Thursday July 07,2022 Our first visit to this location in Kitchener. Great customer service and great menu. Delicious food with large portions pictures says it all. Served with complimentary bottle water and dessert on the house. Thank you for your special treats. Prices are very reasonable! Highly recommended to visit and enjoy their menu items.

One of the best tandoori chicken biryani.. although I find the quantity a bit less in comparison with its price. But nonetheless it tastes great. It comes with naan, side salad and small packets of chutney and yogurt. Since it’s a take out due to pandemic, the packaging was good too. Would like to try more from this restaurant. πŸ‘πŸ»

Used to be our favorite place for Indian/Eastern food, but our two latest take out experiences were not that great. Some food was great, some wasn't, the customer service wasn't great. About a month or so ago, we ordered a take out , in the form of the curbside pick up. We ordered online and arrived about 20-30 min after ordering. Upon arrival,we called the place and were told to wait about 5 or so min. Ok, waited about 25 min, called again and then the food came out. Looks like they have forgotten. Today, we have ordered a lot of food , including the breast with kabuli rice, and tandoori with plain rice , but instead of 2 kabuli rice and two plain rice, we received 3 plain rice and one kabuli. The chicken , both tandoori and the breast tasted great. The steamed rice was dry and one portion was kind of burned. The beef...we couldn't taste it because there was just one piece that was edible. The rest of the tikka kabob we just pieces of fat which were inedible.

Maybe ownership has changed, but this place is no longer what it used to be. It's very sorry inside, food is never completed on time or correctly. I paid $170 for 8 meals to go, and they gave almost nothing for the salads (see the picture). Plus they made me wait an extra 40 mins for me food, only to have chicken literally be cold and uncooked in the chicken masala. I get days can be busy and crowded, but this is unacceptable.

This restaurant is a disservice to Afghan and most likely to Indian cuisine too. They sell these ashes under the name Chopan Kabob (see photo). They provide the worst customer service. They had me wait 30 minutes for my food, and when I requested for it, they said, "Ohh sorry, we didn't process your order because there was some problem in the machine ," and other such nonsense. Anyway, I waited another 30 minutes for my order, but when I opened it (at home), there was one thing missing for which I had paid, and the order goods were not securely packaged. The rice was hard (half-cooked), and the lamb kabobs were nothing more than ashes. The Naan was the only item we could eat. Apart from the food, the service is terrible..the restaurant looks like a children's playroom. There was no order...and it was filthy.

I went to Chopan Kabob and asked which of their biryani is the best. They recommend chicken Biryani. Very disappointed with the food . The Chicken is so dry looks like frozen. Not at all happy

I am so sad! This used to be my favorite place to order tandoori chicken rice. The food i received was reheated and not fresh. I gave them 3 chances but disappointed all 3 times :( , Chicken was way overcooked, rice was hard and chewy and the carrots were dehydrated! I have heard there are new owners so i am guessing that is the reason for this kind of quality.

I worked at a Indian restaurant in guelph a while back and they had in my opinion, the best Indian food ever. I have visited several restaurant in kW and none compared to that restaurant.. until today. Chopan kabob is the best in the area. I had butter chicken and beef karihi . Oh my goodness. So good. Im will be a forever client of yours now. Thank you!. Excellent food and service. .. PS: and I asked for mild food and they actually made it mild!!. ( All other places never did even though I asked several times). πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

I've been to this restaurant a few times and have never been disappointed. Everything iv tried has been fantastic.I've taken friends and family here and everyone has loved it. Some of my favorite dishes are the Aushak, Kabulee Palao, Bandejan borani and the Firni. The atmosphere is very laid back and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. One of my favorite Indian/Pakistani/Afghani restaurants in the Waterloo region.

The worst food ever. It's old and and has no taste. I went yesterday and got sick and when complained about the food they told me there is Notting wrong with it. They also said you afghan always have a problem and that's why the country is in crisis. I will never go there again very bad experience and also very bad customer service.

AUTHENTIC, DELICIOUS, REASONABLE PRICE. This was my first experience with Afghani/Pakistani/Indian food and it did not disappoint! My companion and I had aushak, butter chicken curry dish, chicken, chicken and beef tikka kabobs all served with homemade naan. The meats were well spiced and everything was cooked perfectly and the service was helpful and warm. Going into ethnic restaurants can feel intimidating and you don't always feel welcomed but this is certainly not the case with Chopan Kabob which was very welcoming! Good thing I live close because I will be back!
