This is my go to place for a late breakfast or lunch when in Victoria. The food, the décor, and the overall atmosphere are well worth the wait. Portion size is worth the price you pay and it is obvious the staff are well treated and enjoy the work they do.

The food is delicious, especially the beef dip & pancakes. They portions are quite large. They have memorabilia throughout the restaurant, which is enjoyable to look at while waiting for food to be served. The service is ok. Floyds seems to be a hotspot in Langford, they are always busy with waiting lines outside the door. The max I've had to wait was 30 minutes with my name on a wait list. I plan to bring my kids to Floyds when the come to visit from Penticton BC.
Despite being super popular and always full with a lineup to get in, I never mind waiting to be seated and served ...The servers are all great, the food is fabulous and the vibe there is groovy ! Great Caesars too !
I've tried the club sandwich more than a few times; I get halfway through and I'm done. One of these days I'll finish it. Great food, friendly, helpful, efficient, and fast staff, and an amazing atmosphere. You gotta eat here!

Soooo goood :-) sooooo full !!! We just moved to town 3 days ago and we have gone to this place twice already to eat. It's going to be our favorite spot for sure.

The Langford one is the one we go, and the food and service is always amazing! The food tastes home made and it's always so fresh. And their poutine is so delish!!!
We go here regularily and usually its an awesome meal with amazing service considering how busy it is. On our visit there yesterday at 10 am, my daughter did not get her bacon on the double the pleasure breakfast (she didnt say anything to me until we left). The coffee service was slow and I had to ask for a second cup finally. They were busy but not as busy as they can get when we were there. We will be back again soon.

I had breakfast at Floyd's today. I thought the food and service was great. What I especially liked was the super friendly young man named Dennis I think. He was very friendly and made me smile. Way to have staff with diverse abilities working at your establishment!! Thank you, I will be back next time I am in town :-)

Not my first visit and as expected I had a great dining experience. The staff are super friendly - one gentlemen in particular made my day. The BC Hash was everything you could hope for but more. Chicken waffle benny was also delicious. We would order these items again!
A top pick for breakfast in the Westshore. Food is always good and coffee is plentiful here.

Best breakfast place in Langford! Super friendly and chill staff. Diner vibe with good music. Big portions and great food. If you are adventurous order the Mahoney (they make you a giant meal that is a surprise; all you choose is breakfast or lunch).
Oh my goodness! Everything here was AMAZING. The fries were even above all expectations... Seasoned, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Every dish we had, contained quality ingredients cooked to perfection. The service was also extremely fast and friendly.
Always great service and good!!! They have a really great atmosphere. If you want to test your luck then try the Mahoney. Double or nothing, in a coin flip so try your luck. I usually get the BC hash. It's very filling and delicious. The portion sizings are great! I find I almost always have enough for my next meal also!

Eclectic, retro cool, funky greasy spoon diner. A welcome and fitting addition to Langford. A great place to grab breakie or lunch as best diner-style restaurant in West Shore. Menu is typical comfort food with big portions and reasonable price. Nothing really hipster healthy about it, just a great big plate of hangover-style yumminess and zero fussiness. And they make no apologies about it. The hubs always orders The Hudson waffles and fried chicken. The pancakes used to be plate-size huge and stacked but noticed they've toned down the obscene portions over the past year or so. The hand-cut wedge hashbrowns have changed to more like the frozen disc-chip kind but hey they are still tasty and that's Floyd's. I recently wasn't feeling the whole breakie thing so tried the veggie burger and it was good on a deliciously soft brioche bun. Servers are a super fun bunch. They even have nicknames like "Eggs" and "Bacon". It's a well run place. With lack of good simple diner grub in Langford, expect a line-up. Almost always busy especially on weekends as only open until 3:30ish.
I have had breakfast twice here and the food is amazing. It's very busy here and rightfully so!!! My server the frst time was a delight and super helpful. She made sure my coffee cup was always full. Very good meal. The second time i ate there it was a traditional benny. This is just as good as Johns place if not better. It was early in the morning so I had to go to work it was fast and delicious. Waitress made sure my coffee was full. Bringing my daughter in next weekend for her birthday breakfast. ... we will be having the benny's yumm

I love having brunch here. They have a good selection and the servings are great. Other people I have gone to Floyd's with say the coffee is bad but the staff are quick to give you a refill anyway. The fact that it's usually hard to be seated on a weekend morning should tell you enough.
This is a quirky diner, interesting place. The menu is not huge. We ordered the special which was a grilled cheese Benny and a fried chicken sandwich on a cornbread.
Food was ok, service was kinda slow and coffee was on the weak side.
Love this restaurant. It's a true diner with quirky finishes. I asked the server for her suggestion and she offered the California Burger. It was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.

Sooooo much fooood. Definitely not a place to go if you are on a diet! Breakfasts are good, I preferred their old menu, but maybe I just don't like change.

This place has a great junky-theme and a bright and colorful interior.
I have tried several of their meals the only thing I didn't like was an eggs bennie with some kind of chutney on it which really didn't work well together flavor wise. Portions are huge, could easially split one main course between two people. I don't like how the servers can wear whatever they want (they should be in all black, or at least wear aprons or something) because its hard to tell where your server is and kind of confusing when you first walk in
This is a good place to go during the weekday. Weekends are super busy. I love to come here for the classic eggs Benny. I have also tried the clubhouse and fries, which I would also recommend. Service is usually fast and friendly!

I'm truly surprised by the other reviews on here. It's like we're eating at different places?? We tried Floyd's for the first time in the end of September so maybe they've drastically cleaned up their act?? Not sure...anyways we go once every couple weeks for breakfast and whenever we have out of town company here. Probably about 15 times total now. We find the service amazing. The staff remember our 5 year olds name and always are very patient with her as she's a bit of a chatter box! Lol! We love the food (other than the one time I tried an omelette. The eggs weren't fluffy and the ingredients aren't mixed in just placed in between the folded eggs...not my favourite but I never said anything to them if I had I'm sure they would have remade it) however everything else we've tried has been really good! We've also ordered the Mahoney on a few occasions and are always impressed with the effort and creativity put into these meals. It's clear the kitchen take a lot of pride in what they are doing! We've tried the downtown Floyd's 3 times and weren't as happy with the service or the food so we just make the drive to this one instead.
Every restaurant has an off day. A while ago they had their's and I thought about not coming back. But it is how they respond that matters. Petra encouraged me to come back ensuring that it was just an off day. I have been back twice since and both times the service and food have been Fatastic. Great atmosphere high quality staff!! Glad I came back.
Benny me up. Great service first of all; the servers are fantastic and the whole feel of the place is very diner/homely, which is a great thing! We've had the same server twice and she remembered us from last time, which was surprising since the place is pretty busy on most occasions. I find the food portions to be HUGE, so my boyfriend and I usually just split one of the dishes, like the eggs bennys. We can't imagine how one person could finish such a HUGE meal. Love the coffee, love the feel, love the food. Keep it up, Floyds :)

Great Experience!. We had a super meal here with a friend today. Greeted as soon as we entered, given a choice of booth or table and chose the booth. The staff showed great teamwork in getting us seated quickly by working together to clean the table in the booth.
Plenty to choose from, our friend had the lox on a bagel, my partner had the BC Hash, and I had the Eggs Ben-Hur. We all agreed our meals were superb. My eggs were cooked the way I ordered, and the different hollandaise was lovely in appearance and taste. The pan fries were delicious - the best I have had! The BC Hash looked delicious, and I was assured that it was, same with the lox. Our server, Charla, hit the right note of being attentive without being intrusive. Coffee refill came at just the right moment, and I found the coffee good and fresh.
I definitely want to return, and I am lucky enough to have a day off in the week when it isn't so crowded. We arrived at 11 am, plenty of tables, were served quickly.
I am glad that we didn't allow the more negative reviews put us off. It just goes to show that it is important to make your own mind up about things.
Now I am just wondering what to have the next time.......because we will be back!!!

Good Stuff. Loud, Cramped, Awesome service, loud, delicious, fattening, loud. Absolutely LOVE this place.
Depending on what you order. The eggs benny was yummy! but there sure are items on the menu that you would not want to get. The restaurant is fun, relaxing, and just a nice place to dine in. The portion is generous and the price is awesome for its portion. There was a huge lineup but I only had to wait 15 minutes to sit down, so it wasn't that bad at all! I encourage you all to try it, but there are always a better option than this one.
Keeping up the good name. We love Floyd's downtown and since wee were in the area, thought we would give it try. The food was great, the portions huge and the service awesome. Great job keeping the Floyd's spirit and expereince.
Tasty and fun. Went in there on Sunday morning for breakfast -- the place was PACKED with a lineup for people waiting to sit down but they said they could sit us down right away at the bar (why not?). We got our drinks right away and had our order placed in no time. Took about 15 minutes to come out but we just figured it was because of how crazy busy it was. Orders came out and I was stunned -- the B.C. hash is HUGE! Delicious to boot, too! It was loaded with eggs, cheese, ham, salsa and sausage over top of hash browns.. I'm a big guy but I could only finish half of it (the other half made an awesome lunch!). Only complaint was that my father's eggs were overcooked, very close to over hard when over easy was requested, but he said that the terrific sausage and ham made up for it. As far as the price goes, it's definitely pricier than the likes of Royal Roads or Jasmines, but the difference is that the food actually tastes good and isn't skimpy (in the least!). Would love to go back.
Delish, good coffee, big portions, a bit pricey but overall good experience. A little too long between server visits however, we wanted to order our son a drink while waiting for our food and it was over 15 minutes before we saw our server again.
Worth it on so many levels, Victoria's best breakfast!. You know why there's always a line at Floyd's? Cause they are always worth the wait. And hey, where else do they give you coffee while you wait to be seated? I admit lines suck, but this is the only place I'll wait for. They can't be substituted, when you crave Floyd's it has to be Floyd's. Ever since they first opened their doors on Quadra to the recent and my favorite location in Langford, Floyd's has always brought what no other restaurant dared to: great food, diverse ingredients, always delightful staff, and a sense of humor and fun. Thanks Peter and all the staff you have never let me down in my time of feed need.
Great food, different and huge portions. The staff is funny and fast. Been there 3 times without disappointment. Just a tad on the expensive side being about $20 after tup for breakfast. Its a nice treat.

As good as i was expecting. After hearing the wife friends rave about the place we decided to see for ourselves. Had the homer eggs benny was very well done with oddles of toppings like chicken and mushrooms and other tasty morsels. Went in hungry and wasnt able to eat all of my portion, even though it was very scrumdilisush. They were renovating tables so the scenery is a work in progress. Servers were very professional and fast. Only complaint was a bit pricey...but i have been served way less tasty food for more cashola at other place so i guess i can forgive em.
...we were more than happy with Floyd's. The food is consistent, portions are big, coffee is good and hot, staff are friendly, prices are decent, and now the location is convenient. The perfect double trifecta (just like my six-meat breakfast).

Floyds big portions feed hungry guests; I recommend to go on a weekday when they are less busy to eat in; weekend take out! The bacon is sooo thick and crispy

EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT! The waffles are the best you will ever eat! Same with the bacon! The food is so delicious! The service is great as well and the decor is fun to look at!
If you like a lot of foods and have no food allergies, I recommend the Mahoney! It was as if they had read my mind! Best Breakfast I have ever had! The rest of the family also agrees!
Drive by a hundred times. Finally stopped and went in. Always heard good things about Floyd’s Diner and they are all true. Was a wait to get in but we’ll worth it. The portions are big the price reasonable and the service awesome. Every single staff member is great.

I had a excellent experience at Floyd’s Diner. They are very local, I can tell 100% people are live around the area and spend time here. The food there were awesome, the portions were huge, both of us couldn’t finish.
I love the way they describe their food on the menu. And they have tons of different mug, and you can see your coffees are served in different mugs which is really a fresh and funny experience. Also they stamped their logo on our hand, it was so unique.
The environment was great, they checked Covid passport, they sanitized the tables and every area, and people can have a decent distance between tables.
I am pretty sure I will come back again and try other dishes on the menu!
After always being recommended to Floyd's, I finally had it. My partner took me there for brunch and we both ordered the 'double your pleasure' and it was sooo good. The portion size is really worth the price, and for the quality of food I was not disappointed. The only thing I would say is that the food wasn't hot when it got to the table, but other than it was good. I got a coffee on the side and it was one of the best coffees I had; it was also bottomless so it made it taste even better. Coming back to try the benny dishes soon! Staff was super sweet and attentive (:
Ate here for breakfast and had a good time! Our server was great and very accommodating. The one note I have is I got the traditional eggs benny and the hash browns were pretty tasteless! They were their specialty Floyd has browns but we're not very tasty or even salted... The rest of the food was good!

This is based on only one visit but I think Floyds is my new go-to restaurant. I recently arrived in the province and frankly I've been really disappointed by every single diner I've gone into. Floyd's on the other hand exceeded my expectations.
Great friendly service. Our server was thoughtful and attentive. Everyone had great energy for such an obviously hectic shift (Sunday high noon). Place had a great vibe. Rare in today's post Covid industry.
They have a phone call waiting list for busy periods. You arrive, leave your phone # and they'll call you when a table opens. Best system in my opinion. Plenty of parking too. Very accessible, we wheeled our stroller inside no problem.
Food itself was great value. Large portions, tasty, hearty. Kids menu also was good quality, I was pleasantly surprised that the kids chicken fingers were real strips of chicken meat, not the usual el cheapo stuff. Most restaurants, even high price ones, are totally content to serve kids sh*tty food, but here I noticed they take way more care. The milk had a little sippy lid and we were immediately offered a highchair upon entering. Definitely a family friendly environment. The server also made a point of putting the kid's food on a room temperature plate instead of serving it on a scalding hot plate, first time I've ever had a server show such forethought.
I am oldschool, unfortunately I am the type to look for things, any thing i dont like when I'm at a restaurant, any reason to gripe and not tip, my wife hates it, but I was completely happy at Floyds. Their menu is huge so I am interested in returning and trying more of their offerings. We will definitely be going back.

Floyd's is always good! It's my favorite breakfast joint. The other day I went with my kids and couldn't decide what to order, so I got the Mahoney breakfast, and they served me up this fabulous monstrosity.. 4 Frenchtoast stack with all the breakfast proteins in between on a bed of potatoes, cheese curd, and red sauce! Like what? I ate for breakfast and dinner and shared it at dinner with the kids, and we still couldn't finish it.
This was an amazing start to our vacation. Our niece recommended going here for brunch off the airplane, so we met up and headed over. We were not disappointed.
First, everyone greeted us, which was lovely. Everyone seemed very happy.
Second, our server, Ryan, was the best. He was so cheerful and friendly. He happily gave substitution recommendations to make our meals just the way we wanted.
Third, but by no means last, the food was fabulous. The BLT was delicious with the addition of the cheese, but oh my lordy, the mushroom soup was out of this world.
We'll be remembering Floyd's for a long time, and next time we're in Victoria, it will be the first stop again.

Delicious fresh food and Texas size portions. Has a mom and pop feeling to it. Servers are very friendly and welcoming. Bacon everywhere. Gets quite busy, but we were seated quickly. Easy and free parking.

Amazing quality with good portions. Staff very friendly and great to chat with. We did breakfast and it was delicious. The sausage is perfect with the hashbrowns. I had a specialty coffee and it hit the spot. Decorated classic diner style.
I loved the massive menu and I chose the American Idol. The potatoes were some of the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had. Definitely huge portions and well worth the price. Delicious! Also, very good, friendly service
Lives up to the hype!
We were searching for a new place to go for brunch around Langford and stumbled upon this place on Google Maps. The ratings were amazing, so decided to give it a try.
When we got there, there was a line, but we didn't have to wait too long as we were seated within 15-20 minutes.
We ordered Double Your Pleasure and the Shakshuka Benny.
Overall the food was delicious, but everything was too salty for my taste. The potato was really good and crispy, but I find that there are a bit too much seasoning salt on it, which made it very salty.
The ham, sausage, and bacon were all a bit too salty as well. But they are all yummy aside from the saltiness. It can just be my personal taste.
Other than that, the service was amazing and the ambiance is so much fun and upbeat.
I will definitely give this place another visit. I would like to try other things on the menu as well!
Excellent food and portion size. Service was friendly but it was a long wait for food. However it is an very busy place and they did warn us it would take some time. But we peeked at some of the food coming out if the kitchen and it looked good. Also great option for vegetarians/vegan. Delish!
