Very impressed with the fact that the chicken balls were “chicken” not balls of dough. Very good food even though very busy with take out orders. Loved the homemade egg rolls!
Fresh, fast and full of flavor. Most dishes are fairly low in sodium too (other than dark sauces ie. black bean sauce.) Staff is very friendly and delivery driver will even drive to the other side of town to deliver your order. The only downside are they are closed on Tuesdays and they are not open for lunch (they do not open up till 3:30pm.)
First time ordering from here. Best spicy ginger beef I've had in Kelowna. Will definitely order again.
This resturant is amazing. The food is always so fresh and delicious. Best Chinese food around. I recommend it to all of my friends. Added bonus - the people are so nice. From the take out drivers to the resturant staff - just friendly and amazing!

Best Chinese in Kelowna by far. I've been eating here since 2005 and it is my goto Chinese spot in Kelowna. My only problem is when they close down shop randomly for a month to go back to China and I am left with no Chinese. We used to leave messages on their answering machine to deliver 4 combo E's directly to our place as soon as they returned.

They're hiring.. It's been hard for them to find good staff. They've tried many people, but few are good workers. If you're interested, a fast worker and nice to customers, the owners will let you try working there. Some of the servers are great, but had some lousy ones too. Owners are nice but not too good at picking good staff. Maybe it's because they're too nice?
The floors & bathroom had a reno and the walls are different. Also the chairs were changed since I last went there a couple years ago.
So this time I tried ordering for take out. I love the ginger beef since I can taste the real honey. It's the only place in Kelowna that uses real honey. I didn't like the chicken chow mein (fried noodles) because it was a bit too salty. Spring rolls were crispy & large. Shrimp with cashews & veggies is a little sweeter than I prefer but still fresh & tasty. Veggies had a lot of sauce so careful when carrying it to your car. Noticed the fresh garlic in dry garlic ribs. Still miss the old chefs, but at least they still have the same ginger beef & sweet & sour pork.
BEST Chinese in town, hands down. Great food, they nearly always have our order done quickly, and they give cash discount!

WOW! WHAT A GEM OF A PLACE!. We just moved to Kelowna, and were craving some Chinese Food, so we looked here for reviews, and went against our instincts and tried a couple places mentioned that had so-so reviews. What a mistake that was. We thought this place was worthy of trying from the reviews and it was closer to our home too. We both got the Combo "E" and Lemon Chicken. It was "eyes roll in the back of your head" GOOD!! I'm huge on the texture of my food and the meat was crispy, but not chewy at all, with the perfect amount of sauce. They even cut a hole in the container so the chicken wouldn't get soggy. It's the details, ya know? Love that. Don't even get me started on the Chow Mien! I will be thinking of it for a long time, I'm sure. It was incredible. It had the best grill taste to it. Grill flavor on chow mien...how do they do that!? They are open at 3pm most days, and we got our take-out at 3pm, took 30 mins. but holy smokes was it worth every minute. So glad to find a solid Chinese Restaurant in Kelowna!

Always liked this place however their special has gone from 9 something to 12. I would rather a buttet for a buck more. Value is gone here. Sorry. Food is very good though, you will like this place.

Impressive!. After hearing about this place for a long time, we finally got around to trying it out. With a family gathering, we decided on take out instead of dining in. Since most of my dining companions aren't into spicy or hot foods, our selections were within the "norm" for choices (beef and veggies, lemon chicken, honey garlic ribs, chicken chow mein, and BBQ pork fried rice). We were told it could be up to an hour for delivery, but they would try to be sooner. Delivery time was around 35 to 40 minutes.
The Good: Everything tasted amazing! Each dish had tons of flavour and stood out on it's own. The lemon chicken sauce was served on the side so it wasn't soaking in the sauce, and the sauce itself had a nice tart flavour with just a hint of sweetness. The chicken in the chow mein had a grilled flavour to it. Myself and my dining companions all agreed on how good the food was. In my opinion, it's some of the best Chinese food I've experienced in the city.
The Bad: It's one of those meals that no matter how much you eat, it's never enough, and you just want more! My taste buds were begging for more while my stomach was screaming for mercy. I ate way to much, but everything was so good!
I highly recommend this place, and it's one of my new favourites!

Fantastic Chinese Food. I have been searching for a good Chinese restaurant in Kelowna for the past 3 years and I have finally found it and more. I ordered a dinner for 2 for pick-up at 6:30 PM on New Years Eve and when I arrived to pick up my meal I found controlled chaos, what a popular hidden gem. Food was ready on time, hot and fresh from the kitchen and it was excellent. A bit of a drive for me but well worth it.
Delicious hot on arrival very tasty one of the best tasting Chinese restraunts. Typical selection but you can tell its not pulled off a buffet . Very nice delivery driver :)

Only place i go for chinese. I have tried most of places in town for chinese and i must say this lil hole in the wall place is the best!! i have never been disappointed, ive never gotten a wrong order. reasonably priced. wether i go in and get or order out! always fresh always hot always good.
Hidden Gem. Worth the drive to Rutland. The quality is easily comparable to the best takeout places in the Lower Mainland; generous portions and great flavours. The honey garlic chicken is amazing; fantastic taste and texture, possibly the best Chinese takeout item I've ever had. Staff is friendly and very attentive to special dietary needs.
Not much in the way of atmosphere - it's really just a takeout place with a few tables; order a soft drink with your food and you're getting a can and a straw. If it's cold out, sit near the back or get hit by the breeze whenever someone walks in.
I've been ordering from this place since the early 2000s. Their Chow Mein is by far the best in town!! Staff is always very friendly and good sized portions.

Well we gave them one more shot tonight, ordered three meals approx $80 with tip and delivery. It was amazing, very fresh, very very hot! Tasted exactly how it used to, before their closure for renovations. We are very happy that the old Imperial banquet is back❤️💛
We used to order only from Imperial Banquet..was excellent food.... Then they closed for months and months and months... Just ordered tonight and it tasted like warmed up, day old food. Don't know what's changed but the food quality has gone down hill. Very disappointing. We'll be going to the Wok in from now on...
The ginger beef is everything that I have hoped it would be. The Shanghai noodles and vegetables were just as yummy.
Could have used some music inside the restaurant - little too quiet.

Clean restaurant, fast service, waitress and front staff very polite.
We ordered the "dinner for 3" combination, and although well cooked and generally tasty, we found it to be really quite salty. Particularly the beef & broccoli - we had to mix it with other things to bring down the salt because it was hard to eat. Food alone would be 3 stars, but the excellent customer services puts it at 4 stars. I may go back one day to try it again and see if things are a bit better, and I will write a new review at that time :)
Over the last month I have had a craving for Chinese food . My first takeout order was from the Asian Pear. The food looked good. Unfortunately it had no taste. It was flat and needed to be doctored up with salt and pepper. Not impressed. Next it was off to the 88 Grand for take out. Not impressed. The lemon chicken was like trying to crack through walnut shells with your teeth.Rock hard and a lot of batter with no chicken. Tonight was my firsts time for Imperial Banquet. No disappointments here ! Everything was bang on. Thank you. I will be back.
These people are reliable & consistent, we order in, sometimes get delivered. Every time its the same, arrives hot and never disappoints. Authentic Chinese. Generous portions. Fair prices.

I ate here about once a week for the 6 years I lived in Kelowna. The food is consistently great and you can make your own personalized one-person meal. The family who owns the place are wonderful too. I would take all my visiting friends and family here (mostly just for the excuse to eat here!). Very fair prices and wait times for take out.
Pretty good food and the 2 person meal was a fantastic deal. The only thing I was disappointed about was how soft the ginger beef was. It wasn’t very crispy and there was too much sauce. Other than that everything else was great
