Great food and very friendly service! The Smokin' Baton is probably the best chicken sandwich I have ever eaten - and apparently underrated because a server once told me it's not ordered that often! Also, their soups of the day are phenomenal - even if you don't think you like the sounds of it, try it and in my experience they do not disappoint. A bit of a hidden gem due to location - I am definitely going to miss this place when I leave Kingston, but will stop in whenever I am back in town! 5 out of 5!
This restaurant is fantastic! Excellent service and excellent food. We had the chef's mussels which were delicious, the fish tacos and the spinachia pizza. All were amazing! What is really nice is that there are lots of gluten free options (buns, , wraps, pizza crust). We will be definitely eating there again!
Such an amazing place. The food was epic. With children, I would recommend this place to families. Prices are good as well
We made a reservation for 8ppl for 730pm on a Saturday (ended up only 6 could attend) The party before us took longer than expected, but obviously that's beyond the control of the staff/restaurant.
Once we were seated, we were served quickly and the meal was well worth the wait! Everyone was very pleased with the food and service. My seared sirloin was exactly how I ordered, the soup of the day was incredible. I didn't leave hungry. I would definitely dine here again.

It was a busy night with Sir Elton John in town. We were coming from out of town and made a reservation the night before the show (we had called one of our favourite places but it was fully book). What a pleasant surprise, that not only did they squeeze us in, but the food was lovely and we could walk to the KRock center from the restaurant. The server was friendly and knew the dishes. She made a great recommendation to pair a chardonnay with the rich, saucy house made gnocchi. She accurately described the dish. My only negative comment was I did find it a bit gummy; I was expecting the sweet potato gnocchi to be a bit lighter...more fluffy. I tried the short ribs, which melted in my mouth and had a wonderful sauce and was served over fantastically smashed potatoes with a lovely, creamy, earthy flavour. Service was a bit slow, as our drinks ran dry; however it was extremely busy. We were warmly greeted by the front of the house on the way in and out. All four of us agreed we would go back again!
Husband and I hate a late lunch here on a trip to Kingston, the place was highly recommend to us by someone that us to live here. Food was amazing and the service was great too. Would definitely return.
What incredible atmosphere and food! You folks definitely know how to make a guy relax, and enjoy a delicious meal, and I of course have to give a special nod to Michaela (tricky name to spell, so sorry in advance), our server who had a winning attitude and some killer service the whole time!
I know where to go when I want to be well looked after, and fed like a King; will definitely be back!
I was at the spud a few days ago for the first time, and I was very pleasantly surprised at how amazing the food was, and at how fantastic the service was. I believe our server's name was mikaela, and she was an absolute delight! She answered all the questions we had regarding the menu and managed to carry a very pleasant conversation with all of us! I would definitely recommend to anybody!
First but won't be the last visit next time in Kingston. 4 different meals ordered & all were excellent, staff very friendly & helpful. Prices were not outrageous & the beer ice cold. Quick walk from downtown. Only lacking an outside patio
Amazing dinner and probably the best Caesar salad I’ve ever had. Everyone in our party loved their dishes. Will definitely become a regular spot for me now.
The Rustic Spud served an excellent and nostalgic meal to a bunch of reminiscing friends in July 2017. A half dozen of us returned two nights later and had another excellent meal and just stayed for the ambiance. Great service, great food!

Wow! Hubby and I just had dinner and oh my!!!! Hubby can't stop racing about his burger. The asparagus soup is wonderful. Dessert was deep fried cheesecake. Holy that was beautiful. The staff is excellent. Thank you for a great experience we will be back!

My first time RusticSpud was yesterday, and it won't be my last. It was fantastic. Server was friendly, kind and knowledgeable about the food. The FOOD was amazing! I had the pizza, and it was perfect. can't wait to try the rest of the menu. See you again soon Rustic Spud. A true gem in the Kingston Crown of Restaurants.

Amazing food!! So full had to take home a "doggie " bag.. and no I ate it not the dog !! Great atmosphere. Bravo to the chef, the sous chef and all those that work in and out of the kitchen. We will definitely be back !!
Friendly staff. Food was ok - I've been here twice before but this time I was a little disappointed. The drinks and appetizers came quickly but the mains seemed to take longer than usual. I had fish tacos. They were luke warm and the fish was a little dry. I've had this dish before and my experience was the opposite. My drink was great. The hostess and our server were very friendly and tended to our group's requests immediately. Everyone else felt the same - food not as good as usual but the service was.
Wasn't sure at first, but when we started it was great. They allowed our husky on the patio, and even took the effort to remember her name. The food was exceptional. We got the sweet potato gnocchi, and a burger with fries. I would easily recommend both.
Myself and three others had dinner reservations for 6pm. We were seated right away and dinner menus were brought shortly afterwards. I had the smokey tequila cocktail how creative and tasty. We all enjoyed our meals they were scrumptious. Our friends had been there previously and I would definitely go back and recommend it to others.
