Review Original Joe's - Kelowna

Nice place. Was not very busy on Sunday evening. The service was friendly and the food came fast. We had dry ribs, which were fantastic, fettuccine, and Jack Daniel burger. Kids enjoyed mac&cheese. Good experience overall.

Great spot for lunch, solid menu with gf and vegan options. Some great mocktails too.

First time to Original Joe's, had lunch. The Chicken Club Wrap was phenomenal! Service was absolutely fabulous. Our server was just the best, can't say enough about her. Very attentive and spot on for asking how we enjoyed our food. We will definitely go back again when we visit Kelowna, from Oliver.

Great place for a casual meal. We usually have the Cobb Salad which is very fresh and tasty and they don't skimp on the ingredients. Our other fave is the Pacific Rim Noodle Bowl which is also full of flavour. The staff are always friendly and efficient. Easy/free parking in the lot next door. Just record your vehicle info when you enter the restaurant.

This was our first time here...we had 2 very friendly & energetic servers...Madelyn & Carter...they have so much enthusiasm & show they really enjoy serving the public!!! We both had the fish &chips ate what we could as we found they were a bit too salty for our liking. However due to the great service experience we had...we will come back...management you should be very proud of your staff!!!

Yesterday, we visited Original Joe's. First time in 1.5 years, due to Covid. We had a wonderful time. Our server was Janelle, who was charming, warm and provided fantastic service. The food was fabulous; thanks, Chef Dan. Make sure you add Original Joe's to your itinerary. The calamari is the best in town, along with the crispy chicken and steak. 5 Stars. We can't wait to visit again. The patio is all set for the coming warm weather.

The food is not bad and the service is excellent! I got crispy chicken burger, onion rings, and green mixed salad. The burger and the onion rings are so delicious but the portion of the onion ring is a bit too small for an extra $2.75!! My friends beef dip and ACE burgers and both are quite good. The yam fries and crinkle fries are not bad!

My friend and I came for dinner tonight. We were greeted and served by a Gillian T. She was friendly, engaging and attentive to our needs without being intrusive. She is a great addition to the OJ's team and they are lucky to have her

food was great. they were short staffed so service wasn't as good as it should be but the younger fellow doing the bar and anything else needed was literally running around doing whatever he could - cudos to him.

Had the best steak sandwich ever here. Otherwise staff are super nice, so nice it throws you off! Great time here and food is delicious. Parking is good if you follow the rules!

Great for a quick lunch. Lots of choice and variety. Always enjoy the cobb salad.

Went here this evening with my Brother and cousin. I come here usually once every couple months. The food is always solid. I keep coming back because pub food is not what it used to be, but Original Joe's has been able to maintain consistency which not many food establishments do anymore. For this reason I will return again :)

I frequented OJ’s quite a bit with my wife and son. We literally just walked in and the hostess told us they no longer have high chairs or booster seats.... too bad they’re not kid friendly anymore. If you can’t accommodate my kid and my family like that, we will not be coming to your establishment anymore. Very disrespectful to parents.

Had such an amazing lunch with my Daughter and Grandson...staff is awesome..food is great!!

Their Gluten Free Salmon Club was amazing! Definitely one of the best things I have eaten in a long time! You will be seeing me again!!!

Parking situation is confusing AND laborious. Will never go back. Got a $42 ticket despite "signing in" because I was in the wrong "spot" in the lot.

We stopped here for a girls lunch and were promptly greeted and told we could seat ourselves. Our server was lovely and friendly. We both ordered burger. I tried the new “The Five Hundred” burger and was very impressed. Nice to eat a burger with all the fixings and not feel guilty. Thanks for a nice lunch. <br/>

Went last Wednesday  (wing night).  Wings were pretty good.  But the rest... not so good.  The drunken noodles were drowning in sauce - just a gloppy mess.  French onion soup was more like bread and a few spoonfuls of water.  The real kicker, though - we both got violently ill later that evening.  First time in a long time I've been that sick from food.<br/><br/>Service was great, I will give them that.

I've been to OJs multiple times, but haven't gotten around to leaving a review. We visited the Pandosy street location for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too busy and we were able to seat ourselves quickly at a table on the balcony. The waitress got to us and went through the drinks, returned for the food order just as quick. The food itself took a little time to arrive but was very good. I would recommend the grilled cheese burger to anyone looking for a handheld! It was a big sucker, but I was able to take'r down and was definitely satisfied afterward!

Went there with my 2 kids. Had a great experience. And the food was absolutely perfect.

Not at all kid friendly. We were 5 adults 1 x 15 month old. No booster seats or high chairs. We were told the patio was closed. Not a place for kids, more just a bar. Too bad we did not leave before we ordered. Food was average but took forever to come, could not bring kids good first. Will not be back.

Allow kids but not kid friendly. No high chairs and when asked, the manager and staff just say "chain is Alberta based and no kids are allowed in Alberta at all so no high chairs provided here". So make the change here in BC. Different province, different rules! If u allow kids, accommodate them. Will not return.

Hits and a big miss. Lets start with the good stuff. The portions are big and the prices are cheap. The service wasn't bad at all. She did forget the dip with the beef dip but when we asked she got it right away. <br/><br/>Now for the misses. The calamari wasn't full of flavor but I liked the peppers mixed with it. The dill dip with the fries was actually quite good. <br/><br/>However, here is the big miss. We asked for the beef dip without onions. We were told that it would have to come without onions and mushrooms as they are packaged together.....<br/><br/>In today's day and age with all we know about food and health, to see a restaurant that makes packaged meals in unforgivable. How hard is it to cut some mushrooms and onions, fry them in olive oil, add some garlic and put them on the sandwich ? Food should be cooked using fresh ingredients. With the exception of the Costco potato skins my kids like, I cook everything at home using fresh or fresh as can be ingredients. I expect that at a restaurant as well. I am not a health nut by any means and don't make a huge effort to eat only healthy food, but the food I eat is fresh. Sorry but I can't get over using pre-packaged ingredients containing who knows what.

Read a lot of pissed reviews but this place has always hit the mark for me.

Terrible, just terrible. I've been dragged into OJ's an several occasions for team socials. On each occasion, I've found OJ's to be consistently an awful experience.<br/><br/>Not one food item, of the 30 or so I must have tried has come out hot. We were lucky if they came out even warm. The food is literally just reheated, prepackaged food so I have no idea how the staff so consistently lets it die on the pass. Even heat lamps would keep the food warm, even if it was no longer fresh.<br/><br/>The food itself is far below grade for both the price point and the level of food you come to expect from similar establishments. Bland, under seasoned and boring. I've seen at least 3 burgers come out partially frozen still.<br/><br/>The general manager is very collegial and has high aspirations for service, but his staff are consistently under trained, slow, inattentive and sometimes just plain rude. Food orders come out wrong, drink orders are not taken, meals are not checked on and servers disappear for 20 minutes or more without someone apparently covering their tables.<br/><br/>Within 2 hours of OJ's are more than 30 world-class micro-breweries, yet the drought beers available are essentially all boring brews from national brewers. It's sad to see so little love for the amazing beer coming out of the Okanagan.<br/><br/>Overall, I've yet to have a good experience at OJ's and find that it fails to live up to its promise in every category.

Probably my favourite spot for food in kelowna. The service is usually good, the food is always amazing and reasonably priced! The chipotle chicken quesadilla is terrific!

Bad Service, Good Food.. Service was not good, the girl had an attitude problem. Not busy when we were there for lunch, maybe 6 tables in total. She seated us, didn't offer us drinks, 20 minutes later asked us for our order (we still didn't have our drinks), didn't smile, make any kind of small talk. It was uncomfortable to be honest. We had their Fish Tacos and Lettuce Wraps. Both were delicious! Taco's should come with 4 instead of 2 because they are so awesome! I wish they would train their staff to be respectful and polite, then I would be more inclined to return... I'll probably give it another chance since I loved the food, but if the service still sucks, then I wont go back again.

Thursdays!. Great Thursday deals on wine - half off bottles! The service is slow unless you wait until really late to go. Food is delicious.

Friendly service, food and drinks are great. Fun atmosphere.

The. Worst. Service. Not only did it take 10 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge me sitting at the bar. By the time one of the servers even made eye contact with me, they walked away and said nothing. Didn't smile, no hello... I left immediately and took my business elsewhere. I have never felt more unwanted in an restaurant in my life. I eat out fairly often, at least twice a week. Not once have I been treated with so much disrespect as I had been treated at Original Joe's. This wasn't my first time at OJ's... The only reason I'm commenting is because this has happened several times. My advice, don't hire people with terrible attitudes that hate serving, because it shows. I will never come back, and I will be sure to inform people of the lack of management at this establishment.

Terrible Service. Went to Orignal Joe's for an early supper before a movie. The food was good, my friend is addicted to their fish tacos and once again they did not disappoint. What did disappoint was the service. When we asked our server for five more minutes to look at the menu we didn't see her for nearly twenty minutes. When taking our order she started walking away from our table although everyone hadn't ordered yet. She disappeared all the time, and we did not receive one smile throughout the whole dinner, it almost seemed like an inconvenience to her that she had to serve us. Won't give up on the place because the food is always good, but will definately avoid that server's section next time.

I have never been treated worse. This place worries so much about being chic they forgot to be a restaurant. Went 3 times. First time was AWESOME. Second time sat for 15 minutes before anyone came. Food took almost a full hour. Ignored throughout meal. No desert offered, bill dropped off and left to sit another 15 minutes. Went to bar to pay. Bartender ignored me. RAN MY OWN BILL THROUGH. I grabbed a terminal and put it through and left. Next time brought my family and service was again worst I've seen. Talked to owner, who said 'were short staffed'. Tip: if you can't staff your place, shut half of it down and explain to patrons there will be a wait to keep your restaurants service as you want it. I avoid this place at all costs now. Just can't recommend it.

Joe you gotta know........ 3rd time at OJ's, first time for dinner on a Friday evening. Arrived at 6:30, it was busy and there was not a hostess at the door, nor any sign on whether to wait to be seated, or just sit down. I stood at the entrance for approx 10 min. with several servers passing by, with no acknowledgement, eye contact, nothing. I literally flagged down a "sever", whom was rushing by, and she introduced herself as the floor manager, really After finally being seated, server was slow to attend, and was not sure if the 7,9, 20 whatever, was 7 oz, or 7 dollars for a glass of wine. She told us it was oz. then changed to dollar per glass.....okay. I ordered Thai Chick Salad, which I never would order again. Very little taste, huge disappointment, I ate the chicken and some cashews, the rest of the salad just did not appear fresh, and was almost tasteless. I did inform the server whom did offer something else, from the menu but I declined. Servers seemed to be burnt out, lacking menu knowledge, no one at the door to greet patrons, the music was not identifiable , as it was so loud, the patrons beside us complained and it was adjusted. Not so Original Joe.

Yummy. We had dinner on the patio the other nite Appys were bruschetta and calamari... Both flavorful and yummy the entres came quickly after apps and didn't disappoint . The lettuce wraps were especially good Our server was speedy polite and friendly too actually the whole team were great

Regular Joe's. I like this place for a casual bite in Kelowna. Food is quality, servers are really friendly and provide great recommendations. It is a nice hangout spot, as they have good weekly specials and the crowd is all ages and pretty laid back. We will be back!

Food, service,overall experience? Just ok, but would go back hoping they work on improving. We need this kind of restaurant in the Mission.

Not family friendly. First time at the kelowna location, not very impressed. We were told the special after we gave are order,, and told their was a kids menu after we ordered. not kid friendly at all, considering their were lots of kids their with their family's.. kinda weird that they don't have small forks..<br/>as well one in are group had the beef dip and has food posing.. are experience was not good.

Mission's Best Place. Great food, good beer, great service, love the place.<br/>Just wish it was bigger, not enough seats....

Not too shabby. Went to this place for my best friends bday dinner. she tends to like places like moxies milestones joeys but wanted a new place so i took her here. we went early and with good reason this place starts to fill after 6pm!! service was great! we had the spin dip to start it came to us looking more like a soup then a dip would have been alright if they served it with bread rather then tortilla chips the dip just slid off the chip tasted okay but nothing to write home about, we sent back and learned that the kitchen was trying to swtich the recipe it was a head office idea. so we changed to bruschetta, omigod!! best ever!!! the bread with gooey melted cheese and the sweet n tang of the tomato mix was a home run!! one of the best bruschettas ive ever had! my friends oreder the steak sand and was raving about it cooked perfect seasoned well and the choices for your sides was nice selection. i had the fish tacos!! yum! so good. really inmpressed, and didnt break the bank!! so coming back :)

Wings had great flavor (had honey garlic, cajun, and shanghai) , weren't "tiny" , not over cooked like a lot of places for wings and my drink was constantly refilled . Solid 9/10

Wing night. Went here on wing night to try this new restaurant in town. The atmosphere was pleasant as well as the decor and seating. The wings were flavorless and over cooked. The Caesar salad on the other hand was great! I will have to give this place another chance...but not on wing night.

Good service average food, reminded me of a hooters without the ..... For the prices Earls or Joeys would have been better value.

Wait to get a seat was average. Service was average. Drinks came fast. Food took over a hour to get. Cecear salad tasted like it was from package, almost no taste to it. They went really cheap on gravy and cheese for the poutin. And couldn't even hear someone sitting across the table. All in all the main part of the meal was average but all the rest brought the place down. Not to mention another eight minutes to clear the plate away. Then to top it all off we were brought the wrong bill. Let's just say it's been taking off my list of places to eat.

Lots of variety and a great presentation. The food is good but not great, and it looks like it should taste better then it does. If you like Earls you will definitely like Original Joes

I was there the other night with my girlfriend and we were both just blown away by the food. The calamary was great, though slightly small, and the iceberg drink was awesome. For our entrees she got the cajun chicken burger which was excellent, and I got the nachos. This is where the place.got a home run, the nachos came in this big basket with everything you love to see on them, and they had the perfect amount of sour cream.and salsa in bowls on the side. It was actually hard to finish all of the dips cause you ran out of nachos, and trust me, there's a ton. The one downfall was the service. Slow and unaware of where customers were in their meals. She was quick to take orders, but quality checks came way too late (who knows, we could have hated it), and we sat for a while waiting for the bill. To be fair though the place was packed so it wasn't a big issue, I was a server once too, but still, she wasn't running around the whole time. But overall, amazing food. Go there. :)

Original Joe's (Pandosy). I am so excited that there is now an Original Joe's just down the street from where I work. My husband and I would drive to West Kelowna for the great food but now we don't have to. I have tried many of the menu items and would order them again and again. If you're looking for a pub where the food is consistently satisfying then you've found the place. If your looking for great service then this isn't the place. If there is just two of you though, sit at the bar because the bar tender doesn't go anywhere and he refills your drinks and takes your orders fast. You could be waiting awhile if you rely on the waitresses for anything.

Food Great, Service Needs Work. We thoroughly enjoyed Original Joe's on the Westside, and we were pleased when they decided to open in Kelowna as well. The food definitely keeps us coming back! We agree with the other review stating the service really leaves something to be desired. Hopefully they're able to bring their staff to a higher level of customer service before losing loyal customers like us.

Hit and miss. I quite liked the variety on the menu here and there's so many items that i'd like to try which may keep me coming back, although not as a regular. My lunch of Bulgogi tacos and yam fries was fresh and interesting with excellent slaw and dressing on the tacos and good quality, crispy yam fries served with a ubiquitous chipotle-mayo dip. <br/><br/>The food was good but the service, however, was non-existent. Yes, I realize it's only been a week since opening but there were plenty of staff present and on the floor and we still had to ask for almost everything including drinks, condiments and the bill. We had to help ourselves to cutlery and napkins and never saw our server during the meal itself until she finally showed up well after we were finished and waiting to leave. <br/><br/>I'm all for letting a restaurant find it's footing and our experience today probably won't keep us from returning, but I'll expect substantially better service in the future.

Pretty good... The variety of cuisines on the menu was a bit much. The calamari is disappointingly small (no one has beaten Cactus Club's yet). Since we live right around the corner, I'm sure we'll be back.
