Review Browns Socialhouse - Langford

There, my friend and I had a delicious meal. Along with fish and chips, we had an Alfredo. They recommended to bring both meals in two portions since we wanted to share, which we really appreciated. There is no doubt that we will return and make even more unforgettable memories.

I recently dined at Brown Social House and wanted to share my experience. Overall, my visit had its ups and downs, with some aspects of the meal being enjoyable while others fell short of expectations. Let's start with the positives. The steak frites that I ordered were delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender, and full of flavor. The accompanying fries were crispy and seasoned just right. I thoroughly enjoyed this dish and would highly recommend it to steak lovers. However, my friend’s experience with the chicken dish was disappointing. The chicken was excessively salty, making it difficult to savor the flavors. When we brought this to the attention of our attentive waitress, she was quick to respond and offered to replace the chicken breast with a grilled alternative. Regrettably, the replacement chicken breast had a bitter taste, which was equally unappetizing. At that point, we decided to abandon the chicken dish, brought it home and see how we can make it edible. It was unfortunate that the second attempt to rectify the issue did not yield a satisfactory outcome. One area that could use improvement is the attention given to the grill. It seems there was an issue with burnt substances on the grill, which affected the taste of the chicken. It would be beneficial for the restaurant to pay closer attention to this aspect of their cooking process to ensure consistent quality across all dishes. Despite the issues with the chicken dish and the grill, the overall experience at Brown Social House was decent. The attentive service provided by our waitress was commendable, and the steak frites were a standout. However, the inconsistent quality of the chicken dish and the presence of burnt substances on the grill detracted from the overall dining experience. I hope that Brown Social House takes this feedback constructively and addresses the areas that need improvement. With some adjustments, the restaurant has the potential to provide consistently excellent meals to its patrons.

I made a boxing day dinner reservation for our party of 9 that had some family in town visiting. We all had such a lovely time and enjoyed our meals (and delightful desserts). Our server did an excellent job paying attention to detail while being wonderfully kind and amiable. The kitchen was impressive as they were able to execute multiple changes to a dish to accommodate some significant food allergies, so much so that the dish technically wasn't on the menu but they did each change anyway while taking care to make the dish delicious still. We were all impressed with the overall experience and will definitely be back!

Great experience really great food. The variety is amazing. No complaints other than the price the average meal is around 20$ which is not bad but once you add a drink and a desert it’s like 33$ a person. The reason it’s still 5 stars is because the service and the quality of the food. The pasta, salads and chicken are there best options. It’s worth the price. You got to eat here

This place was simple superb. The food was great and the service was awesome too. We had the Nachos and the lettuce wrap. The nachos was just a treat and was perfect. The lettuce wrap was very flavourful too. Will definitely be back to try out more from this place.

Great drinks, awesome food, and friendly service! I had the pineapple jalapeño margarita and a cowboy salad. My wife had the chef choice sushi and salad.

I would have rated this a five-star dinner but for two things. My wife's stated the garlic toast was tough to chew. The appetizer should have come with romaine lettuce. This would allow for a uniform wrap. The iceberg lettuce was hard to separate at times. Didn't allow for uniform wraps. Towards the end, you're eating it like nachos, which was quite messy for me. That being said, the flavors were amazing. We enjoyed every bite. The service was very good as well. We were greeted with a smile and brought to our seats. All the smiles were genuine from all the staff, which made us more comfortable to be there.We were seated by a window, and both of us enjoyed the atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try this place again. The reason for this is the flavors. We were so impressed with the appetizer that it will make it into our home meals, with romaine lettuce as the wrap. The portions are just right in size. I had to order dessert to go, but I enjoyed it later in the evening. A definite try for a casual dining establishment.

Amazing first visit. The food great, burger messy goodness. Fries seasoned perfect and they have probably the best gravy I have ever had. Good selection of craft beer and regular beer. Server was amazing, so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, it was refreshing. Atmosphere is good, we selected the patio section We will visit again

Went for my birthday yesterday had the nachos cuz I loooove them! My husband got them too! Didn't get a dessert which they usually do but that's ok!!! Because I do browns every birthday!!!! Tradition birthday nachos!!!!

Browns Social House is always a good time. Our Server Cole was delightfully friendly, humorous and prompt. He should get a raise if he hasn’t already. I would consider Cole as an asset to Browns as he took great care of us and was very patient as I was meeting with a friend I hadn’t seen in 2 years. Thanks for the awesome service and keep up the great work. Browns is in a great location and you can always count on consistency when it comes to the food and drinks. Order the house whipped Oreo cheesecake served in a cute little mason jar, you will not regret it.

4 - 5 stars. A bit pricey, but you know what you’re getting and it’s a nice establishment. I appreciate the brunch menu since I’ve been getting tired of the same menu since the first Brown’s opened here, maybe 10 years ago.

Really great food and excellent service. Had the calamari with jalapeños starter, tiki tuna bowl, hubby had fish and chips with gravy (really great gravy). Only negative was our very wonky table, on the heated patio, hence the 4 star rating on atmosphere.

This place is amazing. It was Valentine’s Day and everywhere was full of people. But this place offers a nice spot for us, which we didn’t expect, and their food is unexpectedly delicious! Especially the pork roll. For drinks, I LOVE THEIR SOCIAL SODA!!! It’s basically Bellini but well-made and tastes really fruitful. Service is also fantastic!

Pretty great food from this location for takeout. Calamari was cooked well (we added some pepper as the flavour was a little lacking). Fish tacos were huge and very filling. The beef dip sandwich was very well received. The regular fries were excellent, however the sweet potato fries tasted awful and frozen (I would not recommend these). All in all a good meal at a fair price.

It was great. We had planned on going to bin 4. However, they told us it was going to be a half-hour wait. So we went down the street to browns, and they sat us right away. Super friendly, super delicious. So I hope this review gets browns more business! Because I'll probably wait if they are too busy next time I want to go.

Browns is a welcoming environment, you're taken care of by professional trained, attentive serving staff, and you're orders are quality ensured by the magic makers in the kitchen. The Browns in Langford is a clean, customer pleaser that has a relaxed and fun attitude towards dining out, with a menu and atmosphere that caters to any foodie looking to enjoy a night out with a tie on or a tshirt. The menu is eclectic, which like most pub style restaurants is the usual, the awareness of all tastes and diets, from surf&turf to gluten free is a bonus, that many high end dining experiences lack, usually being set to one style French, Italian, etc. I would recommend Browns to anyone who wants to go out, have a good time, and enjoy some good food.

Our server was excellent. The food was good *brownie desert is outstanding* but it was too loud for my personal liking

Both of us had the fish and chips. One was regular and one gluten free. Both were excellent. Coleslaw was very tasty. Probably the best I've ever had.

If you like excellent food, friendly and attentive staff and a fantastic social environment, then Browns Langford is the place to go. Check it out, you will be happy you did!!

Dinner took a very long time to be served. When it did come, my boyfriend was cold. He was very hungry so ate it anyway as he did not want to wait for another. Because he ate it cold we were charged the full price for the meal. Worst customer service ever!!!

We took our twin daughters out and received amazing service and the food drink were amazing. Best family outing in a very long time.

Food is good as always. Friendly server but the fact they they are playing the TV'S full blast for sports and the commercials today and everyone is screaming. It's not relaxing. It's annoying and it's only happening because the owner wants it. BAD IDEA! I will make sure I never come on a day like this again. Horribly loud and stressful lunch break. Thanks Browns�

Delicious food. The steak sandwich OMG! Pretty restaurant. Our Server "Coco?" was super attentive and all over it! As she had a big section of tables. She actually told us before we left "Thanks guys, I appreciate you". What a wonderful thing to say to guests before they leave! Very impressed. We will definitely be back!!

The food is GREAT and the staff is AWESOME, can't get a better combo than that!!!!!!!!

First off I want say that your restaurant is well laid out and your staff is very friendly and knowledgable, looks like your main managers must know what they are doing. I do have to say that I am very unpleased with the food that my wife has been served twice now!! The first time was at a lunch in the first week of your opening. The halibut she ordered was uncooked, the owner took care of it very well and comped the meal. Today she went in for a friends birthday lunch and ordered the dynamite roll, the prawns were COMPLETELY raw!! Again the manager took care of it but I am extremely disappointed in the food so far. We eat out quite a bit and do business lunches frequently and if something inthe kitchen doesn't change we will not come in anymore and tell everyone so that they don't risk the chance of getting sick! Thanks for letting me voice my opinion!

Amazing service, amazing meal, excellent atmosphere, been there twice, will definitely go back.

We go to this location twice a month and we've always had amazing service. Food and drinks are always 10/10. A huge shout out to the manager Claire tonight. We had a small little mix up and I felt like she went above and beyond to fix the minor issue. Very impressed.
