Review Bobby O'briens - Kitchener

We've been going to this place for years and the service was always good but today the service was horrible and the food was the worst. We had to ask for everything. The server brought us Wings first, with no Napkins or wet wipes, not even utensils were brought until we asked for them. Me and my friend went for lunch and some drinks. We ordered Spinach dip, which was the worst I've ever had, lots of cream cheese and cheddar cheese barely any Spinach and was supposed to be served first, instead of Wings. Salad was good the veggie burger was good and the wings were awful 😖. The food doesn't worth the price. We were so disappointed and don't think we'll be going there again

Came in today, and had a fantastic experience. A lot of people were on the patio because of a blues event, some lady at the door tried to charge me 10$ to get seated. The lovely manager came over and told the lady that was with the event to stop, which was appreciated. She sat me, and then my friends showed up, we had a fantastic time where our server maddy treated us fantastically. Our food came out quickly, and our drinks even quicker. Definitely the best patio in Kitchener/Waterloo, and even better staff. Would recommend, and will be returning frequently.

As a business customer service is vital especially after a pandemic and while Kiera our server was very nice. It should not take a kitchen 30 plus minutes to make 2 buffalo wraps when their was 5 tables outside and a couple people sitting at the bar. Inside was closed with no one sitting inside. However the male manager was very rude and just acting as an alpha male with in my opinion zero customer service skills no manager should ever tell a customer you should go somewhere else then when I explained I wasn’t happy with the lack of urgency from the kitchen to make 2 meals. The Guelph location is far better and we won’t be back.

Food was pretty good but the service was terrible, our server never came back to check on drinks or anything. I spent 15 minutes trying to get her attention but she paid no attention to our table. When she brought our food there was no cutlery or condiments and she seemed annoyed that we asked for some. They had live music for the patio but you'd think they were playing for an arena of 30,000 people with the volume they played at, it was way to loud for such a small venue.

Good place for Game nights, servers are also very courteous and polite. Unfortunately we were unable to get chicken wings as they got out of stock but they gave us good discount 😋. Will definitely visit again 👍

Great place for drinks & awesome food. Always good service! I've been going for several years.

I used to love coming here with my friends, but after tonight we will not be back. We went out with a group of 9 tonight. The food was great and our server was wonderful, but we were all left with a sour taste as we were leaving. After we paid we all gathered outside of the patio saying our goodbyes and catching up before we all parted ways. We were then very rudely asked to move along by someone “working with the manager” saying we were blocking people from coming in off the street. We left plenty of room for people to get around our group, not to mention there was barely anyone out downtown. Horrible way to retain business!

After many years of going to Bobby's, I thought it was time to write a review! We have always had a great time there - the patio is the best in town, they have lots of great food options for reasonable prices, and their drinks are reasonable as well! A great place to have a group, a date night, and to catch some live music! We really enjoy their wings, pickle spears, cobb salad and burgers!

Amazing place to hangout with friends. You will definitely get Irish feeling in a pub. They have great deals on every weekdays. Just love the food as specially my friends love chicken wings. Never forget to try their special sauce chicken wings. They make it with special love. Good and pocket friendly place to visit with friends.

This place is pretty good!! (AMBIANCE And crowd)<br/>I ordered whiskeysour and I got whiskey with green apple flavour. When I tried to ask them.. they are not even accepting it. Bad experience!! <br/>I wish they change their service. Would like to return if they have some nice bartenders.

Yes. <br/><br/>I was able to get a half day off work and went downtown to take care of some errands. I met up with my girlfriend and we decided to pop in for a quick lunch. We walked into what seemed like a fairly typical looking bar. Nothing fancy just plain wooding, booths and stools; exactly what we were looking for and wanting.<br/><br/>After looking over the menu I saw that there was a drink called the black and tan. I asked what that was and the waitress explained it was a mix of a ale and cider. Curious, I ordered it and ya, it was pretty good.  The nutty ale meshed well with the fruitiness of the cider.<br/><br/>We both decided on the chicken wings: honey garlic, curry, and sweet chili. I was happy to see they had some uncommon flavours like the curry. They all came out in quick order and everything taste quite good. The wings were a fair size and not overdone like some places treat their bar food.<br/><br/>All in all the service was friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was to be expected, and the food good. Not only that, but it seems like they have some original flavours and some unique twists on some drinks. If I'm in the area I'll definitely be stopping there again.

Today is the first day we visited this place, it was fully packed as it was Friday. Open air ambience was too good for dinner. Friday they serve half price fish and chips. We took one fish and chips and one chicken stir fry. Chicken stir fry was really exceptional. It was served hot and juicy on the bed of basmati rice with some sauté vegetables. It is a place where you can enjoy Friday night where rest of the kitchener is silent.

Turkey meat slices with lettuce tomato and bacon in a wrap... Really really bad Turkey blt wrap ! . Processed slices can't even use real Turkey !!! 20 bucks with a glass of beer.... Won't be back.

Awful. Only go here for drinks. The service is terrible many ditzy, awkward waitresses who are more interested in talking with their friends or putting sunscreen on each other than serving customers. Their beer is always cold and they have plenty of drink specials. I do enjoy their huge patio, however their food is disgusting, don't even waste your money. I have eaten here on several occasions and am always disappointed. I got a veggie quesadilla which was hardly cooked, the cheese was melted and that was about it. The beans were cold, the peppers were cold and there was no flavour to it. The next time I went I ordered a stir fry on rice without meat, just veggies. The sauce is awful, their stir fry says mixed veggies but it was just peppers, one slice of carrot and some onion. For some reason they put at least a cup of sesame seeds on top as well. There was maybe a half a cup of rice under the vegetables and it was all coated so heavily in sauce I took one bite and told the waitress it was awful. She half ass apologized and made us pay for it. Seriously disappointed.

Fun trivia night

I felt like hitting a pub for supper so went to Bobby O'Brien's Irish Pub. I ordered garlic bread with cheese and wings with Frank's Buffalo. The garlic bread was good. The bread was soft with lots of butter and cheese. The wings were good too ... just the right amount of heat. There were eight wings to a pound and they were a good size. The food was good and Tanya took good care of me. She was super friendly and helpful.

So as many downtown drinkers know, there used to be this really popular pub called The Still in downtown Kitchener.
