5 servers, 13 tables of people, and the service was exceptionally slow. They closed the kitchen and we're turning people away, but giving absolutely no explanation or apologies. Waited 10 minutes to be seated in a half empty restaurant. Waited 15 minutes to see our server. Waited almost an hour for food. Still no apologies or explanation.
Would likely not come back nor ever recommend anyone to come here.
UPATE: I received a message from the new General Manager who apologized for the terrible experience and offered a free meal to show us how the restaurant has changed under his new management.
I have to say it was absolutely wonderful. Our server was kind and efficient. The food was absolutely fantastic and came quickly. The restaurant was clean and inviting. I would absolutely recommend it now, knowing that they are being managed by a man that truly cares about customer's experiences!!
Our server Danielle was amazing; friendly, personable, attentive and helpful. The food was great; arrived within a reasonable time, was plentiful and very tasty! Will definitely be returning.

Really good food, better than it has any right to be. My son commented that the chef certainly was not limited by Ricky's ingredients. They do serve alcohol but the drink menu is limited. It's worth noting that you can order a full Christmas dinner that includes a slice of pie and glass of wine. I'm assuming this delicious option is seasonal. Look forward to stuffing my word hole there again.
Always had loved Ricky's chicken tenders and this review speaks to the same. They are juicy, flavorful, and above the quality of many other restaurants. I got them for takeout and they were prepared quickly. I ordered online and had no issues during the process. They came in a cardboard box nice and hot while the fries came in a bag. I can see sweating being a issue but luckily I didn't have to go far to where I was staying before I could dig in. The fries were really tasty but a tad too salty. I think this is due to them being in a bag and they were probably salted in the bag allowing more salt to be caught. Meal came with coleslaw also but I don't eat it so can't speak to it.
Overall highly recommend the chicken tender meal.
Exceptional Restaraunt! We were down for medical appointments and were blown away by the meals and service. Dinner salad was fresh, varied, and crisp with a large garlic bun that was so good you would think my mom made it!
Breakfast the next day was superb. I had their named breakfast with two perfectly poached eggs, bacon, sausage, and two fluffy huge pancakes! It also included toast, which I substituted for a fruit bowl. Love it.
All this was topped off by a lovely, excellent attentive waitress, Maria. I hope her manager knows what a gem she is.
I'm going back the next chance I get!
A friend suggested I try Ricky's in Kelowna as they had a holiday turkey dinner special. I am glad I took his advice. The food was excellent, well thought out and plenty of it. More food on the plate than pictured on the brochure and at a reasonable price. The highlight was my server Maria. She took a genuine interest in making sure I was happy with the food. Even though she was busy she never made me feel rushed. To her boss I would say she is a keeper.
I ordered 2 Classic Clubhouse Sandwiches with tomato basil soup and fries on the side (takeout). Sandwiches were good with chicken pieces and not deli meat but the bread was a little dry. I toasted the bread at home. Soup was good, densely flavoured. It tasted like it was made in the restaurant not some canned version. Didn’t like the fries, they were pretty soggy and not fresh at all. So overall nice!
Excellent food , eggs all cooked perfectly. The waitress was down to earth, friendly and went above and beyond to keep our daughter happy with fruit snacks , juice, toys. It was a very enjoyable experience. I didn't catch the waitresses name but she was an older lady and we dined Monday morning around 10am . This lady didn't forget one single thing in our group of 4 and the service was very fast, can't say enough good things about this waitress. Thank you for your hospitality!
EDIT: Have been back to this location several times since my Thanksgiving dinner experience. So much better!! Staff continue to be courteous and quick to seat patrons and take order. Tried several items as suggested by my server. All were great. Will definitely be a regular at this location.
Original post : Took so long to be seated. Now taking so long after order was placed. Lineup of patrons at the door. My patience is running thin. Very short staffed on this shift. First time here and not a good experience.
We were here for breakfast. Friendly service, super quiet location. The restaurant is clean. The restrooms are dated and could definitely use an upgrade. The food was plentiful, but nothing special. Service was quick and efficient. A good place to go for a quick bite.
Great food. I come up here with my boys a lot and always enjoy the experience. We had a great server a few times named Maria, don't see her around anymore but deserves a 5 star rating. She was absolutely stunning and great at her job. Tyler is great too, come often for breakfast and really enjoy talking with him. Highly recommend the clubhouse and chicken po'boy! Overall always a great time.
I never write reviews but we have ordered from Ricky's a number of times recently when we have had late out of town guests. The food is always super fresh, with great ingredients. Very quick service, and always consistently delicious. They even took our order after closing this evening (we didn't realize), called to ensure the order was correct, and had amazing customer service. I have lived down the street for 20 years and had no idea about this little gem.
Always enjoy this Ricky's in Kelowna! Best Tomato Basil soup around. As a retired executive chef, if I'm in the mood for a hot comfort food, this soup is a must! Service is always excellent! Well done Ricky's...again!
After a very disappointing evening at another restaurant, where the food was awful, we called around to find a place that served pie and coffee. Ricky's had three varieties of homemade pies, so we stopped by. The servers were very lovely. One girl was only on her second shift, but she was delightfully accommodating. The pies were DELICIOUS! We tried the peach pie with ice cream and we tried the cherry pie with whipped cream. It made up for an otherwise unpalatable evening elsewhere, with delicious little individual little pies that delighted the tastebuds. We will be back again. Thank you!
The Ricky's burger was awesome, fries were really hot, fresh but just a tad overcooked. Other than that, the service was great!. Great place for families to get a good, reasonable meal
