Review Mtl - Kelowna

1st visit Food. Very good breakfast Atmosphere. Excellent Patio. Lovely Coffee. Lattes are above average Service. Our watres was on her 2nd day and did well. Will we go back. Mtl will be our new main breakfast place.

Delicious. Hand made. Fresh. Flavorful. Friendly. Those are the first words that come to mind when I think of this restaurant. This was our first time trying their food. We ordered some of their all-day breakfast (only offered on Saturdays) choices for pickup and were very happy with everything. We had an "mtl classic" and "bennies your way". All the food was made fresh and in-house, no canned sauces or frozen hash browns that get delivered on a truck (this is a big deal to me). The hollandaise was amazing, the smoked meat was perfectly seasoned and smoked, the eggs were cooked just right. Even with our order being for takeout, the meals were nicely garnished with some fresh fruit. The only complaint I could possibly come up with is that they forgot my toast. But I probably don't need the extra carbs, so maybe I should thank them for that..

Just yummy! Sandwiches are amazing, people are super helpful. I had to kill 2 hours, they were nice about me hanging out!

Great place. Came in for breakfast. Good food at a very reasonable price. Would have given 5 stars but the service was not the greatest. Not awful but not great either.

Authentic Montreal smoked meat in Kelowna. Reasonable prices and good portions.

Best food hands down. It reminds me so much of Monteral food I know and love. The portion size is big and you never leave hungry. They have great breakfast and lunch options for everyone. My son loves eating here too. The staff are super friendly and Chef Mathew always has a smile on his face. I would eat here every day if I could. Soooooo yummy!

The food was quick and delicious! Staff was really friendly and helpful, especially since we had two babies with us. The Sainte-Catherine Burger was a favorite of our group, and I ordered the blueberry almond creme brule which was to die for! Definitely will be coming here again :)

Yum, one of my favorite lunch spots. Amazing hot sandwiches, piled high with traditional Montreal smoked meat. And if you really want to step it up a notch, try their to die for deep fried pickles! Good sized portions, reasonably priced and friendly service. Definitely check them out!

Really enjoy the decor. Lots of natural light and and a semi cafe feel to this place makes it a nice place to grab a bite - sadly, the price and the craftsmanship of the food requires some help. It has great fries, but the smoked turkey sandwich is average, as is the poutine. Still, nice place for a bite.

I've been here a few times for breakfast/lunch. Always Excellent. I noticed they hosted private evening events. I talked to Mathew... the always there owner and Chief, and arranged to have a Private Staff Dinner Party. It was 110% excellent. Food was great (quality, taste, presentation), his staff dealt well with our issues, and I can't say enough good things about the experience. Its clear Matt cares about Customer service. I will return, both casually and hopefully for another larger gathering!

AMAZING. I frequent this local restaurant and have always left full and satisfied, so when I wanted to hire a company to cater a surprise birthday party for my husband MTL was my first call. The menu they put together was impressive. They created the menu around what was in season locally. Mathew, Amanda and their staff were professional and friendly. The food was delicious. My guests were emailing me after the event raving about the quality of the food and service. If you are looking for a great place to eat I highly recommend MTL. If you are looking for a chef who is skilled and creative you should call Mathew and Amanda. Thank you for helping to make our event so memorable. UPDATE 2020 EVENT In July 2020 my dad turned 80. I was in charge of organizing a Covid safe family gathering and we were thrilled to have Mathew, Amanda and Cody at our house. I knew from the moment I contacted Brad to arrange the event that it would be a stress free night. The service was friendly and professional. It was an amazing night and the food and service was a big reason why. My dad said he had never tasted such amazing tender short ribs, and my sister wants the recipe. Thank you MTL for helping create another great event. You never disappoint!

Totally delicious and fast. Amazing prices for lunch portions, I’m curious to try the other meal options!! Mac n Cheese was to die for, the sauce was INSANELY delicious and bacon was bomb. Definitely a hidden gem! Nice that you can have it delivered too!

I'm not the market for their classic Montreal meat sandwich, I need my floppy bread toasted and my meat well-done. The flavor is there though. Their meat poutine was amazing and what I wanted. The wings were good but small and overpriced as gourmet wings typically are. Would like to try more on their menu.

Fantastic Montreal Smoke Meat Sandwich. Being from Montreal myself and having eaten a historic eateries like Schwartz's and Dunn's I've got to say if you are looking for a taste of back East here in the Okanagan I recommend checking out MTL; it won't disappoint!

The food is amazing! I had the pulled sweet potato burger and it came with fries, coleslaw and vegetarian baked beans. The burger was quite tasty with a bit of spice. The beans and French fries were the best I've had outside of Quebec. This place is the real deal!

We've been to MTL now for coffee, lunch, and breakfast. It's been soooooo good every time. The service is efficient and personable. Most of the staff appears to be invested in some way in the success of MTL, and it shows. I haven't even gotten to the food yet! So far, we've worked our way through the smoked meat sandwich, a pouting, the lumberjack breakfast, the soup du jour, and some sort of an egg bagel thingy. All of it to die for. We're looking forward to catching one if the Friday night dinner gigs with live music. I'm sure it will be a treat.

We have breakfast here every Thursday morning for our Kelowna Chamber of Commerce Sales Lead Network. It’s so great I even went back twice already in the past week, outside of our weekly group!

Finally a location in the Okanagan where we can get a great Authentic smoked Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich and not a pastrami trying to pass itself off.

I look forward to breakfast at MTL every Thursday morning. It is delicious and hot. The room is cozy and comfortable, and perfect for our meetings. Thank you MTL!

Took my daughter for lunch today and we loved everything.. The people, the food, the service and if you have never had the maple sugar pie you do NOT know what your missing. Love the positive and happy vibe of this place. Can't wait to go back!!!

Great atmosphere, actually feels like you're in Montreal. Excellent smoked meat and crispy pickle the way they're supposed to be. Great patio on nicer days, definitely will go back.

We were lucky enough to join in for the August supper club and it was amazing! Our whole table was thoroughly impressed! Everything was perfect..The food, wine pairing, and even the entertainment. Great job guys!!

I had s delicious Reuben. Next time I'll try something else here. Prices are super reasonable. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

They have an excellent patio to enjoy lunch and the food is always yummy.

I finally had the chance to stop by and try the amazing smoked meat (and almost everything else on the menu!) Everything tasted great and the service was fantastic! The chef also set us up with a care package to bring to a friends BBQ, the pulled pork sliders and Mac and cheese were a hit! I am already thinking about what I will have on my next visit, can't wait!

Had the smoked meat sandwich and poutine. So good! Great service, food came quickly, and excellent all around. I will be back...especially when the Habs are playing again!
