Our server was lovely, the food was to die for (I have never enjoyed Mexican food this much, and I love Mexican food), the patio is SO ADORABLE and the drinks are just delicious!

Amazing atmosphere, amazing staff, unique and delicious drinks, hectars himself usually seats most guests and is very humble! Great place to have your birthday party ;) everything is made fresh and in house!!! If your looking for 100% authentic Mexican cuisine this place is a must. You won't be disappointed!
Hectors Casa is amazing! The margaritas are to die for. The food is always great. We have been going to Hector's for years, but this time was extra special. We got to meet the new owners and they are wonderful. We played games, asked about their history and got a real experience. I highly recommend Hectors to anyone looking for a one of a kind experience. I look forward to going more often. Thank you Paco!
Always great food. Was a bit off last night, some issues in the kitchen, but it didn't bother us. They've went through a few changes and are experiencing a bit of growing pains from it. Favorite place for Mexican outside of Mexico.
Hectors is by far my favorite restaraunt! Incredible food, incredible staff. I have never left disappointed, it is amazing everytime. My only criticism would be I wish the refried beans were vegetarian. Everytime I'm in town it is a must go.
Yesterday, I tried this restaurant for the first time. I loved it! Very good food, wonderful staff and the owner was great! Will be back again, once is definitely not enough. If you haven't tried their food, try it!
First time going to this amazing restaurant.....very authentic Mexican from the decor, the greeting at the door in Spanish to the food. Oh my the food was just like sitting in Mexico at a restaurant! I will be back for sure when I need a Mexican food fix!

My husband and I had dinner here for the first time last night and the food was fantastic. We had both combo plates to try a bit of everything and everything was delicious. The service was the best we've had in a long time!!! Will definitely be returning.

My family and I have been coming to the pandosy area of Kelowna for 11 years in a row one of our first stops is hectors casa. We have met hector in the past and the food has always been delicious the staff excellent as well as the service. They are under new management and we were shocked to see a new menu but the food was outstanding better than ever. Although they did take the garlic shrimp off the menu they chefs still made it for us on request. Now that’s service you don’t find in a lot of places. Please put the garlic shrimp back on the menu but otherwise everyone visiting Kelowna should eat here the atmosphere staff service food are all amazing.
Hector's is my go to restaurant when I come home. Although Hector is no longer running it the new owners have pretty much kept everything the same and the chefs haven't changed. Everything on the menu is amazing including the enchiladas, tacos, guacamole, soup and chili rellenos. My friends always get the Chicken Chimichangas, but my go to dish is the Alambres (steak tip dish). If you like steak and cheese in a tortilla you will love it!
This place was too good to be true. It was fairly busy but we were seated quickly. The queso fundido reminded me of Mexico and the chimichangas were to die for. On top of that, the owner came over to say hello... it was Hector himself! He talked to us while we waited for our meal and told us he's been here 18 years! Gotta be doing something right... this place is our new go-to :)

Food generally good, and the atmosphere's nice, too. But the real standout was the carnitas taco dish. It's only an appetizer so we ordered it for our little boy, but we ended up sneaking bits off his plate and wishing we had more! Crispy, flavourful, delicious.

Authentic Mexican Surprise!
our friend took us here and I must say, what a wonderfully delightful place!
we sat in the back patio. and as soon as we got to the back patio, it felt like we left Kelowna! went there for lunch and it wasn't busy at all, which is sometimes not a good sign for the dining experience.
the decor of the patio thrilled us as it looked pretty authentically Mexican (see photos) and add to that the outside temperature, which was hovering at 30'C, and we immediately felt like it transported us away to another country!
the menu is quite simple, which we personally love to see. can't stand menus that are pages and pages long.
we ordered the Chicken Chimichanga and the Combinacion de Enchilada. both dishes were truly delicious! at first when I saw the dishes I was disappointed because it looked like not a lot of food, but as soon as we took a bite, we were delighted. the tortillas seemed to be homemade and fresh. and both dishes were seasoned perfectly. my favourite was the Chicken Burrito that came in the Combinacion plate.
the refried beans were fantastic and the Spanish rice was well done too. I've had some that really set me off, but these sides were done very well. add to that the cute pink picked onion and everything just put smiles on our faces.
on the tables were little photo albums that I assumed was the drink menu, but to my surprise, it also included a cute little story about Hector and his family as well as a fun trivia page about Mexico. we thought that was a fun discovery. if you go there, you should dive into Hector's story and the trivia. also, ensure you sit in the patio. I'm sure you'll love the whole experience.
also on the table was a delightful green hot sauce that tasted wonderful with just the right amount of heat. admittedly, I'm a sucker for green hot sauce.
this place is a solid 4! maybe even a 4.5 if only the quantity was a bit more substantial. I was still somewhat hungry afterwards. I hear the dinner menu contains larger servings.
Great spot!. Very cool little spot. I see alot of complaints about service but I didn't have a problem with it at all. It may have been a little slow but that's to be expected in a busy establishment. Maybe service staff has changed since those most recent reviews. Had a combination plate and it was MORE than enough food. The Marg's were above average and dessert was good as well. 8.5 out of 10. Will definitely go back!!

Mexican food done so RIGHT!. Lovely small family run establishment that has been around since 1999. The service was a little slow due to the business of the place, but the food was awesome. Our table sampled the Mole - Superb!, the Taquitos - Super Superb!, Quesedillas - Excellent! and the Lime Margueritas went down nicely! We liked the place so much that we went back twice during our stay in Kelowna. I would recommend making a reservation. They were also VERY helpful with my Gluten allergy and many items on the menu could be modified for me! Will be back next time!

They identify on the menu which dishes are gluten-free (and there are MANY!), and with one of us being celiac that is super important. The staff are always careful in preparing the gluten-free order.
We have both tried a number of different dishes, and we are always impressed with the flavours and freshness. Plenty of food on the plates, so we are never able to order dessert!
The servers we have had are attentive, friendly and efficient - and we enjoy chatting with Hector as he oversees the restaurant to ensure everyone is happy and satisfied.

Hector's Casa is very much a favourite place to go with our grown children when they are in town. Hector is from Mazatlan Mexico, as is our Grandma (Abuelita). All the food reminds us of the mexican style meals she made, and the gorditos are spot on! Just like Grandma made. The chips and salsa are a nice touch, and very yummy.
Sit out on the patio in the summer, it feels just like you are in Mexico! And don't forget to have one of their margaritas. Delicious.
Very good. I frequent Hectors typically every 2 months, and is the same every time. Service is good but a bit slow. Food is good and the margaritas are the best. Hectors is the best Mexican in Kelowna, with Latin Fiesta right behind although Latin fiesta isn’t really a restaurant per say its more of a take out or diner. My suggestion, go there on your birthday, you will have an amazing time! And to address one of the opinions below regarding authentic....you obviously have not been to mexico, this is very authentic, and BTW have you met Hector? He is full blown Mexican!
Fun decorations. The service was excellent for this small restaurant. All the staff was very friendly and smiling. We started with toquitos - very tasty. Their chipotle dip is amazing. Our dinners were chimichangas (with a bit of heat added) and beef toastadas. Both had flavor and they were large portions. The margarita wasn't served in a traditional glass but it was tasty. Definitely will return.
Best Mexican restaurant I've been too! Never found any other place that compares. Some items on the menu are a little pricey but it's worth it for amazing food! I suggest the fajitas and taco frescas!

So Awesome!. I love Hector's! The food is awesome and their patio in the summer is simply great. I almost always get the tacos (taquitos) as I am a bit addicted to them. Other things I have tried are always very good as well. The poppers you can get on Fridays and sometimes Saturdays if there are any left overs are so good! The rice puuding is worth a try too.

Reasonably priced. This is a great place to take a bunch of friends for a pitcher of margaritas and some hearty Mexican fare. The chips and salsa are my favourite in town. The food is good with reasonable prices compared to DJ's and is more relaxed in tone. I really enjoy sitting in the courtyard and it is a great spot to have a birthday in Summer.
I can't really judge the authenticity of the recipes, but flavor and freshness has always been good. Service can be hit and miss. Portions are smaller than some might expect for the price. Fun and bright atmosphere.
Always Great. I live in Calgary but any time I am in Kelowna, Hectors is on the agenda as one of the places we eat. For many years now my kids and I have enjoyed the food here. Prices are reasonable, service is quick and the meals always very tasty.
During the summer try to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the warm evenings. The place is small, so make sure you make a reservation. Also, make sure you meet Hector, he's quite a character

The food is a bit over priced but you can always bet on a good meal and their patio is awesome in the summer. Hector is from Mexico so the reciepes are authentic but they are twisted a bit for our fusion canadian style of eating.
Awesome and authentic. We have been dining at Hector's Casa for over 5 years now and have never had a bad experience beyond being too busy to get in at times. Phone for a reservation well in advance wherever possible. The food is the best, reasonably priced, great margaritas and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great Mexican Food. We returned to this restaurant for dinner after an enjoyable lunch on our last trip to Kelowna. The food was great and Hector is very hands on in ensuring a great meal and experience at his Casa. The rear patio is perfect on a hot summer evening.

If you are looking for an authentic Mexican experience this is it! If you speak Spanish so do the staff, clean and tidy little place. Very friendly staff and excellent food with generous portions. 100% recommend and will be back before I head back to the prairies!!!
My hubby and I had an amazing dinner at Hector's Casa. We'd choose the Hector's Special and the snapper Veracruzano. The food was excellent and absolutely flavorful, and it came, after we ordered with a very friendly and professional waitress , in a very short time. For desert, we had a flan cake, which was absolutely perfect.

I live in Calgary but i came to Kelowna with my family for a few days for a vacation. We’ve been here before and we enjoyed it very much. This was our second time here and the food was incredible! We got several dishes to share so we could have more than one thing for the four of us. We got the salsa, ceviche and guacamole with chips as a couple of appetizers. We got the nachos as well, which came in a tremendous amount and we definitely got our moneys worth. For our entrees we got the fish tacos, the green enchiladas and four pork tacos, all of which exceeded our expectations. Aside from the food the atmosphere was very cozy and family oriented. It’s not a big place, which I enjoy but the decorations definitely feel very welcoming. The service was also excellent. Everyone was very kind and attentive. Our water glasses were constantly full. All in all this was an amazing experience and I wish to come back again.

If anyone asks me where is the best Nachos in Kelowna I will pick this place. We got the medium and it was huge. Enough for 4 people. Love this place definitely coming back.
