Review Moose Lounge - Kelowna

A great family experience. We had 4 kids 16, 6,4 and 22mo, and they all had activities to do. Day Care for the little ones to full day ski lessons (8:30am to 3:15/4pm). The snow was great even though it has been a tough season for ski resorts. Lots of restaurant, coffee and Bar options as well as a local market with hot food options. The most impressive impression was really how friendly and helpful the staff was everywhere. I will be back next year.

Big White Mountain Resort is a breathtaking winter wonderland that captivates with its stunning landscapes. The staff's friendliness adds a warm touch to the experience, making every visit memorable. The skiing and tubing adventures are nothing short of amazing, providing exhilarating moments for the whole family. Our family genuinely loves the charm and excitement that Big White offers, making it our go-to destination for winter fun.

We went there in July. It was really beautiful - save for the regular hailstorms and thunder on the way up and down (which I thought was pretty amazing). Very quiet, not many people, very beautiful. Most places didn't seem open on the Sunday we were there.

Possibly the best family resort around, at least the best I’ve been to in the past 35 years of skiing. Let me explain. The village and all accommodations are in the ski hill, access is always a quick walk or slide away. At 5700 feet elevation for the village the snow is excellent, and light, the words champagne powder are often used to describe powered days and with an average snowfall of 750 calm, there’s usually plenty of it. The terrain is fantastic for almost every skier and snowboarder. We were so impressed when we came up a couple of years ago we actually bought a place up here and even the kids prefer it to the resorts closer to Vancouver. When you’re not on the hill there’s great restaurants a fantastic laidback vibe. There’s tubing, hiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling all on the hill. There’s a ton to do in general. It’s also 45 minute from the Kelowna international airport, and the city itself and about a million wineries. There’s even mountain biking in the summer which is fantastic and getting better every season. I highly recommend it if your looking for a ski or bike getaway.

The best ski resort for families. Awesome ski school for kids. Small unintimidating village for little ones to run around. Great terrain with lots of tree skiing. Something for everyone of all abilities. The only negatives are it lacks on hill dining options, except for the restaurants in the village. A chalet mid- mountain or at the top with food of substance would be awesome. Even the Happy Valley Lodge and Gem Lake Lodge don't have anything more than burgers or chicken fingers and fries. Can't wait to go back again next year!!!!

Great summer destination. Dog friendly patios and where able to take our 🐕 up the chairlift. They stopped the chair both for loading and offloading. We hiked the 4.5 km trail back down.

I love the whole concept of the village being right in the middle of the ski area, everything is so integrated that you go right through the village as you get to the bottom of the slope. The place is very festive for Christmas. The runs are more intermediate level, not a ton of beginner stuff.

Tubbing was a blast However the ticket booth needs a bit more control Large groups should only send.in one.or two not an entire group of 20 .... not nessaary at all

Buy your tickets online if you are an early riser, ticket office at open is busy. QR code day pass pick up works good. Be aware of horse flys, asain beetles that bite (looks like lady bugs) and mosquitoes at the sumit. Worth a hike to the top. Being chomped on by some bugs was a new experance at big white for me, still highly recommend the summit any time of year.

March Madness. Blue bird baby! Crazy beautiful. Wish we'd had more time. So much hill to explore. You could easily spend three days just searching out two or three lines to spend another two or three days enjoying. Buy a house on the hill and make it a permanent part of your lifestyle, then invite me over. 😁 Telus Park is choice for the fact that it has a dedicated chairlift. So many hills make you work to get back to the freestyle terrain, but not Big White; it's on point. If only they had a top of the mountain to bottom meandering line full of rails, hips and kickers. Super family friendly. Like, shake your kids and then catch up later. 😉 The day lodge areas are well thought out. Filtered Water on tap with cups, insta-hot water tap for noodles. It's not champagne powder country, it's deep powder pack country, especially in the spring. It's not even a question, it's beyond worth it.

Seems to be the only resort with decent snow right now, not overly busy and decent runs for a beginner.

Love Big White! Great resort for families and so much fun on a powder day! There is more to do than just skiing as well. You can go dog sledding, ice skating, cross country skiing, ice climbing and more. Love the ski in and ski out aspect. I used to be a lift operator here in my early 20s and it was a blast 🤙 I've heard it's great biking in the summer too but never been myself.

Beautiful ski resort with fun shops for souvenirs and places to eat and of course a great place to board and ski! Beautiful horses for sleigh rides, skating rink (made on the parking lot with water) so not as smooth to skate on. Pricey though, so maybe bring your own food and beverage if you don’t want to spend $8 on a hot chocolate.

Recently returned from our third trip for our family of 8 to Big White. 2018, 2019 and now 2023. The resort is the perfect spot for a Family ski trip. First of all the snow is 2nd to none, we had measurable snow on three of the seven days that we were there. Ski school was fabulous for our kids, they had a great time and improved dramatically. The ski -in/ski out nature of the resort is so convenient. We like being closer to the village centre, but you can make it work from just about anywhere. Food and drink is varied enough & the market has all of the provisions we needed to make a few meals at our condo. The whole family is asking when we can go back.

The perfect place to go if you are looking to ski, tube, snowshoe or just have a winter experience. There is dozens of runs for skiing or snowboarding. It is also very beautiful during the nighttime, it has a great atmosphere. Definitely worth stopping by if you are in the area for any amount of time.

Help, my feet hurt! I was assisted by Mark, who quickly determined that I was in the correct boot, and that a couple of tweaks would get me back to the slopes in comfort. He explained everything- he stabilized my custom footbeds, then heat-molded the boot liners. Wow, what an improvement! Mark was knowledgeable, professional, a clear communicator, and friendly. I was in the shop just under an hour, and I give Dizzy’s and Mark the highest recommendation.

Had a great time ice skating and watching the fireworks. They have a children's carnival that has free cotton candy, popcorn, and all sorts of games with prizes to win. Great for families with young children. New gondolas are beautiful. Our family isn't into skiing or snowboarding and there are lots of activities and fun to be had. Free parking. Highly recommend!
