Review Lancaster Smokehouse - Kitchener

You gotta eat here. The experience begins the moment you walk through the doors. The service and atmosphere really encapsulated the idea of a southern style BBQ spot. The variety and ability to mix and match various meats and sides is great. Nashville hot chicken is the closest thing you can get to Nashville up north. Brisket has great flavour, and I was given a variety of fattier and leaner pieces. Don't get me started on the ribs. So good. Fell off the bone and melted in my mouth good. The baked beans were cooked and rendered within pork fat and had the most amazing smokey flavour. Lets not forget the details of a buttery cornbread and pickled onions on the side. Although pricey, I understand the value of every component added to my platter!

My new favorite smokehouse, and I've been to a few!! It's no wonder they were featured on Food Networks "You Gotta Eat Here "! Loved the vibe of this place, they smoke everything themselves every day, and have their own signature sauces. Today we stopped in for lunch and had the pulled pork sandwich and brisket sandwich. Pulled pork was amazing and this is the best brisket I've ever eaten!! Sides were bomb too, but the smoke is what's important and they nail it. Portion sizes are hardy, and prices are reasonable. If you've not been here yet, what are you waiting for?!

Went as a group in order to get the family platter. We got the brisket, ribs, sausage, and pulled pork. All the meat were extremely juicy and flavourful, the sauce really elevated it. The sweet potato fries were worth the upgrade, and I especially liked the Mac and cheese. Fried chicken was also cooked and seasoned nicely. I was tempted to say the waffle was too small but in fact it was the chicken that had huge portions. Service was very friendly as always. Love this place.

4.5/5 Highlights were the sides and brisket. They were both top notch. I got to try the brisket, ribs and pulled pork. Brisket as I said were good, pulled pork was above average but the ribs left a lot to be desired. Ribs were not fall off the bone tender and were actually quite firm. Other than the ribs everything else was good as it had generous portions and pricing.

Great ambiance, cozy and exactly how a smoke house should be like. Food was decent but not the best smoked meat I have had. Flavors were great but everything was bit dry. Sides were delicious, particularly sweet fries and brussel sprouts. Also bit on the pricier side, about $40 per person. If you're around the neighborhood it's worth trying but not worth driving a while to get there.

Used to be a regular but had not been since about 2015 as my daughter's went vegetarian. Finally got back in Sept. Kicking myself for not doing so sooner. Food is just as good as ever and several of the staff were the same....that says something. Enjoyed it so much was back again in early November. Local food and drinks in a a chilled out atmosphere where they care. You need to go.

A wonderful find that I've been waiting years to go to here. The staff is wonderfully helpful and considerate. There's a great atmosphere with good patio lighting inside. The food is delicious and totally flavourful with a great combo of spices, smoke, and bbq sauce. The house brew is also delicious. Would very much come again.

Had a great time last night. The food was delicious and came fast and in massive portions. As a couple, we got the 4 meat platter and took most of it home. The sweet potato fries are amazing too. Their BBQ sauces are really good and our waiter was really attentive. He was always there when we needed him.

One of the best smoke house of the area. The staff were very friendly. The portion is big and enough for two person. At the weekend you have to wait around 45 minutes if you go walk in. I highly recommend beef brisket whit sweet potatoes and bins.
