Wonderful food coming from the sushi bar and the kitchen. The new changes to the dining room have really made the restaurant shine - a romantic evening dinner, or a casual upscale lunch. This is by far the best sushi we've had in the region. They have a fantastic menu that caters to all tastes, and a staff that is passionate about the restaurant.
Where I come from, all you can eat restaurants are a last resort, even for those unlucky enough to be born without tastebuds or common sense. This is not the case with you guys. Never before in my life have I been offered such glorious amounts of food, the quality of which I'd be hard pressed to find here. On my first visit, my extra order of Beef Teriyaki never arrived after my 10 scoops of Mango ice cream, I assume you thought it must have been a mistake, but no, I loved it that much. My second visit had no such problems, with wave after wave of delicious meat appearing before me, as if to finally help me realise my dream of eating enough to put a restaurant out of business. Sadly, but also thankfully, I was unable to achieve my goal that day. But I intend to try again at some point in the future. Thank you for opening my eyes as to what a real all you can eat restaurant should be.
Amazing sushi and great service ! Will be back again. The deep fried ice cream was to die for !
Amazing service which I find isn't always common at sushi restaurants. Delicious beef teriyaki, must try! The plates are also garnished nicely despite it being all you can eat. My go to sushi restaurant in Kitchener!
Great vibe , friendly sevice , unique and tasty "Chef Specials" . A little on the pricey side but the quality is worth it !!
Nori could have been toasted, it was already soggy by the time the handroll reached our table. Fish could have been colder. Menu needs some organizing. Food was good, pleasantly surprised by my first AYCE in Kitchener area (I’m from Toronto/Markham). They will give more tempura than you think. $30.99, I believe, on a weekday. One of the few good places open on a Monday. Would come again. Bathroom was okay when I went.

Had a fantastic mothers day meal today at sushi star. First time here, will not be our last!
Thank you!
Best sushi place in town. Always fresh, delicious and service is good too.
Absolutely love this place! The food is amazing and so are the people working their , definitely somewhere I will keep going to
Order-in.. I have since moved & can no longer order from Sushi Stars on just-eat. However, when I lived at my old residence this was the best sushi restaurant to order from online. It always arrived very fast, the sushi was good & you can get a really decent value by ordering the platters & what not. I never enjoyed Sushi Stars in Hamilton, but this one is a little gem.
Overall good. On the outside, Sushi Star looks a little depressing but the interior is nice. I like this restaurant, it's my go-to because the food is yummy, the service is good and the prices are unbeatable!
Excellent. Everything was great. Price was very reasonable.

BEST ALL YOU CAN EAT IN WATERLOO. Although people say this place has bad service, they have GREAT all you can eat standards. In comparison to the other AYCE Sushi places in Kitchener-Waterloo, Sushi Stars gives you perfect portions so you can diversify your sushi experience oppose to over sized rolls. I am a regular there, and I have noticed that They have upped their customer service by new hires. Again, when it comes to all the other AYCE spots in KW, Sushi Stars is the spot to be. Small spot, very clean with quality all you can eat food.
Loved it!!!. I'm actually surprised by all the negative comments. My brother (a unniversity student) suggested we go to this place as all of his friends preferred it to the others. We pulled up and I was worried because it sort of looked like a dive. Nice atmosphere with friendly wait staff. I pleaseantly surprised by the selction of sushi rolls. There are a lot of appetizer options too. My husband really enjoyed the variety of bbq skewers. My family LOVES sushi and for KW this is our place fom now on. I've been there twice and I didn't have a problem with the service, it was timely and friendly. A good heads up to know is that you do pay for whatevery you dont' eat (my brother's experience) so just be mindful when ordering. It's worth it to give this place a shot.
Very delicious sushi, all you can eat menu is the same price as other places. They have a good selection of interesting rolls. The only thing I dislike is that they use onions in some of the spicey ones. Their selection of dragon rolls are yummy, but they are lacking in salmon rolls.
Quiet place, Decent food. My family and I went there because we had a coupon. The place was fairly deserted for a Thursday lunch. But because there was so few people, we had a really nice chat with the manager and got pretty good service.
The sushi was beautifully laid out on their wooden trays, giving a nice Japanese feel to the food. The sushi itself was about the same as the other all-you-can-eat places. Their appetizers were just as good as well. The portions per order tended to be quite small, so you have to get quite a few orders to get your fill. The rolls were fairly small in size, allowing us to order and try a variety without getting too full. Pretty good overall.
The best part was the dessert, where they had a larger variety than any of the other places. There was pudding, cheesecake (real cheesecake and a decent portion), fried milk, fried banana, and ice cream. I'm always looking for the dessert at the end of a buffet and this is the best I've found for all-you-can-eat sushi places.
The quality of the sushi is good but we started ordering a la carte instead of all you can eat because we realized that we don't eat as much and it is cheaper for us a la carte instead of 25$ all you can eat. The service is challenging when ut is busy because the waitresses are running around and there are no system. Sometime the dishes smell like bleach especially the cups so we did not drink tea. Overall the sushi is the best you can find in a small town like Kitchener.
More is good, but unlimited is better! This mindset has led to a booming market for All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) sushi restaurants. Afterall, what is better than stuffing yourself silly with sushi, right?!
