a delicious meal full of authentic, well balanced flavours that also gave us great value for our limited budget. <br/><br/>Tonight I had the Lamb Loin Kebab, beautifully seasoned, with a light salad and fluffy basmati rice topped with a hint of saffron. My girlfriend enjoyed the lobster ravioli covered in a scrumptious in house made cream sauce. We finished the meal with their home made baklava served with a saffron infused gelato that the owner makes herself and is absolutely to die for. Two cups of organic Persian earl grey completed this perfect outing. <br/><br/>I want to thank Nancy, an owner and our server this evening, for her personal touch to our experience tonight. You and the rest of your staff really have something special at Shiraz, my girlfriend and I will be back very soon!

Top Quality Persian. If you like top quality food with in house fresh ingredients this is the place everything is made fresh from scratch I think even Gordon Ramsey would like this place

Fresh and delicious. Wow. I highly recommend this place. Food is so fresh. Flavours jump out. Chicken and beef dish I had was so tender I didn't need a knife. I will definitely be coming back. The owner is very friendly and takes pride in the menu.

Everything is great!. The food was terrific, I had the chicken kabob and the flavour was wonderful and it was cooked to perfection. As was the rice. Loved the ice cream as well. The baklava was awesome too. Service was good, just the right amount without hanging over you. I would highly recommend this place.

Great Place. Tried this place for the first time and it definitely lives up to the reviews, I had the Soltani Kebab and it was great, the rice was done to perfection and the presentation on the plate was nice. Good service without being overly attentive. I respect the owner's idea of shying away from advertising and building her reputation on word of mouth. I hope this place can succeed, we were missing a place like this in Langley. Highly Recommended.

Absolutely Delicious!. We had heard there was a new Persian food restaurant in Langley so we made the trip from New Westminster and it was totally worth it. The food was excellent, the owners were very friendly and helpful and the portions large. I'm going to tell all my friends to come check this place out and we'll be back soon and often.

Great place to take a date and warm hearted people. The food is savoury and delishious and there is a stage outside where a few movies were being filmed!

Great Atmosphere. I have been to Shiraz Grill, multiple times now with my friends. I must say, great atmosphere, good food, and servers is always on top of it. Its something new and different that you can't find in Langley now in days. But I would certainly recommend this place, to anyone who likes Iranian and or Italian food... As well, I always thought that Iranian food would be spicy, and let me tell you its not! It has some amazing herbs that they add to the Kebabs, which make it so tenderly and tasty. Wine is a little pricey, but for the portion that I ordered totally worth it!

The owner came to our table and told us that she would prefer if we made a reservation next time because it would be more convenient for her if we made a reservation. The restaurant had one table when we entered. I don't even care about the food at this point, I found that incredibly rude and will never come back. I can spend my money elsewhere.

Good stuff!. Had the Mirza Ghasemi(sp?) appy..a bit different and very good. Also has their burgers and fries and they were excellent! They had the wrong buns but server quickly explained the issue to our satisfaction. Great service and great food. I was worried the other reviews were a bit too positive and were perhaps plants but...they are correct.. High hopes for this place to do very well!

We tried several of the appetizers and kabob entrées. Delicious food with great flavors and range of spice and sweet to satisfy any palate. The sauces for the pastas are very enjoyable as well. Very inviting, articulately designed interior by owner. Highly recommend for an enjoyable dinning evening out:)

Simply delicious!. My wife and I have eaten at a variety of Italian and Persian restaurants throughout the Lower Mainland. I am 1/2 Italian and my wife is Persian. We shared a Persian dish as well as an Italian dish at Shiraz along with dessert and they were all fabulous!<br/><br/>Without question we highly recommend this restaurant for its friendly service and exquisite cuisine. We plan to experience another dining pleasure at Shiraz in the very near future.

Awesome Persian food!. I was invited to dinner by a Persian friend, and I'd never had Persian food so I was open to try something new but worried too....the food was fantastic! The different kind of meat kebobs were so flavourful with delicious spices and so tender. The rice is a specialty made with Zaffron? so good, and the appetizers...I forget the name but an eggplant mixture with lots of fresh garlic...so delicious, had never tasted anything like that before. Everything was so fresh,and the atmosphere is quiet and soothing...except for my table...I will definitely be a regular here as the food is of superb quality and the prices are of true value for such a great meal! Desserts are made on site...no store bought frozen desserts! Try them all, I did!

This was an awesome find from my friend who visited this place for Father’s Day a few weeks ago. He promised to bring me there, and I’m glad he did. Shiraz Grill is an Italian and Iranian restaurant serving delicious kebabs, and pastas in the heart of downtown Langley. There were 4 of us, so we just ordered 2 Chef’s Specials. Below is just one of them for about $50.
