Again, very rare i give 5 stars but Tom's place deserves it. Hard to describe this place but its very cozy unlike any place you will have been in. All arm chairs, booths with a roaring fire place, friendly and helpful staff, reasonable prices and good food. If i might recommend a good red wine, it's this one attached JP Chenet. I had a glass. It's smooth as butter. Ask staff for it as I don't think its on the menu yet but the waitress we had recommended it and said it was new. It's exceptional.

What a cozy, cute, warm place to have a few drinks! Absolutely loved our experience here at Tom’s Place, even super busy Bruce kept a smile on his face the whole time and provided excellent customer service. Bruce, you made our trip so much better here in Kingston, thank you!

My family visited Tom’s Place on February 8th around 1pm for lunch. It was our first meal out as a family since the beginning of the pandemic and we had an absolutely wonderful experience thanks to our server Diane. She was very accommodating and patient with my parents who like to joke around with servers haha! Thank you Diane for making our experience wonderful with your lovey disposition! We will definitely be back and hope you will be our server again.

Love this place! This restaurant may get over looked by visitors to the city because its not downtown but it is definitely worth paying a visit to. They have great food, a cozy atmosphere and the BEST nachos!

Ordered an appetizer (bruschetta), and for the main I had the fish & chips. Both were incredible! I would absolutely return. I should have ordered the two piece fish because I was left wanting more! Service was good too. The atmosphere is cozy and feels nostalgic. Not many places left that look and feel this way, and it was very refreshing.

The decor was lovely, but their knowledge of a gluten allergy was not! Either they were not careful with special prep of nachos or it was a straight up mistake. As well, my friend’s fish and chips looked like they were frozen fish sticks. She didn’t even eat them. So disappointed.

Went here for dinner. Food was ok, I ordered the Blackened Chicken Sandwich on Focaccia, with Caesar Salad side. It came on a Chiabatta bun, not Focaccia. The tables aren't long enough to to accommodate the four big chairs so for four to sit down to eat isn't easy. Nice place to sit with friends and have a few drinks though, and the staff are great. Just not a great place for a meal.

A unique dining experience that is laid-back and intimate where you can enjoy a whole evening from aperitifs to appetizers, and from entrées to dessert. Don't expect more than pub quality food but offers friendly service and a relaxed and comfortable night out.

Somewhat dated however comfortable for a sociable or two with the large chairs and fireplaces. The staff were friendly and service was quick. We were initially pleased with the pub like menu that had tasty description. Unfortunatley that is where the positive ended. The food while served quickly was anything but tasty nor did it match the quality of the writing on the menu. Our meals were less than hot, bread was soggy, and the main courses were bland at best. The steak which was to have been dry rubbed and grilled to perfection was certainly cooked to our liking but had no taste. The burger which was touted as being made from fresh ground beef appeared to just thawed from a box purchased from the local grocery. Overall a disappointing experience not to be tried again.

Not Impressed. The wait staff are great. Service is quick. The decor is a bit dated. Not a window in site. <br/><br/>The food was not great. t was overcooked, under seasoned, bland and soggy. We did not finsh either of our meals, Prices are reasonable.
