Borealis Grille & Bar is a nice locally sourced restaurant. The service is so friendly and attentive, Luigi is entertaining and provided great suggestions. Would come back just for his professional service. The food was delicious and well made, some of the dishes could have used a touch more seasoning. Overall we enjoyed our meal.

Delicious food and drink! Had the perfect pear cocktail, the mushroom and caramelized onion flatbread, chicken antojitos and the daily feature burger with parm fries. The food is so flavourful and I love that they have unique dishes

Super yummy! Went for our anniversary! I had the steak frites and husband had the three sisters bowl! Steak was perfect and cooked to my liking. Parmesan’s style fries really elevated the dish! Was surprised the cornbread we shared as a starter was warm on the outside but cold on the inside.

We love Borealis! So much that when we lived in Alberta, we flew back and hosted our small wedding in 2019 at Borealis. They were amazing to work (event planning staff and staff the day of) with and had a great dinner with our family and friends. We are now back in KW and go to Borealis every few weeks for dinner. Just want to give a shout-out to Kyle E. who was a great server (June 2022). He was attentive, genuine and took the time to chat and explain various menu items and specials. His customer service really stood out to us. The food is always amazing and we know it will be delicious. So glad we’re back in KW and can enjoy Borealis!

We enjoyed a great meal here on Valentines Day - a nice selection of menu choices and fair prices for what we got. Delicious too! We both had wild boar for our main which we'd never tried and it was well seasoned and quite tasty. A good blend of flavours. Portioned well too. Staff was very friendly and personable.

All the food was amazing! Except mine. Mine tasted amazing but was so much smaller than everyone else's. The chicken supreme was delicious but small. A classic "I'm fancy and tiny and cost the most on the menu" option. Everyone else got so much food some didn't finish, I went home and made myself two burgers. That being said I will be going back for the buttermilk fried chicken, or the mussel linguine which both could have fed a bear.

Good food, prompt service, and strict observance of COVID protocols. They do check to make sure you have your full COVID vaccines, so bring your proof of vaccinations. The fried chicken and blackened chicken antijitos were my personal favorites.

I visited Borealis for the first time in years recently. We sat on their dog friendly patio and enjoyed dinner and wine. Our server Luigi was OUTSTANDING and even took us upstairs to show off the original school house section of the restaurant that is still intact (neat little history lesson!). They have a few vegan options and the bowl I ordered was flavourful and fresh. Great spot for a nice dinner out.

My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday. The staff was very friendly and immediately explained how the menu worked. The pierogi we selected were the cheese and the meat ones but they did have a variety of others including dessert ones. We had the sauerkraut salad and the beet salad and both were very tasty. The only problem we occurred was not having any diet beverages other than water. Very enjoyable experience.

What an amazing place to drop by on the go, or even sit in and take in the delicious smell of all that's cooking. Wonderful service with a smile. Referring to each customer by their first name and sincere service is what makes the place even more special. You gotta eat here!!! ;)

I think the food was fantastic! It's nice to get exactly what you want on your perogies for such a good price! The only thing that I didn't like was that when you try to order extra food the wait staff seemed to be surprised that you wanted to order more? It's like well I can go to McDonald's and order 20 hamburgers and they're not going to say are you sure you want to order that much? It's like do you want my business? That would be the only problem I would have with this place. The wait staff should just be happy that people are buying their food. Why am I being questioned at the amount of food that I want to buy? Sometimes you want to take it home for lunch the next day. And I wasn't the only one, there was a couple other customers there that are being questioned as to why they're wanting to buy more. I've worked in the food service industry for years and I never questioned the amount of food that someone wanted to buy....threw me off.

Great place to eat! Very friendly staff. The food is very authentic and delicious. Best comfort food in town!

This place just makes me happy! I had a polish nanny who handmade these for me as a child and Pierogi House is the most authentic I've ever had since hers. So many amazing varieties I've never tried before and everyone as tasty as the last. They toss on bacon, sauteed onions, green onion and sour cream ALL included in the base price. It's cheaper, testier and faster than buying the mediocre store bought ones :D I'll be back at least once or twice a month!!

An incredibly fresh and delicious break from the everyday chain restaurants. Everything homemade, and freezers full of their wares to take home for another night.

Amazing, authentic perogies. If you are in Kitchener, stop by this amazing spot. I recommend the spinach ones with all the toppings.

So good. Lots to choose from and was quick to get. We will return. Maybe add beer would be my only suggestion.

Everything was beyond delicious!!!! It was well worth the trip today and I still would've made it in even if it stormed! Thank you for the hospitality, your establishment is genuine, sincere and incredible and I promise I'll be back!!!!!
