Everything we purchased was delicious! Make sure to check out this hidden gem next time you are in Kemptville. If you go there with a stroller, try to leave it outside the store if you can because there is limited room inside.
Bought an impulsively delicious baguette, four croissants for breakfast, and two fruit turnovers; one of which tasted warm as if it was out of the oven that morning. Very nice.
The baguette? We've been eating it before our former baguette ( impulse buy remember ) and it's so much better.
If you haven't experienced the yummy baked goods at Grahame's bakery, You are missing out! Baked in historical woodfire oven. You will be getting a treat your taste buds will thank you for. They will make you remember the way your grandmother's baking made you feel.
Fascinating historic place. A really old oven, warm service, nice people. Place smelled of baked goods and goodness. Had a butter tart and was even give a mini tour and history lesson. Must go. A place see place when you're innthr area or as a day trip.
We had our second wonderful experience at the amazing and world famous Grahame's Bakery in Kemptville. How many bakeries use a wood fired burning oven? We pre-ordered 2 dozen of the fabulous Cinnamon Buns and I must say they are the best buns in the East & West. We also grabbed a dozen mixed donuts which were so delicious- melt in your mouth fresh. The staff and baker are the most friendly and accommodating folks almost better than the wood baked oven treats, almost! This is our go to Bakery as it's worth the trip from Ottawa and next time we will order the famous Apple Fritters and Butter Tarts. Make sure you get there early or order ahead as these wonderful treats move fast off the shelves. This Bakery is truly a Bakery icon in Kemptville! Wish I could give them 10 stars!
