I have had Chinese food from many many places, I used to live in Vancouver so unfortunately I have high standards. I thought I would try this new place so I ordered three dishes. I was a little nervous about trying a new place but I do not regret it. The three dishes were up to par and I would order here again. It's not the best place I've ever had but its a a great place for some local takeout. I really enjoy spring rolls and I order them everywhere I go, these ones the seasoning tasted unbalanced but I will defiantly try them again hopefully they will be better next time at $1.75 each. The other dishes were well made. Solid local take out.
May 19, 2017: Came again on a Friday night, tried two different items this time from last time. There wasn't anyone in the restaurant at the time(8pm) but they were super busy with takeout and delivery orders. So my suggestion is if you want to do takeout: call and order ahead instead of walking in and waiting.
What we had: Vegetable fried rice, Chinese vegetarian delight, Spicy squid and Singapore fried noodles (without pork). We hadn't tried the spicy squid or Singapore noodles here before and they were both really good! I don't really eat seafood anymore but I tried a bite of the spicy squid and it was yummy - lightly battered and fried tossed in a savoury seasoning and some chilli flakes. The Singapore noodles were yummy and flavourful. I forgot to ask for no egg since I don't eat it but i ate around it and was yummy and u would order it again. My fiancé really enjoyed both dishes and said he would order them again as well.

May 10, 2017: Ate here today for the first time. Was surprised when we walked in. Had been avoiding this place because of the exterior look, the strip it's in just looks old and dated. But anyway the interior looks like it's been updated and it was clean.
And they have large round tables, so they can accommodate big groups.
We ordered: veggie fried rice, Chinese vegetarian delight without tofu, and ma Po tofu without meat.
Was also really surprised by the food. The fried rice could have used more veggies but the seasoning and flavour was good - it had that smokey wok fried flavour and I enjoyed it.
I really liked the Chinese vegetarian delight, it had glass noodles, mixed veg and was in yummy sauce.
The ma Po tofu was good, too spicy for me but it'smy fiancées favourite dish and he lovessss spicy and he enjoyed this dish a lot.
Service was good, the girl was friendly and nice.
Will be back!
My suggestions would be: get rid of the purple chairs, maybe add some tall plants or something, get new signage made to attract new customers, ask the landlord to repaint the green exterior a different colour to make the strip look nicer and less dated, play some light music.

Three more visits, three more outstanding dinners for our family and friends. My dear wife tells me that this is the best Ginger Beef of her life. She knows her Ginger Beef! Good job guys.
Best Chinese food in Kelowna! Ginger beef is great...actually everything was great. Super friendly.
Awesome food. I've had it before in the past and its always so fresh and yummy
Wok inn ruts is da bomb diggity ! Always fresh , huge servings and fast friendly service....
Absolutely delicious. Fabulous service. Freshest fish and vegetables were just perfect. We also had spicy squid, and ginger beef. And it was all so tasty. I counted 7 staff members that either said hello, took our orders, brought us food and drinks. Best service. Thank you Wok Inn!
Inconsistent but still good. One of the better places in Kelowna for americanized Chinese food. Quality, freshness and portion size is clearly enhanced by eating in. Sometimes the food is inconsistent in terms of flavour and the ginger beef, which for me is the best in the town, can vary quite wildly in terms of sweetness, batter thickness and gingery-ness. Service is always prompt, pleasant and attentive. Overall a safe recommendation when you're craving deep-fried saucy goodness.
Consistent.. If you're a fan of the Wok Out in Glenmore, then you'll find the same taste and food quality here. This place and Wok Out is still (so far) one of my dining partners favourite places for Ginger Beef. My only complaint with our last dinging experience was the Almond Chicken. Some pieces were a little thin and got overcooked, which is fine. They sent a sauce for it in our take out order, that I'd like to tell you what it was, but to be honest I have no clue! It had a bit of a fish sauce and garlic taste, but the consistency of the sauce was that of mucus. Not very appetizing and didn't add anything to the meal! Fortunately the Almond Chicken was OK on it's own.
I wish them luck in their current location, as I can see parking becoming a real bugger for their customers.
As far as generic western Chinese food goes this is the best in town. Fast, friendly, the decor is lacking but I only ever get take out anyway.. They also have some semi-traditional dishes, the spicy squid was amazing. Fair prices, but beware of the bland won ton soup..

Incident. There was an incident with a customer who ordered delivery and claimed that there was a chicken bone in her chicken balls which is rare. The process of making chicken balls is that each chicken breast is cut every half an inch and manually mix into the batter. It is unlikely that an inch long chicken bone would go unnoticed. It's not impossible but rarely does it ever happen. The restaurant owner did offer this customer credit for that entree which is reasonable yet the customer refused that offer and demanded their entire bill to be refunded. There had also been other complaints from this very same customer prior to this incident so hopefully she finds the right kind of restaurant she's seeking for. Wok Inn Restaurant would like every customer to have a good experience dinning with them and are always happy to help.
VERY GOOD!. A friend told me about this place I drive by it everyday and I would never be one to stop there as it is a dive. It is very good food and very nice people. so if you can look past the image its GREAT!
Good!. The take-out food and service was really good, shame about the decor and cleanliness.
Very traditional and filling... But must really like Chinese taste or you will not like the food
Excellent soups! We haven’t tried every dish but the hot and sour soup is amazing and the wor wonton soup? Wow. Might not look like much from the street, but you’ll be well fed and satisfied.
This place is pretty good. Decent Chinese food and got my food quickly. Definitely under staffed though. Poor girl had 4 phones ringing and a line up.
We are from Ontario and enjoyed our dinner very much. I would recommend it to anyone. Great service too.
The best chow mein in Kelowna! So many veggies and the takeout portions are massive. Literally going back every week. Top level Asian food. Can’t beat it in this part of town.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It's was extremely busy in the restaurant for pick up . They have a restaurant to sit and eat. The service was friendly and the food was fantastic. I would just say if your family is big eaters, order 1 size larger in family deals . I'd recommend this place hands down .
We pre ordered New Years Eve dinner via Skip the dishes. It took a lot longer than I ordered it for. But I expected that as it is New Years. We tipped our courier well being as he was stuck waiting too. But It all worked out. And boy was it ever good. I am not usually one to like chow mein, but theirs was amazing. Everything we ordered, I would order again. Just so good.
I recently ordered take-out from Wok Inn Restaurant in Kelowna and was extremely impressed with my experience. The food was delicious and arrived hot and fresh. The portions were generous and the flavors were authentic. I particularly enjoyed chicken chow mein, and the sweet and sour pork. I will definitely be ordering from here again in the future! Highly recommend for those looking for great take-out Chinese food in Kelowna.
Consistently good food time after time. Best value for Chinese in Kelowna with so many places raising prices so dramatically. We need to support these places that are trying to keep their prices low.
The best Chinese food I love the spicy squid & ginger beef ! Always fresh and large portions great service and fast delivery highly recommended
Great meal, good prices. Sweet and sour chicken balls are mostly chicken with a great thin layer of batter!
English is a second language so our phone order turned out to be unfortunately almond chicken instead of lemon chicken. I'm allergic to nuts, so it left a lot for my wife to eat (2nd meal).
Food and service exceeded expectations. Just ordered take out from the restaurant and had to write that the food was excellent. We ordered Ginger Beef, Kung Pao Chicken and Singapore Noodles. The food was hot and tasted great and the chef uses zero trans fat and no hydrogenated oil. We will definitely order food here again.
Fresh and delicious Chinese food. Easy to choose between different dishes in the "Dinner for 4" and get something for everyone. Plus there's always leftovers!
