Great patio environment and absolutely amazing service and friendly staff!! Parking can be tricky. Food was extremely well prepared (aka Top Chef quality) and quite tasty! Highly recommend!!
We were staying in the hotel (Deer Lodge) so ate several times here. The service was good. The menu is varied and interesting and the wine list extensive. The game (Caribou and Moose) are farmed at a ranch in South Alberta owned by the company who wins the Lodge so at least you know where the meat comes from. The setting is charming and the windows look onto snowy Mt Fairview. Kids menu good, everything my kids tried was great. Breakfast here also excellent.
Mixed, but overall good. The bison steak and elk hash were fantastic. The halibut was cooked perfect but the risotto was bland and boring. A little seasoning would be nice. The saffron broth was not good. Just an oily butter sauce. Too bad because the fish was so good. Breakfast was ok to good. With only one side being rough, I'd go back based on the rest.
Wild caribou medallions served with a yam and leek gratin a red current glaze. The caribou was tender and tasted like a cross between beef and deer. The gratin was made up of thin slices of yam and leek, and it beautifully buttery and soft. This is definitely worth a try. Although, we did feel a wee guilty in eating the caribou since it’s quite an endangered species (due to the logging of the trees that have the lichen that they eat, which is their primary food source). We were full but couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try desserts. These were really good but just didn’t match the same excellence of the main dishes. I picked the bumble berry pie based on its name – bumble berry. How could I pass up the chance to try some that has such a cute name? Bumble berry refers to a melange of berries. A warm pie with buttery, flaky pastry, and it’s packed full of berries. It wasn’t too sweet and you could taste the berries. It was served with a good quality vanilla ice cream. We also go the peanut souffle w salted caramel and raspberry mascarpone. This was quite good even though I’m not much of a peanut fan. This t
Attention Day trippers to Lake Louise!!! This is the spot to check out for your breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Very good quality food and well presented. We had a lovely dinner here on our 1st night and an awesome breakfast the next morning. We observed that the nearby Chateau lacked a sit down breakfast option and long waits for tables. The dining room has rustic charm and great service and the adjacent lounge has some good options from the same kitchen. Coming out of Covid, the staff and management are doing a great job with the menu and service.
Staying in Deer Lodge for 2 days. Dined in the restaurant for one of the nights. Appreciate the staff for checking & complying with all the COVID measures.
The food was well prepared, very flavorable.
The sfeff is fiendly & courteous. The decor is rustic, fitting for the mountain environment.

I Absolutely enjoyed our experience here. The service was phenomenal and prompt. Cutlery and dishes were spotless! And let’s talk about that view. Down right gorgeous. As For the meal, We went with a Game chorizo Linguine. Good size portion and fill our stomachs. If you’re in this area I highly suggest to swing by. You won’t be disappointed!
We really enjoyed our experience dining here. The menu was comparable to some of the options available at the Fairmont where we were staying, but more reasonably priced (though not cheap either!). We had the lamb chops which were so juicy, as well as the braised elk shank. Everything was delicious. Loved the old-school cabin vibes of the dining room as well.
This place is always spot on. The food is amazing and so are the drinks. The maple old fashioned, and the bison beef burger are great. The staff is super friendly and it's always consistent service. I have been a regular here for a couple months and I highly reccomend this place.
Dinner was great and dessert even better! Tried the ribeye steak with was boneless with minimal fat and cooked perfectly. The sauce with it made the dish and the garlic mash was very garlicky and delicious! For dessert I’d recommend asking about the ice cream/sorbet flavors. It’s made in house and is amazing. Specifically the chocolate which is better then gelato in Italy. Very rich, creamy and thick.
