Review Kyoto Coffee - Lakefield

Susan Waldon
Whether looking for a hot or cold beverage Kyoto Coffee always hits the spot. And the coffee beans are roasted there so you know it is always fresh. So many small businesses are also represented there. Buy your locally produced honey, maple syrup, sweets made on site, perrogies, jams and pickles all supporting small local enterprises. And there is a BBQ food truck on site with picnic tables. Everyone including pets get to stretch their legs.

Nice staff, awesome peanut butter cookies, good coffee. They roast beans so you can smell it from far away. Nice to support local.

Tried it for the first time today. Got a regular coffee, decaf latte, & a wonderful peanut butter cookie. Highly recommended.

Disgusted by her behavior towards her employees AND customers. Out right swore at me when I mentioned her attitude towards a lovely 15 year old girl who looked scared out of her mind. Have never NEVER experienced this before and she should most definitely be shut down due to inhumane behaviors.

The owner treats her staff terribly; she was yelling at one of the girls while my friends and I were buying some coffee and baked goods. The coffee only filled 2/3 of each of our cups and the milk in the coffee tasted a little sour. The baked goods were also all stale. My friends and I will definitely NEVER go here again.

I really wanted to like this place. I like to support local business during the pandemic. Instead of going to Starbucks, I decided to take a different route and try this place out because it was local. I ordered medium flat white. See the picture. Even with the foam it’s only 2/3 full. Once the foam settled down, it was half full. How can you serve a drink that is visible not full? Not only that, the coffee was bitter. and it seems they used 1% milk when flat white calls for whole milk. Not coming here again. Even though i really wanted for it to work. If it did, I would’ve made my daily coffee stop.

Beat cup of coffee I’ve had in a long time. Sumatra, black. Ended up buying a pound of it, wish I had bought more! Edit: I am going to be in the area in a couple weeks and am making a special, out of my way stop to load up on coffee here. There is nothing like the aroma of fresh roasted coffee in my FACE.

Simply the finest coffee you can find.. It may seem pricey compared to the stuff you can find at the grocery store, but if you compare it to what you pay getting drive through slop, (I would mention names but that wouldn't be fair to Tim Horton's) you will come out ahead. What's more is that you will be drinking ethically sourced organic coffee that is head and shoulders superior to anything you will find in the region.
