It's not just about the food at Soy Restaurant that makes you want to go back time and time again, (Although the appie plate is to die for) it is the incredible sense of caring for me as not only a customer but a possible friend. Even though this is a fusion restaurant , the staff and their service to others is where it becomes authentically Japanese. A true gem in the Okanagan.
Always the most fresh, delicious food, with the kindest attentive staff! They really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The lie ramen is the best comfort food... the noodles are AMAZING! (But we've tried lots of things on the menu and it's ALL great)
I had miso ramen.
That was the best miso ramen I’ve ever had!
They put together a plenty of flavourful meals for our staff party although we had a limited budget. They even accommodated individuals dietary needs. We all satisfied and enjoyed their quality food and service!
Great place, fun vibe and good food.
I always enjoy SOY. The food is tasty, fresh and reasonable. The service is excellent and the space is clean and charming.
This is a hidden gem in Kelowna. Simple, delicious Japanese and Korean dishes. Friendly service. The Japchae (stir-fried noodles with beef and veggies) is very tasty. So is the beef bowl + karaage.
Our group had the Shoyu Wonton Ramen and Yakisoba (with tofu). The warm broth of the ramen was perfect on a cold morning and each order had 5 wonton. There was a generous portion of ramen with a variety of boiled vegetables. Service was prompt and there was parking out front. Seems to be a busy place! The interior was clean with some dividers still between the tables. Would return for their reasonable prices and selection of Asian dishes!
Dined here for the first time recently and it was great! Can’t believe I had never been here before. I tried the miso ramen and really enjoyed it. I got the large and ended up with leftovers for lunch the next day. I will definitely be back to try other dishes. It was a quiet day but the service was wonderful.
This is such a gem in Kelowna! I did not expect to find good Asian food here. You can tell it's really made with care! A pan-asian menu, but all made with a Japanese sensibility. All the appetizers especially are delicious, and I'd love to try more next time I come! This place reminds me a lot of my favourite places in Japan: clean, organized, with a calm atmosphere and nice music. The service as well was great, so I hope to come here every time I visit Kelowna. If you get tired of all the fancy vineyard stuff and just want a reliably good, proper, delicious meal in a comfortable space, this is it!
Dined for lunch and was so impressed that we returned for a second visit. First time we started with Gyoza appetizers. Excellent flavour. Then had the Spicy Coconut Ramen and the Miso Sesame Ramen. They were very tasty and not too spicy. Lots of vegetables and quite filling. The second time there we had the large Shrimp and Pork Wonton Soup. A little disappointed as the wontons were quite small and not much vegetables at all in the soup. Although wontons were yummy we felt like we were consuming a large bowlful of broth. Both times service was excellent and the server was very attentive to refilling our water glasses and tea. Will definitely be returning to try other items on the menu.
First time dining here. AC in this Asian fusion restaurant on a 35+Celcius day is very much appreciated. Very impressed with the cleanliness and the service. Ordered the Miso Sesame Ramen and the Thai Chicken. We were so excited stuffing our faces with the ramen that we forgot to snap pics of it. Ramen had lots of umami, and very yummy. The Thai chicken is so delicious. Highly recommended. We’ll definitely return to this restaurant next time we’re back in Kelowna. Thanks for the wonderful dining experience!
Sesame ramen broth is just moderate compared to other ramen restaurant, but the chashu with broth is good collaboration. The two appys we ordered were good especially the prawn was amazing! Just one thing i had bad experience was i wish she’d asked about cilantro when ordering foods.
I love this restaurant, I crave it more than anything in Kelowna. I always get the coleslaw, ohitashi and kinpira gobo. Favorite ramen so far is the shoyu.
Also tried bbq beef rice bowl and spicy coconut ramen. Really good.
Since moving into the neighbourhood we have tried both lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. The meals are excellent and they offer very generous servings. Serving staff are always very cheerful and attentive. Highly recommended!
Excellent spicy coconut ramen done just right, great flavor and piping hot. Bf had wonton ramen that was also very good. Defs one of the better ramen places in town.
