Review Twh Social - Kitchener

We are staying at the Walper and one of the front desk staff recommended that we check out TWH Social. So glad we did... great, fun and chatty staff, trendy decor, and the food!!!! I couldn't decide..so our server chose and I was given the brisket burger ... I never order burgers when I go out...but wow this one was incredible!!! ..it had been recommended by 2 different people for very good reason And a surprise dessert for our anniversary 😊

I've been to the TWH Social many times for dinner and once for brunch and I love the atmosphere and the food. The menu is on the smaller side, but is updated periodically with new options. The food is consistently delicious and beautifully presented! In my three most recent visits I have been served by Miro, who is an absolutely wonderful server! He is so friendly and attentive, and very knowledgeable about the current menu and wine list. Thank you Miro for making our visits so enjoyable! :)

I absolutely loved my experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere is classy and welcoming. The staff are attentive and caring. The food was impeccable! It came quickly and the presentation was spot on! They even granted us dessert on the house for a birthday celebration. Our server, Nico, was a delight! Will be returning!

2nd time here for brunch, the first one was awesome, food so good. 2nd time, the burger (on their menu brinch) a bit too salty. the staffs very friendly and nice ambience. The drink I had was yummy

Went here this past Saturday for valentines day! It was so good. I really like their duck dish. It was cooked perfectly. my boyfriend had the beef short rib. All in all would recommend and will come back. It was cool that they gave us tickets the apollo theatre.

Checked out TWH Social for brunch this morning. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. The food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed that I was able to make a reservation online, ensuring a seat for brunch. Excited to come back and bring new friends for a yummy meal :)

I choose TWH Social for a family dinner because when we called to make a reservation we were told vegan options were available and the server would be knowledgeable about them. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The server bumbled his way through the menu, guessing at what was, before saying he'd ask the kitchen. I can understand that not everyone can know everything about the menu so I wasn't too put out. I chose the Buddha bowl with tempeh which was served without the tahini yoghurt. It was completely dry, and other than the onion and spinach, it was almost flavourless. I wasn't going to say anything about it but the server asked me how it was. When I said it was okay but the tempeh was really dry he responded defensively. He said it was because they had to make it vegan. I incorrectly assumed that they would make my meal as delicious as everyone one elses were by putting some vegan dressing on instead (maybe tahini with lemon juice). It's frustrating that I didn't receive any sort of apology and was instead blamed for an unsatisfactory meal. The rest of my family thankfully had a good meal, albeit a slow one. My family agreed that after the service we received, we won't be choosing it again. I'm not blaming the restaurant for not having better vegan options, I simply wish we were told the truth about how little care is given to them when the reservation was made.

Went here last night for dinner and drinks. Our server was one of the best I've ever had. I also work in the industry and I was incredibly impressed. Great time, cocktails were delicious and our server was very knowledgeable about the vegan options for me. I'll be back :)

The service was excellent, he truly read our needs well. The meal was outstanding. The lamb was terrific. I have to come back and try it again. Then we were surprised with a nice treat for our Anniversary. They have a nice selection of beer in tap and I enjoyed the cocktails. Excellent place, beautifully decorated.

Was here last night for dinner, was great! Patio is wonderful and the service was good! As a person with Celiac Disease, they were able to ensure my meal was gluten free and prepared in a separate area. I will def come back!

We had our wedding reception in the cellar room. The service was absolutely amazing. Th restaurant has an amazing vibe, the food is mouth watering and the service was exceptional. We will be back for sure!

Arrived to no hostess to seat us. Watched as countless servers walked by. Finally ordered and received a Tasteless burger and over salted fries. Won't go back

Absolutely love this place! Perfect atmosphere, comfy seats, amazing service, wonderful and delicious menu (that often changes), creative seasonal cocktail menu, charming and clean washrooms, and knowledgeable and friendly servers. Only two negatives: sometimes it takes a few minutes to be seated (no hostess) and not wheelchair accessible (as far as I am aware- although it may be, but it's not obvious). MUST TRY DATE NIGHT PLACE.

The Walper has been our home away from home for a while. These renown have been a long time coming guys. Can't wait to see how the place finishes up! (I was surprised there was no prohibition-era references in the new decor) Thanks for the delicious dinner last night!

Staff were less than friendly and it took quite a long time to get a drink while sitting at the bar. We had asked for a table when one was open. When one came open the host said, You can have the table if you plan to eat. We left and went over to the B at the museum.
