Been here a couple times with friends the atmosphere is really great for that. The food is one of those you have to know what you’re getting into. My first time there I didn’t really enjoy it but every time I go back I find something I enjoy more and more. Their burritos and quesadillas are really good. The prices rage but are fairly good.

We had a good time there. Good vegetarian options.
However they charged us 2 beers when we only had one. When i told management they responded quickly I’m not sure if it was an honest mistake or they were being too clever to charge me for 2 beers. Anyways they refunded my money in the end.

Headed to El Taquero for brunch and was really impressed with the friendly service and great flavours! I had the tacos and liked the optional sauces so you can choose the heat in each mouthful. The ice coffee was sweet and comforting, and the esquites (corn chowder) was next level! Good amount of gluten free options too.

Great options and decent portion sizes on the tacos. My mum isn’t big on tacos and burritos and really liked the chowder.
If its a nice day, order pickup and find a spot to sit by the lake. There isn’t a ton of sitdown seating but the vibe is nice still.

Tonight was our first visit. We had a fantastic experience! Our server Mackenzie was amazing! She answered all of our questions knowledgeably, was attentive and provided outstanding service! From our tasty margaritas to our delicious food, the whole evening exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

Starting with an amazing margarita and Pina colada that I shared with my girlfriend.
Continued by sharing four differents tacos, all great, expecially the fish tavos. Then shared a burritos. The burritos size was really big, we didn't finished it. It was tasty and had a lot of meat. A little more spicy than I expected.

Tacos were a bit on the greasy side and higher price for tacos but they did taste really good. The three hot sauces they give are also really nice. Waiter was great !

Amazing Mexican food, I have enchiladas and my friends ordered a Chicken bowl, while the enchiladas were really good (me and other friend really enjoyed it) but the other friends who ordered the chicken bowl said it was okay and chipotle bowl is much tastier and cheaper than what we got here. Overall the staff were really friendly and helped me a make small customization to the enchiladas I ordered.

Ordered horchata and 3 street style tacos, which came with 4 different types of hot sauce. Service was efficient and the tacos had great flavour, with a handful of gluten free and vegan/vegetarian options.

A Kelowna local recommended this restaurant as having the best tacos in the city. She wasn't wrong. I got the 3 taco mix and match with pollo adobo, pollo mole verde and pescado veracruz. They were amazing! The fish was such a hearty, robust flavor and definitely my favorite. The adobo had quite a kick to it but the pineapple helped to balance it; still a bit too spicy for me, but still good. The mole verde was very good too; a delicious, savory flavor with a nice crunch from the pumpkin seeds. The wait staff was very accommodating and helpful with navigating the menu for someone who has limitations when it comes to spicy flavors.

We used El Taquero to cater our work Christmas party with their taco bar option and it was so fantastic. Their communications with us were very easy and prompt. The food was INCREDIBLE and everyone enjoyed it so much. They were great at explaining everything when they set up. 10/10 would recommend

Really enjoyed the tacos. Fantastic service, very friendly. Great, very authentic tacos, delicious (street corn) chowder for a side. Very fun atmosphere, felt like a family friend with a warm welcome. Food service was very quick. Having spent some time in Mexico, food does not dissapoint. Definitely the place to go if you are craving real, authentic Mexican foods. Drink menu was extensive and had some interesting mixes on classic margs. Great value as well. Will definitely be back.

Weekend away in Kelowna and dropped in for weekend brunch at El Taquero. We were pleased with our tasty meal, with good service, and the Owner popped by to thank us for visiting! It was a nice touch and made our meal even more memorable.
We started with drinks - it’s always nice to have a drink special and day-drinking is always fun. The highlight of the meals were the birria burrito/taco, and the pasilla salsa and pasilla chili salsa were a-mazing. We shared the flan and churros for dessert.
Everything recommended!
We’ll definitely be back.

Friendly atmosphere. Food tasted good but we felt like some flavour was lacking in the street tacos. Some of the taco fillings were too spicy for us. The burrito was very filling which was nice.

Marnie and Izzy have a great place. This is a great spot. Great atmosphere. Food is spectacular. Brought my boys who tend to picky and they had a great time.
Staff is super friendly and easy going.
Had nacho pandemia to share with the boys. We smashed it. Not your sport bar nachos. Chips are insanely good. Street corn vibe is awesome. Got it with guacamole and chorizo. Hurt myself a bit because it was too good. The pickled veggies on the top are fantastic.
Boys crushed the kids the quesadillas with carne asada.
Churros were a massive hit.
This is a family owned and run shop. Get out there for something different and awesome. Support the locals who are making it happen.

We had El Taquero cater our wedding on May 5th, and holy crow, I can't say enough about the absolutely amazing job that Marnie, Izzy and their team did.
They served a full meal - appetizers, including two absolutely to-die-for vegan options, various tacos (beef, pork, chicken and vegan), and such delicious sides.
Their staff was amazing - not only polite and attentive, they went above and beyond to make sure that our day was beyond memorable.
We can't thank the whole team at El Taquero enough! Highly recommended!

This place is the real deal for authentic Mexican food prepared with fresh, quality ingredients. And those margaritas... The crushed flowers on the rim of the hibiscus marg take it to another realm - incredible! The patio is perfect on a warm summer night and the staff and owners are fabulous. I will consider cutting down on my Mexico vacations and will just hang out here instead.

Hugethanks to Izzy , Marnie and everyone at El Taquero for making catered birthday celebration fantastic... tacos enchiladas and all the sauces and pickled veggys were suberb. The prawn cocktail was the best I have ever had. margaritas- lime, hibiscus, and passionfruit were excellent .And I didn't think I liked passionfruit , but I do now. Izzy and staff made this a most memorable birthday party They were a blast .Marnie helped me with the menu and they took care of everything(menu, setup, cooking and cleanup) . I would and do recommend El Taquero to anyone who eats!!

I couldn't finish my food. The pulled pork was grounded up to look like it was regurgitated pork. I love tacos to the point where I just drive the states to get them. And these were awful. I was very excited for this place to open and it was huge disappointment. Hopefully over time it will improve but I'll never go back.

Delicious Tacos. I sampled five different tacos and I enjoyed each one. The Guacamole has a teeny bit of heat; nice touch. The Pico has a mystery flavour happening that sets it apart from any Pico I've ever dipped my chip into. Really tasty stuff. Friendly staff and great service. Reasonable prices and had the food out quick. We'll go again...and again...and again...

You will look up, ten minutes later and wonder which day of the week it is. perfect proportions of flavours, masterfully prepared, so that every bite is a fresh experience. hot, cool, spicy, sweet, deep, light. It is a vacation for your senses so enthralling that you will have jet lag afterwards.

Extremely good tacos - the only time I've had properly cooked brisket outside my home since moving to Kelowna. Paired with fantastic salsa, and the best pickled vegetables I've had in awhile - with one heck of a kick if you grab a pepper or two.
I can foresee conveniently forgetting my lunch more often, as they really do taste as good as a home cooked meal.
