Major rave to Dawett fine indian restaurant last night. I’m celebrating our special anniversary. We chose this restaurant for a couple of reasons. 1. Wanted to eat indian but not eat at the same place we always eat at. 2. We didn’t want to order in it’s just not the same experience 3. Change of scenery 4. New experiences 5. Pallet sensations Ok so we get to the spot and our table is ready for our reservation arrival, (we called ahead to book as we were unsure if there was space bring it out first time). The atmosphere was perfect dark maroon space with authentic indian pictures on the walls soft indian music in the background and booths for everyone. Keeping your space as private and secluded from other guests. First on the menu we had to try the chicken wings from hell. We love spice so this was a must. We also ordered 2 king fishers just in case. The flavours in the wings were so amazing and super flavourful left us coming back for more. Not spicy 🌶 for us but super awesome flavours that impacted both our palettes And highly highly recommend. Our main course was even better we decided to order eggplant 🍆 bartha it’s one of my absolute favourites and most places I’ve been to does not do it like India 🇮🇳. That dish was a hit. One reason being the presentation. Coming out in a dish with the candle below keeping it warm through out the dinner was amazing. These little thoughts of how to serve customers and give them an experience is exactly what this did for us. Amazing job. I ordered the lamb combo with the perfect balance of rice, salad, raita, and naan 🫓 bread. My lamb was cooked beautifully Abs the tastes were on par. My hubby ordered the seafood combo and it was so tasty every bite left you coming back for more. Our waitress Jasleen was not only incredible she was outstanding. Greeted us like we meant something to her. Her smile was infectious, she paid attention to all the details. She never skipped a beat. She was friendly and honestly such a beautiful soul to interact with. She made our time Anna special day feel awesome. So thank you to the entire staff And team at Daweet’s tonight for making my husband and I feel awesome. We definitely will be back and can’t wait to try more dishes in the menu. One other note the washrooms were so clean and that is another couple bonus points. Again thank you so much to the entire staff for an exceptional first experience that we look forward to again. So happy Chantel and Oscar

Been here a couple times last year and service was not great but this year I came for diwali and the waitress was so kind and lovely it made up for the past experiences. The food is always great, love everything I’ve tried so far. My usuals are the biriyani or the tandoori but the mango chicken is also really tasty. Totally recommend.

I love the food I had in this place. Everything was so delicious. Their stuffed naans are spectacular! The servers are kind but not exceptional and the ambience inside is bit overwhelming. The interior design is kind of suffocating. Other than these problems, I would recommend this place to those looking for delicious food

Tonight my friend and I really wanted to sit and enjoy some good comfort food together. We ordered a few different dishes for takeout so we could sit, share and laugh at home. OUR MEAL WAS SO INCREDIBLE that we mostly talked about the food! We could taste the love and care infused in the food. It was very special. Very delicious. We will be back over and over again. Thank you so much ✨💚🙏🏻

The curry here had the perfect blend of spices to warm us up on a rainy day in Kelowna. Nice server and very elegant decor.

The food is amazing. The service wasn't horrible just painfully slow. Very friendly and inviting but just getting refill on water had to be asked twice. Food does take its sweet time to come out but if it is legitimately fresh cooked then it's understandable, and it tasted fresh! We will definitely eat here again!

The food was delicious and the prices are reasonable. Alcohol prices are great. Server was very sweet. But there was so little meat in the dishes that you couldn’t possibly share entrees as there was hardly enough for one person. Charge more if you have to.

Dropped in a bit late on Monday night for a quick bite. Service was prompt. Enjoyed my Kingfisher beer 🍺 to start with. And, ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala and garlic and basil naan. Taste was good although my second naan came without basil. But not an issue at all. Went home happy tummy. Their offerings are varied and catered to all. Nice cozy ambience on a cold evening. Definitely going to be a regular here. Cheers 🍻

It was the first time we tried Indian food, and we really liked it. The place was nice and local-like. The person who served us was a nice young man. Based on what we told him he offered some choices, and we ended up with Butter chicken, Chicken korme(?) and Tandoori prawns. The butter chicken was the greatest. He also gave us a tasty drink, mixture of yogurt and mango, for free, as it was our first time. We will definitely try this food again.

The food is always delicious here (especially the tandoori foods) but I am bringing down to 4 stars as it can be quite pricey. It is almost 20$ for butter chicken now, no larger than ones you get for 13-16 at other places even if it is tasty. Also tried the pakoras today which were 8$ dollars for very few and all small ones, as shown in the photo. So, food is 5 star other than the pakoras, but some of these dishes are just too expensive for what you get.

We tried the paneer curry with paneer kulcha .. both were delicious. Also tried the chicken tikka which was again very flavourful. Highly recommend trying it.

Our go-to place to order and visit if we want Indian food. Coconut chicken curry and coconut nans are so delicious. Interestingly the level 6 for coconut chicken curry is less spicy then the level 4 of butter chicken curry. Gratuity will be automatically included if you have a group of 6.

The food was decent here, and better than what I had expected of Kelowna. I come from Toronto/GTA where there are many Indian restaurants. I always order the same dishes every time I have Indian. These are the dishes and what I thought of them: 1) Vegetarian Samosas - these were done very well and spicier than I had expected. But I love spicy so it was soo good! 2) Butter Chicken - I love the creamy tomato chicken curry, but I love my butter chicken HOT. They have a rating scale of 1-6, 1 being mild and 6 being extra hot. I asked how seriously they take their spices, and they said hot is really hot, so I picked a 5 expecting it to be hot. When it came, it wasn’t spicy at all to me. 3) Aloo Gobi - the taste was good, but some of the potatoes were hard and weren’t cooked thoroughly. 4) Garlic Naan - large size, and really good. 5) Rice - No complaints. The ambience and service was actually the best I’ve ever had at an Indian restaurant, so I’m very happy about that. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and would try it again.
