We were served flat beer the first time around here but it was corrected after we walked to the bar. Don't ever order the nachos here. The toppings are poorly thought our and don't pair well together. I can see what they are trying to do, but it was not thought out. They also missed an order at our table, lied about it, and then brought the wrong food. I think this may be my only one star review.

The food was really good, creative and delicious combinations of familiar items (flatbreads, tacos, wontons). The drinks were also really good.

Had been here with colleagues, the drinks are decent they had a offer and the Laguna was full of hops as suggested, a bit too bitter could've been excellent had the hops been toned a little. Next was their and the waiter was super friendly explaining the detail of foods. Their food wasn't out of the world, you could try a free things the portions were reasonable. Prices were not too high, overall a good place to hangout with friends over a evening catchup or drinks.

Worth going downtown for! I went with a group of six- service was fast and very attentive and the food was so flavorful. The value here is outstanding to begin with let alone when you consider the prime downtown location. We had a round of apps and I had the pork chop- cooked to perfection and I can be picky on the temp of my protein. YUM

Went there for a lunch with a few people from work. Menu looks good. I went with the Caesar salad with chicken and it was good with a decent amount of dressing but not too much. The price for the salad was expensive but the rest of the menu was ok. Next time I go I want to try the tacos. Go there on Tuesdays for the tacos because they are on sale.
The service was a bit slow but it was the lunch rush.

The service here is amazing, I have never had poor service and it keeps me coming back. They switch out their features fairly often, so there is always something new to try. With that being said, the food can be hit and miss.
It is slightly expensive compared to other bars along King Street. The beer seems to be on par in price though, with the better service and atmosphere I would recommend it.

They're getting better. Menu has more variety than Firkin, daily specials are pretty good, taco day is by far their best offering. Speed of food coming out of the kitchen is a bit problematic, but overall a good place for lunch or a pint.

$5 beer and $2.50 tacos on Tuesday. Why wouldn't you go here? Service is fast and friendly. Place is bright and big. Can't wait to try the cocktails and poutine next time.

This was one of the best meals my hubby and I have ever had! My Flat Iron steak was so tender that I was cutting it with my butter knife before I noticed the steak knife! My husband said his DTK Cuban sandwich was outstanding in flavor (I tasted it and agree!) And oh my, the presentation of the food was a sight to behold.....there is a true artist in that kitchen. Everything we had was obviously house made , even the ketchup for hubby's fries.
And the prices are 100% affordable! Highly recommend!

We went for the first time on Sunday for breakfast. The server was by herself & busy, but very efficient. French press coffee was a wonderful feature. Food was hot & delicious. My husband had the steak & eggs with the best potato pancake & I had the lemon ricotta pancakes at the suggestion of the server. Would definitely have it again....amazing!

We were invited to the Friends & Family event at Taste, I have to say this was some of the best food i have had in quite sometime (And drinks).
The service was great, Our waitress was SUPER friendly. anyone looking to have a nice meal or just go out for a drink, I highly recommend Taste at the tannery :)

My Husband and I had dinner this past Wednesday night and really enjoyed the freshly prepared meal. The butternut squash and bacon Mac and cheese was awesome. We also tried there tacos and thought they were incredible. Made with very fresh ingredients. Our server was friendly and efficient. Loved the experience.

I was there for a networking lunch and really enjoyed the butternut squash ravioli. Really appreciated that they accommodated our short time frame as well.
Dessert was great! We had the caramel bread pudding (sans the bourbon garnish) and a scoop of the vanilla bean ice cream - delicious!
Definitely will be a repeat customer �

Chef Michael invited his mom and step-father to the Friends and Family event at Taste, Wednesday, May 3, 2016 - the overall effect - awesome.
The venue, in the Tannery building, sparkled - black and red, a flashback to Chef Michael's childhood!
The staff, competent and personable presented the dishes well with portions, too large for my ancient tummy.
Waterloo Radler and the Spring Rolls was the perfect combination for me; I'll be back again and again!
Job well done to the Bingemans and thanks for the invite Mike!

When compared against other restaurants, for price value and flavour - Can't beat Taste at the Tannery. I was there with two others for brunch this past weekend. The mimosas were refreshing, the spring rolls were amazing and overall we enjoyed our meals very much.
Considering the restaurant caters to those who seek out spicing and flavours, you kind of expect price to follow. Not so at Taste at the Tannery. My wallet thanks you, and I will be choosing Taste over other "perceived" value restaurants that offer ho-hum pub good. Treat your tastebuds and wallet right - Go to Taste at the Tannery instead!

Very good experience after we did a paint nite in this restaurant- liked the personal attention from the manager, had 9 apps on the big board and all were good- fried chorizos, the homemade goat cheese and salad my favs:) great presentation! Thank you Sean and staff!
